Nicholas smiled, flicking black hair out of his eyes
as he watched the girl relax, "You could say that.
I've been here for a few weeks, this is where I hunt
and sleep and live in general."

The man took a moment to lay back, tucking his arms
behind his head and staring upwards at the sky, "It's
pretty amazing when you think about it. Every other
wolf has a territory and borders and yadda yadda. We
have these unspoken rules in our society that tell us
who we can befriend and who we can't. Never really
saw the point in them though. A river is a river, the
fish aren't going to run out any time soon." A small
chuckle, the man was amused at himself. He knew his
way of thinking was alien to a lot of wolves.

Alastair was pleased at the smile that spread across Cybil’s face and although his wolf huffed, he returned the smile. He knew it would not be as easy as words to drop all tension between the two but it was certainly a start and when Amos smiled at him, he relaxed the tension that had built between his shoulder blade. He watched as she reached out a dainty hand, and he in return grasped it, feeling her power mingle with his. He relaxed, his power dancing with hers as the two settled their ranks. As alpha and beta, they would eventually need to form some sort of bond, as it was them that the pack depended on. When her words about Mika reverberated through his ears, he smiled slightly “Uh yeah, I mean I have” he remarked, for the first time his voice awkward as he spoke, running his free hand through his hair “I’ll definitely take you up on that” He remarked, nodding to her kindly. He released his hand and looked up towards the building “I better go find her” he remarked, again smiling at the two before jogging towards the building. He slipped in carefully and allowed his eyes to adjust to the change in light “Mika?” he called, awaiting a response.

Mika finally sighed having worked out her frustration on packing up anything breakable in the house..well the important rooms. Now that she was more settled she was feeling bad for snapping at Cybil..It wasn't like she ordered Amos to use his powers on them. Amos had just done it falling back on his power without thinking. It just really bothered her him touching her, and she didn't know why. Well she did..so far she had started the touch with everyone that had put a hand on her except Amos. It was like an unspoken agreement that they could that he didn't have. Which now that she thought on it was stupid. She had lashed out childishly. Mika sighed holding a China dish up to stare at her reflection in it. Alpha but chosen omega. She doubt her wolf would ever settle with such a rank, but she was happy with it. "I should really apologize..She isn't a bad Alpha, but it's like she is a whole different person. Plus Amos, he was just doing what he is suppose to do. He really needs to learn though when to use it, and when to just talk. I need to learn when to not storm off, and to explain my words. You need to learn when to not be at the end of these conversations." She was talking to a plate..Yep. Mika rolled her eyes at herself putting the plate in the box. She was just packing it up when she heard someone call her name. "Coming!" She called back giving the box one last look before walking away back into the foyer were she saw Alastair. "You called?" She asked searching his gaze. He didn't seem so tense so she had missed something. She would figure it out later.."Everything is boxed up so we don't break it at the coronation." She said softly arms going behind her back clasping her hands together.

The well built man stood before Mika, a goofy smile spreading across his face as she smiled up at him "Thats good, we wouldnt want to break anything" he remarked, laughing slightly. He reached out carefully and tucked a stray hair behind her ear, his breath skipping slightly. Inside him, his wolf stirred in approval, his deep blue eyes tracing over her. "I wanted to make sure you were okay, you seemed tense" he remarked, tilting his head towards the side, a softness in his eyes he rarely held there. He was no longer anxious and his powers still swirled around him, worked up from the initial settling of power between him and his Alpha. He felt worked up, however, and wanted nothing more than to relax, he wondered if Mika needed the same "would you like to go sit and talk with me?" He asked in a kind voice, a sly smile spreading across his face.

Faeryn

Faeryn turned towards the gentleman. So he slept here and lived here. She didnt remember the last time she had spent more than two nights in a single place. In reaction to the thought she placed her hand on her pocket, touching the athame that hid in its sheath. She turned her eyes back to him just a black shadow emerged from the bushes. Val had finally reappeared, showing his face to Nick. She smiled slightly, her face turning slightly red "Um, this is Val" she remarked, her hand waving towards the cat that, with distaste, leapt across the stream before making his way to the rocks. He leapt to her side, curling his body around her sides. She turned to him nervously, running a hand through her purple hair as her other hand grazed the tomcat at her side.

