Anna listened to Zach's reply. Even though the other hybrid said he wasn't sleepy, Anna could tell that he was tired, or at least she knew that he probably was. Anna felt completely awake still, partly due to her owl DNA. Anna was sitting there, lost in thought, when Zach spoke again. Zach's question immediately distracted her from what she had been thinking about, and her full attention was on Zach. Anna instantly knew who Zach was talking about when he said "they". It was the people who had done this to them, the ones who had turned them into what they were now, people with animal mutations, and left them in the desert. The same people who treated them as if they were nothing more than just experiments. Zach's question brought up something that she hadn't really thought about, which was that the people who did this to them might come back and try to capture them or attack them or something during the night. Her main concern had been the animals or anyone else who lived here, not them.

She paused for a moment, thinking about what Zach had said. "I don't think they would come back this early," she replied after a few seconds. "Today is our first day here; I don't know why they would come back for us the same day as they left us here. And even if they did come back, I could wake you. Plus, I could probably see them quick enough to have time to warn you, since my owl DNA allows me to see in the dark better than I used to be able to. I'm sure you didn't sleep through them breaking down a door. They probably used tranquilizer or something so you wouldn't wake up. They used some sort of tranquilizer dart on me when they kidnapped me when I was walking to meet my friends at the place we usually met at." Anna stopped abruptly after finishing the sentence. She hadn't told anyone about her past, at all, while she was here. Not that there had really been anyone to talk to, but still. She instantly felt uncomfortable talking about her past, and she hoped that Zach wouldn't ask any questions about it.

"I think I remember reading something about a type of rock you could hit together and it could make a spark," the hybrid replied to Zach's other question, changing the subject. "Maybe there is some of that around here?" She spoke the last sentence as a question, unsure of whether or not that type of rock could even be found in the desert, or what it looked like. "And maybe we could take a few branches off of some bushes and shrubs. I saw a few around, but there wasn't many. We might be able to find enough to keep a fire going for the night though."

Itona nodded softly, a smile dancing on his lips. The male ruffled his feathers before shifting, going over to the small male, yellow eyes glancing to the fire. Itona lied down, not a meter away from the male as he stretched his wing out towards the male. "For when the fire dies and it gets cold," he muttered softly.
Itona wasn't one for being nice. But Masozi was just a kid. It wasn't like he could have just left him there... if he had he would have been no better than the people that put him in this place.

Rei looked around, her blue and glowing wings wrapped around her as she let out a scared whimper, managing to make it to the cave she had spotted. It was cold, she was scared. This was the first time she'd been let out. And she had run away after the other female was caught. Bae seemed more intested in the other dragon. Rei had guessed it was because she actually had dragon parts on her.

She sniffed slightly, using her wings as a blanket as she curled up slightly, shivering as a cold gust of wind made its way in.

L snorted, knowing very well that Mr. K was the only human that had authority over her, due to the fact that he was trained to take her down if the occasion arose. She knew it was one day bound to happen, the creature inside was unstable, major anger issues things like that. Well, until she bonded with someone. Though, she would be practically attached to them, not physically, but mentally, soul in all. It was the main reason she made herself distant from others, scaring them away so she didn't get close to them.

She watched as they walked away, her gaze lingered on Nakai for a moment before snorting, looking away and rushing off into another room.

Alex nodded in response to Ash agreeing with him. They walked in silence for a little bit longer. His ears began to swivel atop hos head as he heard movement round them. Since he was in a new terrain he assumed it was just unfamiliar animals in an unfamiliar lace s he didn't bother looking around. But boy was that a bad idea. Before he knew it a hybrid had dropped down in front of them, causing Alex to stop. He could easily tell she was a domestic, his ears pinning down on his head. A very unfamiliar smell filled his nose along with some cat, his nose scrunching up as the smell filled his nose.

His ears perked up once again as he heard shuffling behind him, he turned his head and saw another domestic behind the closing in on them both. A low growl emitted from his throat as he eyes the dog, no wolf, hybrid. He wasn't looking for a fight, he wanted to get into the lab wound free but he had a feeling that wasn't going to happen.

Bae was a little over whelmed with what was going on and how many people had showed up. Alexis was mumbling something on the ground before them. Bae was too interested with the events happening behind Nakai that he almost didn't hear Nakai speak to him. He focused back onto the domestic and gave a small smile "It's fine" he answered, then looked over at Eva as she took her leave "Okay see you later, little deer" he said quietly and flashed her a smile. He then focused back onto Alexis, stepping past Nakai and to the horse hybrid.

