"Self-defense or otherwise, you fought him and therefore incriminated yourself. Had you left it alone he wouldn't have attacked you." He tightened his grip on the beast-folk, turning his chuckle into a strangled hiss. "Like I said, just pay the fine and let me do my--the hell are you doing?"" His tone grew puzzled when the Imperial's hands started taking off his helmet. He waved them away, though the Kahjiit scared them off first. "Don't touch my helmet. This is my personal space. Respect it, would you?" Akadar got a coin purse to the face in return for that comment. "I'm not staying in a jail cell tonight or you won't have a living Khajiit. Last of my coin..enjoy it." She sauntered off to the Bannered Mare before the guard could say more. Fralia caught his eye after the Imperial headed off. "That girl could be your future wife young lad!" Akadar scoffed at the remark and hefted the Kahjiit to his feet. "By the Eight, Fralia, have we not had this discussion enough times? You say this about every young maiden who passes through Whiterun. That is also the reason I do not court women." The old Nord simply shook her head, as though Akadar would never learn. He took the thief to the keep and passed him onto the jailer before ending his shift. He was done for the day, and for some odd reason something told him to head to the Bannered Mare and stay for a bit. He wouldn't refuse some good mead.

It was only a few minutes later, and she had a drink in her hand courtesy of the gent she was currently sitting on. She hadn't been joking when she told the guard it was her last coin. No matter she would make more in another hunt or travel outside the walls. She sipped the mead as the man joked with his men loudly. Though she was perched his hands were not on her body a lesson he learned promptly. He would have a swelled up eye later on, and even know it appeared bruised. She was growing tired of him however, not wanting anyone to think more into it. So she removed herself only giving the nord a wink when he complained reaching out to pull her back. She simply swatted his hands away then moved to the counter perching on top of it. "How much for a room." She asked wondering if she could persuade her way to a bed. "Maybe I can owe you? For one night?" She said soothingly a lull to her voice. Her grey eyes were warm making them appear silver. Stormy to silver depending on her mood, and a fog when she felt pain. She preferred not to have her eyes the color of fog. Her antics melted away when she heard the door to the Bannered Mare open. Curiosity was a fleeting thing for her, and it just happened to appear then.

Hanzar lead his horse into the Markarth stables. He quickly dismounted. "Yup, this is it. The wonderful, boring, quite city of Morthal. Nothing happens here, and I mean nothing." He said with a light chuckle as he tied the horses reins to a post. "Lets go and restock our provisions and then get ourselves and room and rest for our next trip. I could also use a good drink and some food in my stomach." Hanzar said calmly as he walked to the stable owner and handed him a pouch of coin for the three horses that just showed up. The argonian walked up to Mika and draped an arm over her shoulder and pulled her in closely. "I hope you don't mind if we share a room again." The male said in a quiet voice so Altavia or anyone else couldn't hear. It was ground upon for their races to be in contact with each other as friends but he couldn't help himself. He liked Mika and you can't help who you fall in love with. Hanzar walked slowly with Mika in his arm as they walked closer to Markarths gates.

Mika looked up at Hanzar in surprise as he put a arm around her. She did not complain as he pulled her close, in fact, she wrapped an arm around his waist. A smile danced upon her lips at his words lowering her own voice to whisper," Of course not. Though this time..I plan on having breakfast before we leave." She teased reaching up to give him a short kiss. She didn't know who's eyes would be watching, and if Hanzar had enemies looking for them. A Khajiit, and Argonian together would spread like fire, and that was all it would take for him to be found. She wouldn't put him at risk, but she couldn't help it. She needed contact especially since she lacked it most her life. It was almost addicting. She blushed as she dropped her gaze from him to the ground before lifting to settle on the gated before them. "We should also get armor here for you, and you Altavia if you need it." She turned her head to peer back at the other traveler with them. She didn't know if anything she owned got left, or damaged in Solitude. She then turned to look up at Hanzar a question in her gaze," Do we need anything else you can think of love?"

Akadar Strong-Blade - Male - 26 - Nord - Whiterun - Tagged: Anya - Your tags make my day Queen
Probably against his better judgement, Akadar headed back to the Plains district once he'd set aside his uniform for the night and headed to the Bannered Mare. Fralia Grey-Mare gave him a warm look, which he shot down with a glare. "Not a word." The woman smiled and returned to packing up her wares. "Enjoy yourself for once." The younger Nord didn't answer as he pushed open the door to the inn. The woman behind the counter greeted him kindly as he took a seat. "Akadar! It's been some time, good to see you." He nodded to her. "Been too long, Hulda. I'll have my usual." Hulda nodded and called for the Redguard working in the tavern to serve him. Soon he had himself mead and a meal, which he gratefully accepted after paying the coin he owed. It wasn't until then that he noticed the Imperial woman from earlier looking at him. "I was just doing my job, miss." Akadar sipped his mead. "By the way, that was only 78 Septims. I realize you were only defending yourself, but the law is the law."

She watched as a really good looking man entered her gaze traveling over his muscles admiringly. She then began to study his features only to go very still in surprise as she saw - his eyes. By the gods, this was the guard from earlier. She really wished she hadn't seen what he looked like now. Someone she was currently annoyed with shouldn't look so.. Anya scowled at him as he noticed her peering at him. His words if he had stopped at him just doing his duty would of been fine, but he smarted off some more. Her eyes were fire as she sipped her drink to cut off her response. It didn't work, and she slammed her drink down to snap at him,"There was 100 Septims in that bag. Are you here to haul me away because you counted wrong." Realizing she was drawing attention she took a breath turning to look at the woman behind the counter. There went her chances of persuading herself into a room. The woman was practically staring at the guard love struck. She bet most the women did, and for some reason that darkened her mood. She stared into her drink fuming before muttering," Sometimes the law isn't handled properly. Not all guards stick to your code you know." Anya didn't mean to sound so bitter about it, but there ya have it. She took a sip of her drink losing herself in its numbing properties. Slowly she found herself relaxing before she peered at him one more from behind her long blonde hair," Names Anya. Yours?"

