cal listened to her felt a bit sorry about how her parents died. turning his attention towards alannis and then sora he nodded in agreement. he went back into silence, and walked. waiting for call from his companion, stucker. ben walked along with the group, being just as quiet as he always is. watching his surroundings intently. rin began to rustle inside the bag, and stuck his head out and placed it on bens shoulder.

Grey was wrapped in thick cloaks, they'd been up into the mountains moving the horses. The mares had to be moved into the valley, they were better protected on every side from the monsters that way. He resembled a beast more than a man wrapped as he was. Minks prowled close, his rustic orange pelt stood out like a sore thumb. The stallion Grey rode was huge, but he moved with the sure footedness of a much smaller lither horse. He had mountain horse in him, but the stallion only reflected the elegant lines bred into it, he had thick bone but he was refined instead of harsh.

Also on him was a thick animal fur functioning like a quarter sheet to help keep the stallion warm. They made their way into the forest moving slowly, Grey still felt the chill deep in his bones and shivered. Minks suddenly stiffened his body frozen as he stared around, ears flicking, humans, through the forest. his deep and comforting voice in Grey's head was familiar, but his message was not. He frowned, Grey hadn't seen humans for a while. Not just ONE human, humans. With an S. This was strange, and wherever there were many humans, Grey knew there would be trouble.

As they continued on walking the sun seemingly falling lower and lower in the sky. Alannis walked on humming her hand gently stroking Light's head as they walked. Slowly she pulled her sleeves she had rolled up down it slightly chilly. The warmth of Light's side against her leg sent signals of fluffy warmth through her. This was there usual thing, they'd always walk close together like this... it conserved energy and kept them both happily warm. Alannis sung softly under her breath just barely audible to the human ear... it was mostly for Light.
Light enjoyed hearing Lani's voice it was soft and sweet. She would sing to her at random times to break a silence just for the pure heck of it. "Ever since I could remember, everything inside of me, just wanted to fit in... Oh, oh, oh..." she sung her voice rather nice and lovely against the silence. "If I told you what I was would you turn your back on me? Or if I seemed dangerous, would you be scared?" slowly her voice fades and comes back once more. "A monster, a monster, I've turned into a monster..."
Light purred against Alannis as the two continued to move on with the others, quite content with the short little melody of her partners voice. Silence once again rung over the group hunger finally settling in to the pair's stomachs them having gone without food mostly all day. It was a good thing they were stopping soon. But Light sensed a darkness behind them... definitely another monster like earlier. Possibly bigger. It was seriously gaining grounds on them now... maybe a good thirty minutes behind. She couldn't smell it, see it, or anything, but boy she could sense it's darkness.

She nodded at Alannis. "If we pick up our pace some then we should be able to get there before long. We have a couple of hours. If it gets too dark then we'll have to camp out in the open. We would just have to have to make a fire as big as possible to keep them at bay. If there's one similarity between them and us it's that we all fear fire." She dropped the now bare flower stem to the ground when Jaeda suddenly stopped in her tracks and sniffed at the air. Sora turned to face her, "What's wrong Jaeda?" She looked up at Sora and just before she had a chance to say something a group of about 6 dog like creatures attacked. They varied in size but all were about the size of a medium sized dog. They had long vampire fangs that hung 2 inches past their lower jaw when their mouths were closed. They had tall, spiked ears with a spiked ball on the tip of their tails. Their eyes were small and beady and they had claws that could retract, but at the moment they were exposed and were the length of small razor blades. They growled and hissed and began circling the 4 of them. Jaeda snarled in return and bared her own fangs before she moved to stand at Soras back so she could protect her from behind.