She blushed as she realized he was looking at her more softly then he ever had before. His worry made her blush, and she gave a small nod. "I just..I don't know. The tension got to me like it did everyone else." She told hIm with a sigh her ear tingling from his small brush of her hair. She couldn't help, but search his gaze until he spoke about talking on the couch. It broke her into movement, and she took his hand leading him over to the furniture. "I would love that ." She hummed realizing talking with him would be easier. He could give her advise, and comfort. Funny how he could do that in such a short time. Reaching it she pushed him gently down before lowering on to his lap. Her head snuggled into his chest before she paused wondering what his reaction would be. It was such a bold move, but she felt like they both needed it. Needed the closeness if only for a little bit.

After sharing a late meal with Amos, Hayden had made his way back to his quarters for the night. Exhausted by the events of the day, he quickly drifted off to sleep. He wasn't sure what time it was when he awakened, and wasn't even sure why he'd been suddenly jolted out of his sleep until he heard the sound echoing through the air: the howl of a werewolf, which caught at his instincts and made his wolf form rise to prominence in his mind. The summoning howl had him leaping up from his bed in an instant and he was ready to charge right out of the room, but remembered to get dressed and presentable first in the nick of time.

Padding downstairs, Hayden saw that many wolves were gathered in the downstairs level of the cabin, their purpose there wasn't clear at first and he looked around in hopes of figuring out what was going on. He saw Mika in the company of a stranger he didn't know, and his gaze immediately shot to her waist, and gave a small sigh of relief as he saw that the bandages were still in position and she didn't seem to be in pain. It reminded him that he still hadn't caught a glimpse of Violet all evening since she'd disappeared from the medicine room, and he couldn't spot her here either, which made him worried all over again.

Mika feeling eyes on her perked up from Alastair's chest placing hands on his shoulders to help her look over the couch's back. She saw it was Hayden having been wondering where the healer went off too. A flash of unease crept through her gaze as she realized he probably didn't know about Violet. Should she tell him or call for Amos? It would be better from Amos as it was obvious they were close, plus it brought up Benji. She was in another mans lap, and it was time she let that go. Her wolf sure had, and if her wolf was going to mate then she needed to try to connect human wise. You couldn't do that if you were hanging on could of beens. "Amos! Hayden is awake!" She called out the open front door worry in her tone. She knew the omega would catch it, and know her worries. He was smart like that..she flashed Hayden a small wave then brought her attention back to Alastair. Mika froze when she realized her bosom was practically smothering the guy. Cheeks red she lowered herself back into a sitting position quickly going into an explanation," Violet was his apprentice...he doesn't know she left. His close to Amos though so it would be best if the news came from him." As she thought of the healer, and apprentice she looked down at her side to check her bandages. Still in place, but she should change it soon. She returned her gaze to him once more a small smile upon her lips.

Hayden started and then blushed as he realized his staring had been noticed by Mika as she turned his way, wrapped in the arms of a guy who was definitely stronger than Hayden (and, incidentally, definitely not Benjamin Manchester... But that was none of Hayden's business...) The healer quickly waved and took a step back, not wanting either of them to get the wrong idea. The new wolf might not know that Hayden was the healer and simply trying to visually assess Mika's injury, at a glimpse... at least he hadn't been staring at her chest. He briefly considered going over there to introduce himself to the new wolf, but when Amos was mentioned all those thoughts flew out of his head.

It was embarrassing how quickly Hayden's heart sped up when considering being in Amos's company. After all, they'd been together in the kitchen just a few hours ago, yet it didn't seem to matter what little time had passed, he still felt eager to speak with the omega again. And he couldn't help but remember Amo's flirtatious tone as they chatted together... Hayden shook his head to clear his thoughts. He nodded to Mika and the strange newcomer, who were speaking to each other again and seemed lost in each others' company... though he saw that Mika had a serious look on her face, and again wondered whether something had happened since he'd been asleep, and what had warranted the group howl?