He looked up at Emelyn when she questioned them and he just shook his head in response. What was Alexis mumbling? The scientists seemed to be handling everything except helping Alexi with whatever was wrong. He then turned his body and tugged on Nakai's shirt "We need to help her"

Zach let out a shaky sigh at her responses. He noticed the abrupt stop and the quick subject change, and so the hint of please don't ask questions about it came to mind. After remaining silent for a few moments, he found himself struggling to keep his eyes open that he had been so sleepy. "F...Fine...I...I..I'll sleep..." He mumbled loud enough for her to hear, defeat in his hushed tone. The boy slipped off his shirt, leaving him in the plain white one he usually wore underneath, and rolled his red plaid into a pillow-like shape. He set it on the warm sand, which he knew that before long it would be lukewarm.

He then listened to her statement about the rocks and the name sprung to mind. "Flint." He whispered gently, rubbing his eyes once more, not caring that she saw this time since he had just given into the tireness. "W...Wake me up if you feel..." The boy's sentence was ironically interrupted with a yawn, which he decided was a better way to end the sentence. He shuffled forward slightly and lay down, resting his tousled hair onto the checked make-shift pillow and before long he was sleeping. For once, the hybrid appeared to be at peace rather than have the expression of worry painted on his delicate features.

the small feline boy blinked, looking over at itona before smiling rather warmly. as grumpy and abrasive as he seemed, the older dome hybrid wasn't really a bad guy. "thank you." he whispered softly, closing his eyes again and scooting closer, curling up next to him.

this wasn't so bad.

when light began to filter into the cave, masozi opened one large, chocolate-colored brown eye, looking out at the entrance to the hidden den. it had become warmer, the sand outside seeming to create a mirage even though the morning light was still weak. the cave was still cool and comfortable, and the boy's body ached for more sleep, but he knew if they were going to hunt they should do it before it got too hot outside. sitting up, masozi reached out, pressing one soft, furry hand to itona's shoulder and shaking him faintly. "oi. wake up." he chuffed softly, before getting to his feet, brushing the dust from his fur, tail swinging lazily.

Anna was relieved when Zach didn't ask any questions about the life she had once had. It wasn't that her life had been bad; it's just that Anna didn't like talking about it ever since the scientists had brought her here. The topic made her feel lonely and homesick, so she tried to avoid the subject, since it was obvious they weren't getting out of here anytime soon. When Zach agreed to sleep, Anna felt a little glad that the other hybrid finally decided to get some rest. While Anna felt slightly uncomfortable at being the only one awake, she knew that Zach needed to rest, and that the more sleep they got tonight, the better off they would be tomorrow. She watched as Zach lied down on the ground and saw him move his arm and rub his eyes with his hand. Anna was still trying to remember more about the type of rock, thinking hard as she tried to remember the name, when Zach replied, "Flint". The word caught Anna off guard for a second, as she wasn't expecting Zach to reply. It took her a second to comprehend what the other hybrid had said, since she had been lost in thought, before suddenly realizing that Zach had just said the name of the rock. "Yeah," she said softly, her voice about as quiet as a whisper, "flint." As Zach spoke again, Anna nodded in agreement to what the hybrid had said. "I will," she promised. It wasn't long after that before everything was silent. She was sure Zach was sleeping, as he hadn't spoken in a while. Anna looked around, checking the land in front of them and everywhere around them. She didn't see anything. Just desert. She didn't even see the outline of any type of shrubs or plants. She also couldn't hear anything. They were the only ones in this area for now. Anna shifted her wings slightly and continued to watch and listen, hoping that they wouldn't encounter anything during the night.

Anna slowly opened her eyes as the sky began to grow lighter. The owl and wolf hybrid had been sleeping, as she had switched roles with Zach during the night. Anna shifted her position slightly, moving her wings a little in an attempt to shield her eyes from the sunlight. She felt like closing her eyes again and going back to sleep, but she knew that she shouldn't. Instead, the hybrid remained lying on the ground for a few seconds as she attempted to wake up, before using her arms to push herself up into a sitting position. She squinted in the bright light for a moment until her eyes adjusted to the change in lighting. The air still felt cool, but it wouldn't be long before the desert started to become warm again. Glancing around, Anna could see that nothing had changed since the night before. She didn't see anyone else nearby, other than Zach, and from what she could tell, it looked like nothing had come this way during the night either. Anna was sitting a few feet away from Zach, the same place she had originally been when she tried to sleep the first time and then couldn't. She brushed the sand off of her shirt with her hands and quickly ran her fingers through her hair once, making sure there wasn't any sand in her hair. She also quickly brushed any dust there was off of her wings and from her tail. Then she moved to sit next to Zach. "Morning," she said as moved to sit next to him. She absentmindedly brushed a strand of hair out of her face with her right hand as she gazed at the desert around them. They hybrid wondered which direction they should go first that day to look for food and water. She hoped that it wouldn't be too hard to find water. Anna looked at Zach. "So, where do you think we should go first?" she asked the other hybrid.