{{ We can make it double fun by having the giant monster Light sensed come too. I wrote mine then when I went to post it it showed yours and I'm simply too lazy to re-write it. So i figured we could just connect the two. That okay?

benny didn't have time, though he knew he had to hurry, he whipped out the daggers which were covered in posion and closed his eyes, twisting his body and flinging it. the sound of a yelp escaping into the forest. he had hit one of those dog like beasts in it's shoulder. the stab had stunned him and caused the creature to fall to the earth. ben knew there were more he could see them as they surrounded the group. he held another poisoned blade in his hand and was ready to fling it. this poison is from a fast acting sea snake, belcher's sea-snake. a single bite could kill a human, and it won't hurt at first. soon the poison will cause you to loose feeling in your lower body, and then move up to your lungs and suffocate you. he watched the dog like creature he stabbed and watched it suffocate in the two minute he stabbed it with the dagger. he stood behind cal and threw another one of his weapons on another one of the creatures, throwing it off guard. though it still came towards the group.

cal was now on alert, he had no idea where stucker was now and stood back to back with ben. he drew the sword and watched the giant creatures come towards them. Where is STUCKER!!!! he yelled swinging his sword in the air as he landed upon one of the monsters. not really hurting it, but knocking it back.

It all happened rapidly, six dog like creatures busted out of no where. Alannis reached for her sword pulling it out just in time to slice at one of the mutts. With in a second it charges again knocking her off her feet sending her sword skidding away. Pinned to the ground and helpless she calls out as the beasts claws dig into her shoulders "Light! Aim for the neck!" That was all it took. Within a split second light was on the mutt tearing away, managing to yank it off Alannis she flung it to the ground where it hit with a yelp.
Leaping up to her feet and grabbing her sword, shoulders now torn up, Alannis walked over and slammed the sword down decapitating her attacker. She was fast yes, but she lacked in strength making it harder for her to really clash with these powerful beasts. Turning to the others Light leaped up at one of the mutts grabbing it in her jaws shaking violently. Don't. Touch. My. PEOPLE, she seemed to growl as she ripped away at it.
Alannis wiped blood from her shoulders and arms as she walked over and slammed her sword down on the mutt Light pinned. Two down. That was good. All of a sudden a roar pierced through the woods and Light whipped around looking to Alannis in shock. The monster had gained fast. This wouldn't end well. Alannis yelled to the others running off of adrenalin, "We've gotta run! We'll never be able to take that monster and these mutts!" The second her words came out another mutt jumped towards Light and Alannis moved tucking and rolling landing in front of Light her sword out stretched as the beast rammed himself into the sword. AHA! Light mocked. Nice one Lani!

She watched the others as they fought to keep themselves from being killed by the malicious and vicious dog like creatures. As soon as she heard the loud growl of the much larger monster she knew that this was going to head downhill, fast. They needed to find a way to escape. Outrunning these beasts was impossible. When one of the dogs jumped at her face, she gripped her bow with both arms and swung it like it was a baseball bat, hitting it square in the head causing it to yelp and lunge for her again. Before it had a chance to reach her, Jaeda launched at it; snapping her teeth over its throat and biting harder until it died. She didn't know how to get away from the rest of them until she remembered the rabbit she had in the sack on her back. She yanked out an arrow, stabbed it through the poor animal that would have fed her tonight, and pulled it back in her bow before she let it fly. It soared a few hundred feet away before embedding itself in a tree. The dog-like things, catching the scent of blood and food, took off after it. "Hurry! We need to get away before they finish off the rabbit!"

{{ So sorry that I disappeared! I hate it when people do that and I feel really bad about it. I've been having lacrosse practice everyday after school and then I get home late and I have homework and I'm exhausted; but I'm here now!

as they fought the monsters cal noticed that sora had distracted them for a period of time. quickly he grabbed benny's arm and bolted in the direction the were headed. stumbling a bit over his own feet. he looked behind him to ensure everyone was following and running as well. as he ran along he heard the laughter of his beloved bonded animal, stucker. it only made him run faster in the direction of the hyena. when he came into his eyesight he noticed that stucker had found something. hurry i have found a tunnel! the hyena said through their minds.

calcifur turned to the others and waved his hand. stucker found a tunnel.. he said and as he narrowed in on it, he realized that it would be a drop downwards, almost like a slide. it's a narrow fit, you may have send your bags down first. he said as he began to take his off, throwing it ahead of him at the hyena who caught it in his jaws. cal sent benny down first, before going down himself.
