Abelia was unable to resist a relieved smile as he assured that she now had company, leaning against him ever so slightly, savoring the comfort he offered her. As intimidating as he might appear, she didn’t feel anything towards it, rather taking in a sense of protection from his grand size, and the ever so slight edge to his personality that she was able to pick up on. Truth be told, she found it only more intriguing, curious to know every unique detail about this ever so handsome Vincent. She furrowed her brow slightly as she noticed he appeared to be in slight pain, wondering what she had said or done incorrectly, and for a short moment growing somewhat uncertain, wishing to ask if he were alright, but at the same time, finding herself unable to do so for sake of not having an awkward or tense air between them, she quite liked the moment that they were sharing, and it only seemed to continue to blossom into more. The thought caused for her to practically melt in happiness, her eyes watching him eagerly, ears set on everything in which he spoke, and her mouth uttering her thoughts in perfect sync, though at times wishing she might have checked over her thoughts before saying some of the things in which she did. Abelia listened intently as he began to state why he had come, though showing an ever so slight look of confusion as he began to say one thing, and quickly cut himself off, correcting his error. She let it go for the time being, though curious enough she might try and bring it up later, if she felt it was of enough importance, though it may have been an honest mistake. Of course, there was something about the way in which he had tried to play it off that peaked her curiosity. She nodded her head simply in agreement to what he said, being as she felt much the same way as he did about being here. Her case being she was tired of being so alone in the world, and greatly needed a sense of companionship. So much of her life had been dedicated to caring for her father, that she never had much time, nor ability to go out with intentions of making friends or being in a relationship. Now was her chance to branch out in the world, and find others that brought out the best in her. Much like Vincent was currently, there was just something about being near him that felt right, and she wasn’t bound to let the opportunity of romance to pass them by, a feeling of longing striking her deeply the longer she was in his company. Abelia was unable to help but blush slightly as she heard his abrupt question, though she nodded her head, and listened in great interest as he began to tell her of how they had come to be a part of his ever so attractive body.
The fact he seemed to receive so many from fighting concerned her, showing a disappointed look as she turned to him, practically begging for his attention. “You don’t fight anymore do you Vincent?” she asked in a nearly hopeful manner, a hand reaching up to hold his jaw, running her finger along his defined jawbone as she examined his elusive eyes, finding a look within them that brought her immediate joy and pleasure. It appeared as though he may feel many feelings towards her in which she did him. Abelia nearly rolled her eyes at his question, though thought for a moment before allowing herself to speak. “In a way, I do. Of course, I don’t necessarily like how they came to mark a person. They tell a story, one that the bearer may not be willing to tell of,” she ended with a thoughtful gaze, turning her head away ever so slightly as he began to search her features, her hand leaving his handsome face to move her hair away from her jaw and neck, revealing a long, jagged scar in which she never told anyone about. “This came from a job I had at a stable. One of the women there had some… problems, and one day I happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I truly don’t even remember anything of it,” she admitted, sighing slightly, remembering the intense pain she had felt when she awoke in the hospital that day. “They never found her,” she murmured quietly towards the end, remembering that the stable had no records of the bizarre woman. She must have been a wonderer, because no one knew anything of her. The thought sent a chill down her spine, tucking herself in ever so slightly closer to Vincent’s side, finding his warmth to be very comforting. As she heard him speak her name, her gaze looked up to his, sitting up so that she was no longer resting against him, raising an ever so curious brow as her gaze met his. “Yes Vincent?” she returned, her head tilting ever so slightly to the side as she ran a thumb over the rough skin of the palm of his hand, showing that she was prepared for whatever he felt a need to tell her.
