((uhhh....okay.... ^^ I should say ask permission at this point, though, while I'm thinking about it- is it okay if Matt is bisexual?))
Matt leaped backward, his Auran-given sight flickering as he blocked the enemy's knife with his gauntlet arm. His blue eyes were narrowed, and he was starting to get drained to a dangerous level. Long fights were dangerous for Matt, not only because he ran out of energy quickly, but because every hit that he inflicted on an opponent could have a dangerous backlash. Everything was a gamble when fighting, but not a gamble he would have personally chosen to take. The enemy locked eyes with him, Matt could sense it more than actually "see" it, one of the weird things about Auran Guard filling in for his missing sight.
Knowing that he needed to end the fight quickly, or risk death, Matt gave no hint of movement until he suddenly shot forward with War Piece-enhanced speed, and wrenched the knife out of the enemy's hand by its blade, twirled it so that he was holding the hilt, and slashed at the gaps in the enemy's armor. His opponent jerked backward, but not fast enough to avoid the blow completely. Still, the blade had partly hit its mark, and the opponent cursed, then retreated back, not bothering to regain his knife. Matt didn't give chase, and instead chose to extend his Auran-sight and make sure there were no more hostile feelings that could signify enemies close enough to cause trouble. Once he had verified that, he cleaned the knife he'd taken from the enemy and wrapped in in a makeshift cloth sheathe. Only then did he notice that a little while away was a person in armor, with long red hair the color of fire. Matt sucked in his breath slowly, he'd missed the person while doing his scan. But hopefully, the lack of hostile feelings that he could see meant that the person was not out to kill him- at least not at the moment. That was good enough, though, and he began walking slowly toward the flame-haired person. He stumbled a few times, but eventually reached the person. "Hello." He managed, then collapsed back against a wall. He really was drained, more than he had thought.
