Andromeda Iscariot is a siren disguised as a lovely young girl. Sweet, patient, and tolerant, Andromeda is a very gentle soul. Very serious and well-mannered, Andromeda is polite and kind, a pleasant and mild siren. A sympathetic sort of person, she's much more sensitive and understanding than other sirens. Empathetic and emotional, Andromeda is selfless and tends to think of others before herself. She's very innocent and has a strong moral compass, often believing in the good of other people. Andromeda is very naive, handing out her compassion and trust very easily. This makes her easy to trick, although she is more independent than first impressions seem. She's an optimist, but also a realist at times, very observant and constantly watching. Cautious, thoughtful, and intelligent, Andromeda always stops to consider and hesitate before acting. Very careful when she speaks and moves, Andromeda has a certain gentle grace about her. Soft-spoken and rather submissive at times, Andromeda is obedient and quiet. Extremely shy and quiet, she is a guarded introvert. Sometimes curious and much braver than she thinks, Andromeda has a very young, impressionable mind compared to the more experienced sirens. She hates leading sailors to their death, although it's necessary. Andromeda never sleeps with the sailors, her only jobs to sing, weave, and lure men. This makes her one of the more humane sympathizers. Andromeda's bird form is similar to that of a phoenix, except much smaller and sleeker. Her feathers are such a pure white that they're iridescent in bright sunlight with a glowing pastel sheen. As a girl, Andromeda has very smooth, creamy skin, free of any blemishes. Her face is very open and sweet, having high cheekbones and full, dark pink lips. Andromeda's circular eyes are large and innocent, often very expressive. They tend to change colors depending on her clothing or the weather, a striking opal-like hazel fringed by long, curled lashes. Her eyebrows are long and neatly arched, shaped so that her expression always looks gentle and sweet. Andromeda's dark auburn locks are thick and shiny, falling to her elbows in gentle, curly waves. Her melodic accent, sweet disposition, and pretty face easily charm sailors. Andromeda gets along very well with Lucia, who serves as a sort of sister figure. The older siren is very protective, constantly looking after her. Andromeda has grown sort of dependent on Lucia, but not in a needy way. Andromeda can be on her own without her friend, but she finds it comforting to have someone to lean on. Andromeda adores and looks up to Azalea, the head of the huntresses, because of her intense leadership qualities.

      ────────────AZALEA────────────
group sirens rank lead huntress crush none yet location the beach tagged lorel, all
sometimes, when she stopped to think about it, azalea felt remorse for what she had done. lured lost sailors to hesperos, fed them and charmed them and lulled them into a sense of security, all for what what— to track them down and kill them in order to satisfy the elders? granted, the only part she actually played in all of this was the last; she rarely assumed her bird form, preferring to be the hunter rather than the hunted, and it wasn’t like it was part of her duty to do what had made sirens notorious for in the old tales. neither did she bother herself with the nightly festivities that ensued with the presence of the men; there was no point in it when they were only going to die a couple weeks later, or so she told herself, refusing to acknowledge the bashfulness she felt concerning the opposite sex. in fact, lea didn’t associate with them much at all except when they directly concerned her, which was when they’d overstayed their welcome and would be more useful dead than alive. more useful being food than eating food. any outsider would have viewed the routine with shock and disgust, but lea had grown up by this lifestyle and it was simply routine to her. some of the others from her generation had started to stray from the old tradition, claiming that it was inhumane to continue feeding their cannibalistic rulers in this way. but that was the thing: they weren’t human, not exactly, anyway. what ordinary person could change shape at will? besides, none of the normal sirens had enough contact with the mysterious and aloof elders to know the full extent of their ruthlessness. if any part of azalea had ever felt an ounce of sympathy for the sailors, it had been brutally forced into submission by the more pressing reminder of the consequences of such traitorous thoughts and the punishment that would be sure to follow. it was simply unacceptable to be anything more than a stony face to the others; as the leader of the huntresses who were tasked with feeding the rest of the sirens in addition to the elders, it was crucial for her to set a good example.
xoxoso when she received word that not one but two ships had washed ashore that day, it was with an expression that showed nothing more than a businesslike resignation to her duty that she found lorel in the main camp. “new victims to greet,” she said casually to her second-in-command before turning and loping toward the beach. she didn’t look back to see if lorel was following; she knew the other girl was devoted to their responsibilities, perhaps more so than lea was herself, though nobody seemed to suspect it but her. undoubtedly the other sirens would follow soon after once they caught on. a wide strip of sand came into view but a minute later, and with it a view of the ships — and the sailors — that had just landed. it was uncommon for so many to come to hesperos at once, but lea wasn’t complaining; the elders were a constant presence in the back of her mind. everything she thought and did was influenced by them. arranging a smile on her face, she approached them with feigned confidence that was only believable because she had done it so many times before. even so, the acute observer would have noticed the forced quality to her smile, the anticipation in her step, the pity in her eyes that suggested she knew something they didn’t. “I see you have found our island. welcome to hesperos, sailors,” she said in a voice that carried over the salty breeze to the ears of those farthest from her. “lay down your weapons and oars and come with us; we will take care of you.”