Ari had a rough time yesterday. She failed to find water and it was needless to say she was exhausted. She had managed to find a place to sleep for the night, wrapping her wings around herself for some sort of protection and warmth from the cold desert night. Who knew it could boiling hot during the day and freezing at night, it made no sense. and it angered her.

She would probably be crying right now but the lack of water in her body wouldn't let her. This was miserable, the forest was so much better and she actually enjoyed it there. Were they trying to kill them all? She was pretty confident they were. This had to be the first time in her life she wished to be in the lab, with air conditioner and water. She longed to be there with group one, for once. It was a death wish, but she needed water.

She was far too tired to fly, so she was stuck walking to find a water source. She will eventually build up enough energy to fly above the ground a few feet to scout out the area then be back on the ground dragging herself. She would never wish this on her enemies, never.

Alysha ran her fingers through her now white hair as she rose in her cot. Group one still wasn't brought in and her along with the other domestic were very angary urged by the scientists to have them in by today. It's not her fault her fellow domestics are so slow and bad at catching a dehydrated nd exhausted domie. It isn't that hard.

In a matter of minutes Alysha had scarfed down her breakfast and gotten ready. She grabbed the list of domies from her cot and Mira was left to bring in. Last she hear Alexis was causing trouble in the lab and Alex was on his way to being caught. But nothing about little Mira. So that is her target today. She could do it on her own, no help needed.

On her way out of the lab she grabbed her equipment along with a water to go in the pack she carried on her back. She hadn't been in the dome yet but she knew it was dreadfully hot out there. And as she stepped out in the endless desert she realized that was an understatement. This was like walking through and oven. The large ears atop her head lowered as a sweat began to form on her forehead just form standing. This was going to be a long day.

He opened his wings, fanning out the feathers and watching with mild amusement as darts and stones fell from his feathers. He put them into the makeshift ox before looking to Masozi, arms behind his back.

"Are you still wanting to go hunting or take a bath? The water is nice and cool at this time and since you have fur I think reason calls for the latter."

The girl had woken up an hour ago, and had wandered. She had provided herself with some ice, sucking on it until it had melted. She had not used her wings, keeping them hidden from sight. She was happy that she had naturally cool skin, never having over-heated.

Her blue eyes had rested on a pink spot. It wasn't far, only a couple minutes f she ran, but what if it was dangerous? She sighed, curiosity getting the better of her as she made her way towards the pink splotch.

It was boring, she was bored. L had rushed off soon after that horse thing had been taken away and Mr. K had ordered her to her room until further notice. Who knew how long that could be.

That man seemed to think he could control her, a hardened war veteran. L grumbled to herself, tail flicking lazily beside her as her blue and red eyes glanced over to her mask.

Ari could just collapse, her feet already were sliding across the dirt and sand. She wasn't far from falling then and there. This was hopeless. She moved her hand to her bangs were she pushed them back out of her face, showing her eye for once in her life. A scar stretched diagonally, around the cornier of her outer eye towards her nostril. A scar that was unmistakable and embarrassing, which is why her hair is almost covering that side of her face.

But today, and maybe tomorrow, her hair would have to be tucked behind her ear, sweat helping to keep the hair out of her left eye. And boy did the view seem brighter. She let out a deep breath and focused ahead, seeing a figure in the distance. It seemed to be..wiggling? wss it just an illusion? or was the heat that powerful? Who knew, but she might as well head that direction. No Domestic would be out here in the heat to mess with her, they would most likely be focused on getting group one and that's it.

Her feet seemed to get heavier and heavier, occasionally she would have to outstretched nd flap them a few times to keep herself upright and from collapsing. The good thing was that the figure seemed to be getting closer and more clearer.

She watched as the figure shifted, the swaying meant they may be close to passing out. Rei hurried, her feet sinking in the sand withh each passing step. Her wings burst from her back moments later with a burst of cold blue fire. She watched the girl, eyebrows raised with worry. "H-hey...?" She called, now only three meters away with her wings shading her from the burning sun. She may be natuarrly cool but that didn't mean she couldn't get burnt.