The guard immediately received quite the backlash from his comment, the Imperial making a scene in the middle of the tavern. "No, I'm here to have a drink. I paid the remainder of what you were missing out of my own pocket. Goodness gracious." Akadar knew good and well not every guard followed the law by the book, but as a new recruit he received more scrutiny than those in the service longer, thus he pretty much had to. It took a few moments for the Reachwoman wannabe Imperial (or whatever she was) to regain her composure and return to her drink, which by the smell of it was a stiff one. After a couple sips she introduced herself, which Akadar assumed was the drink talking. Regardless, he replied."Akadar Strong-Blade." The Nord dipped his head to her politely. It wasn't long before the crowd disregarded their little spat and went back to their business, the bard beginning to sing "Ragnar the Red" for the crowd.

He paid for it out of his own pocket? There shouldn't of been anything to pay. Had there been a hole in her pouch, and she had been losing money unknowingly as she traveled around the city? Anya warily watched him for a moment silent even after his nod, and introduction. "I can hold my mead, but I can't my temper. Seems I have been a bit rash with you because of it. If you say there was 79 then it was as you don't seem the type to lie. I'll pay you back tomorrow after I hunt, and sell something for profit." She finally said a touch of embarrassment in her tone - just a touch. She turned so her back was to the counter, and she could eye the riff raff in the room swinging a leg over the other. "Do you always have this much female attention upon you?" She asked in amusement as she noticed one or two glaring at her. Ooo daggers. She turned a mischief gaze upon him before suddenly leaning in to run her lips softly over his cheek. "Ill pay you extra for being in your personal space tomorrow as well." She told him as she pulled away chuckling. She would definitely be getting the cold shoulder from the women in the morning. Her eyes now settling back on the other people in the room noting the Nord from earlier rising to head their way his stride a bit wobbly. "May I buy you another drink lassy." He huffed leaning in to spray them both with mead breathe. She gently shook her head gaze worried," I am good thank you, but you might want to order a room for yourself." She chided him sending him away with a slight push towards the Inn Keeper. "The people here in Whiterun are a friendly lot." She said a touch of fondness in her tone.

Altavia chuckled slightly at Hanzar's comment of Morthal. Surely something happened, but perhaps it wasn't as thrilling as three adventurers would be satisfied with. There's something to gain from anything if one pays attention. Perhaps nothing happened here because no one knew about it, and maybe she was right. Altavia dismounted and led Hanzar lead their horses away when Mika joked with her, telling her to make sure the Argonian didn't get into trouble. It could've been an honest mention, but the khajiit's light tone said otherwise. "You know I will." She replied. Then the coddle fest erupted between them. Altavia had only turned away for a moment to pat the stable owner's dog on the head! In reaction she pretended not to to notice, holding back a smirk until Mika asked her directly when they entered the city. "I could use some wrist guards." She replied with a stifled yawn. As much as she was intrigued by this town, she wasn't excited for anything other than a nap. It seems as if the two were going to be distracted with each other for a bit longer, and it wouldn't hurt to explore. Unless her wounds acted up again, but she doubted it. The cuts that tore down over her right eye and the side of her lip only itched slightly, and didn't feel so inflamed.
The girl readjusted her cloak and wandered off, crossing a bridge and passing Mooreside inn, which was probably where they would be resting. Then she came across several residencies and Highmoon Hall, where the Jarl must've lived. The girl spotted a regard man in mages robes and caught up with him. "Pardon me, by any chance have you been to Winterhold?
He seemed to dislike the college because of the choices the Arch Mage was making, and Altavia asked him about the College and what was happening in it's walls, but man left before her brother vanished, so it didn't help her case. He seemed to respect her inquisitive manners and allowed her to follow him to his home. There, she learned his name was Falion, and they spoke about magic over a complementary snack at his home. He taught her a conjuration spell that summoned a ephemeral bow and arrows, and was surprised to hear that he was no mage after how quickly she learned an apprentice's spell. She wasn't sure why the other townsfolk seemed to be aggressive towards him for all he'd done for her in that hour, and maybe he was grateful for her optimistic company. Altavia may have let some words slip from exhaustion and told him about her brother, "He's the real mage of the two of us." She noted. "And something's telling me he's still alive somewhere, but they're incredibly foggy feelings."
As a kind of consolation, Falion dismissed her payment for the conjuration lessons, telling her to keep practicing and brag about it to Celenr when she found him. He seemed so sure, not saying 'if'. It raised Altavia's faltering spirits. She bid him farewell and headed back across the long boardwalk towards the Inn, where she would expect to find Mika or Hanzar sooner or later, feeling rather accomplished.

Akadar felt her eyes remain on him after their introduction. "78, and there is no need to return the pay. It's only a few pieces of gold. And before you say anything else do not offer to pay me in another way. I will have none of that." The Nord found himself caught off guard slightly at her next question. What female attention? He spotted two women lounging by the fire, their eyes resting on him directly. "Oh, that female attention." The Imperial caught him off guard moreso when she very nearly kissed his cheek, whispering to him that she'd pay for that as well. "You had better. I very much dislike having my space violated." He grumbled, irritation crawling into his tone. Akadar kept words to himself when the Nord approached them, though he did answer Anya when she spoke. "It's the most traveled city in Skyrim. Hospitality is practically in its name. There is no shame in that, though. It just makes Whiterun a good place to settle."
