Chelsea didn't like this Calix. Not one bit. Smug, overconfident twat that he was. However she was mildly impressed that he had so quickly figured out Liam's ruse, not that it would have been hard for him, him not being alive and all. That was a little strange but then again not the strangest thing that she'd ever come across. She watched as the man proceeded to demonstrate his own powers, a telekinetic, great. That explained the smug attitude. When he addressed her directly she did her best to curb her tongue, "I made an alliance with Mr. Illusion because I actually like him. You two on the other hand gave off an instant vibe of being overconfident and smug. Two traits I do not value in companions." She said, resisting the urge to call them anything stronger. "As for your condescending attitude I'd advise you to remove it if you ever want to form a decent alliance on this island. Darling." She said, referring back to what he had called her when he started speaking, sarcasm laced in her words.
Her gaze was then drawn to the girl, Julia, whose hands were swimming with the shadows she knew so well. Her gaze almost noticeably darkened, that wasn't good. Her powers were unstable even for her, an experienced person, for someone not experienced the results could be dangerous. "You're a fool." She said after the girl had spoken and dismissed the shadows in her hands. "Don't mess with the shadows if you don't know how to properly use them." All hostility had faded from her voice and now there was a tinge of worry. The girl could hurt herself if she didn't know what she was doing. Before she could say anything else Liam began to speak again. This time explaining his own hostility and introducing himself to the pair. At the mention of enjoying the "thrill of the game" her demeanour changed slightly, she didn't enjoy it necessarily but she had become accustomed to it. Perhaps that was why she was so hostile to the two in the beginning.
When she again met the gazes of the others she had brightened up slightly. "Look I'm sorry for the hostility but trust isn't something I do well. Neither is making friends. But... but if we can get off this island I'm all game. I've been held against my will far too long and I could do with getting my own back." She said, also offering a hand forward for the other two to shake. She may not particularly like them yet but she could only assume that they too had only acted hostile out of distrust and in response to her's and Liam's own hostility. She thought back to her time in the ring and decided something. She would make allies but she wouldn't get attached. Make allies, don't get attached. Make allies, don't get attached. Make allies, don't get attached...