Seeking answers, Hayden stepped towards the front door to which Mika had called, looking around for Amos.

Nicholas grinned, reaching out one delicate hand to
greet the small cat. A chuckle rumbled through his
chest and he glanced up at Fae, noticing her bright
red cheeks. She was cute when she blushed.

"You're cute when you blush." Where had that
come from? More importantly, why was he saying it
out loud? Oh well...too late to turn back now.
"You drop your eyes and try to hide behind your
hair. But the purple only makes your red cheeks
stand out more."

Was that amusement dancing through his tone? Probably.
Nick found the girl charming, and her cat was quite nice
too.

"So dawn goes down to day, nothing gold can stay..."

Amos grinned as he turned, greeted by the sight of
none other than Hayden himself. "Hello little pup.
Took you long enough to join us." His brown eyes
twinkled in amusement as he wandered over, slipping
an arm over Hayden's shoulder.

A moment. A pause, and Amos let the mood settle before
breaking the news. "Hayden you probably don't know
why we're gathered. But Benji and Violet have dissapeared.
Cybil is promoted to alpha, the brute inside with Mika is
Alistair, our new beta...and...well we were hoping you
knew someone who could take Violet's spot as your apprentice."

As Amos spoke he lowered his voice, keeping the conversation
between him and Hayden, eyes glittering with concern for
the soft hearted healer.

Licking his lips to remove any remains of their meal, Kieran sat back onto his haunches, eyes roaming the forest around them, making sure that any pack members that might be scouting or hunting didn't sneak up on them. The sweet trill of the various birds hidden in the trees above them caused his ears to twitch lightly, as though they were trying to catch each call individually. Her sudden standing caught his attention, and he looked at her, a quizzical amusement burning in his eyes. It must have been a long while since her last meal. He felt almost guilty for keeping her from hunting for so long, but her relief now was almost palpable. He stood himself, silently nodding at her words. The mischievous glint that danced in her eyes caused him to smirk, pondering what she had in mind. He watched her quizzically when she nudged him, letting her get ahead a ways before following her. The cool air stung his lungs lightly as he moved quietly, one ear flicked in her direction while the other listened intently for anything that might approach. If he were to look away for too long, her dark pelt would be almost impossible to spot again, and, in all honesty, he felt almost jealous. His own pelt could be difficult to spot at times, but travelling seamlessly through the shadows could be difficult when your nose and legs are almost entirely white. Catching her eye as she seemed to search for him, he dipped his head, changing his gait to close the distance between them. "Will we go up to the main building, see how close we can get?" He asked, wondering what her plan was, if she had one at all. He cast her a sideways glance, a slight tilt to his head as he regarded her. A scent caught his attention, and he whirled his head around to catch sight of the broad chest of a powerful stag, regarding them with wary eyes, keeping himself between his little herd and the predators. Stomach full, Kieran had no intention of giving chase, and so he paused, nudging Elspeth's shoulder to catch her attention. "Look." he breathed, regarding the deer with a mixture of admiration and excitement. It was a rare thing to be so close to such a shy, careful animal, particularly in this form, and the sheer raw power of the male deer was always something that Kieran admired. Watching them on nature programmes on television, he had always love the rush of adrenaline and nerves as a pair of tanks clashed antlers, tufts of lost fur and occasionally blood showing how dangerous they could truly be. Standing here now, eyes locked with the tall stag, caused his fur to bristle slightly, a thrill running through his veins. He stood almost protectively between his companion and the stag, ready to stop her if she attempted to give chase. After a few moments of silence, the stag turned, ushering his does away from danger. Kieran remained completely unmoving, even after the deer had moved on. Shaking his head, he sighed lightly, looking back to the front. "I honestly didn't think there'd be deer this close to the Reservation." He mused, picking up his pace once again.
