Ashton Kyte
panromantic asexual | experimental | 30% grizzly, 10% crow | group five | Alex
Ash blushed ever so slightly as Alex seemed to be awed by his knowledge of the night sky, a bit embarrassed by the attention. He ignored this feeling, however, and continued searching the sky as Alex asked if he knew anything else about the stars. "I guess I know a bit, but not nearly as much as some people," he mumbled modestly. "I only know a couple other things... See that bright, reddish star up there?" He gestured to it in case Alex couldn't find it. "That's Antares. It's, uh, part of the Scorpius constellation, I'm pretty sure."
Emily Roberts
bisexual | natural | 21% Steller's jay | group three | Zyr
Emily huffed at Zyr's comment, but followed her instructions and managed not to step on any more cacti. However, she didn't heed her advice to keep her head down; although she had to admit that to do so would be smart if she wanted to avoid tripping over rocks or stepping on cacti, she would rather keep her eyes on the outcrop on the horizon, which they seemed to be approaching rather quickly. Besides this logical enough reason, hubris likely played into it as well, at least a little. The bird girl only walked with her head held high.
"Alrighty, once we get to the shelter, I'm gonna need you to-" Emily froze upon hearing a faint rustle in the sparse brush behind them. Instinctively fluffing her wings up a bit, she muttered to cat girl, "...You heard that, right?" After a pause, she added, "Can you, uh, smell anything?" Cats are supposed to have a good sense of smell, right?
Hopefully, whatever that was behind them wasn't another hybrid; Emily didn't have the time nor patience to have another little chat, but they were close enough to the outcrop that the other would easily be able to follow them home. And what if it was a domestic? That was exactly the opposite of what they needed right now. She'd rather come face-to-face with a coyote than another hybrid at the moment, that was for sure.
Eva Deichmann
bisexual | experimental | 45% Peary caribou | domestic | Bae
Eva let out a small sigh of relief to hear that she wasn't hurting Bae at all. "Okay, all done," she said, putting the remaining gauze on the cot beside them. As Bae reached over to put on his shirt, she couldn't help but to ask just one more time, "A-are you sure the nurse is okay with you leaving the ward?" Not only did she not want Bae to get hurt, but it just occurred to her that if he were to get hurt, she could also get in trouble for letting it happen. Now, don't get me wrong; she'd rather herself get punished than someone else any day. But the prospect of possibly risking punishment, even if it was an incredibly slim chance, kind of terrified her.
