- As Legolas spoke, he could see the human observing him thoughtfully, absorbing the information he was being given. From what he had discerned of the boy so far, the elf was now certain that there was more to the lad behind his extravagant gestures and quicksilver words; he was certainly more mature than he let on, though why the boy kept his maturity from him, Legolas didn't know. When the human relinquished his name, he emphasized his introduction with a smirk and a lavish bow. By now Legolas had become somewhat accustomed to this "Killua's" eccentric mannerisms and only really noticed the expectant look the youth shot him after introducing himself; it was almost as if Killua had expected the elf to recognize the title, but all Legolas could do was give a sheepish half-smile in apology.
"Infamous to the point in which I've never heard of you or your family," he murmured, half to himself. And - Kukuroo Mountain? 'English'? The name 'Kukuroo' was odd and certainly wasn't Elvish, as most of the names in Middle-earth were, and he couldn't recall a specific area within the any of Arda's mountain ranges that had even a similar title; then again, by now Legolas had deduced that it was extremely improbable for this strange human to have hailed from any place Legolas was familiar with. As for this English, he could chance a guess that it was a language of some sort coming from Killua's world, but as Legolas glanced up at a sign hanging over a nearby building, the English runes, if they could even be considered runes, were strangely shaped and unfamiliar to him. Having always been well-educated ever since he was an elfling, this feeling of unfamiliarity was foreign to him, but he supposed that he would have to learn to adapt.
He inwardly shook himself free of these thoughts and said, more clearly, "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Killua, of the house of Zoldyck." He gave a (albeit more reserved) slight bow of his own, bringing his right hand to his heart in the traditional elven salute. He then straightened and his mouth turned upwards in a wry grin. "What a pair the two of us must look," he quipped, "considering how we both have no idea of our whereabouts." He was then struck by a sudden inspiration, and before he knew it he was inquiring, "Perhaps the two of us may travel together? I had been planning on exploring this new area and must admit to wondering as to what has taken place, here." His expression turned solemn as he gave a dark glance at the piles of rubble surrounding them, as well as the rotting corpses sprawled haphazardly in every corner.
There should be no harm in travelling with him, Legolas thought. If danger lingers here, it would be good to watch each other's backs.