NEWPORT

the last thing will could remember was trying to peer through a thick fog, as he lead the queen elizabeth towards the legendary island, hesperos, and then everything went black. william had been promoted to captian not but a year ago, for taling over the ship in the time of distress. will had dreamed of becoming captian of the queen elizabeth since he was a young lad, due to his father being on the crew. william knows that he isn't highly liked among the majority of his crew, but yet that didn't keep this bull-headed sailor for doing his best to serve his ship. he could easily agree that he wasn't the best or easiest person to get along with, but when it comes to taking care of his crew and shipmates there is no doubt that he will put his stubborness to work and try to keep things under control. will's mind wandered to his mother, he had the same long and curly hair that will did, milky white skin and soft brown eyes, and a sweet personality to match her physical apperance. but after will's father's disapperance he had watched the beauty drain from his mother's face, and one stormy night chased after her, calling for her, but she didn't turn around, and let the stormy sea swallow her whole.
will woke up to a sharp pain pounding like a hammer in his head and white dots splattered in his vision. hitting his hand to his temple, he blinked the dots away from his vision. looking over himself, he noticed his shirt was torn in a few places, but no wounds that he could see. His sword was still undrawn, which left will with some confidence. "is everyone okay?" william called to his crew, after stumbling dizzily onto his feet. stumbling the entire way off of the queen elizabeth, once his feet made contact with the soft, unstable sand, he was no longer standing on his feet, and was sitting on his hind end. He sat there for many moments before he heard the soft words of a woman, telling them to drop there weapons and ors and follow them.

KALE

preston was going about his own business, breaking into the rum supply, creating his own hammock out of old fish nets and ropes and taking large gulps of the alcoholic beverage. as he lightly swung in the bottom of the boat, drinking rum that he knew he wasn't suppose to be. many times the young sailor asked himself why he had become a sailor and not a pirate, as he found pirates to be more adventuous and fun at heart, while he felt that the sailors of the queen elizabeth were dull and didn't have many of their own spontanious adventures, and just stuck to what they are told to do. preston had grown up on the poor side of England and usually stole for food, which also took away the majority of his childhood, leaving his thirst for adventure and fun to grow and expand. when the ship had crashed into the island, sending the bottle of rum spill all over preston's shirt, and flipped him off of the fish net and onto the hard wood floorboards. "what in the name of the queen is going on?! will i thought you said you knew where you were going!" the sailor hollered, as he still laid on the floor. feeling the back of his head, his blond hair was damp, with all he knew was rum. pulling himself to his feet he wandered up the stairs to the deck and found the ship wrecked on the shore of a beautiful island, shipwrecked next to what looked like a pirate ship. at first preston was confused on where they were and what happened, but he couldn't find the captian of the queen elizabeth, so the boy made his way off of the ship, seeing two beautiful women cooing them, calling to them to leave their weapons, ors and come with them. "where exactly will you be taking us? just curious and all, besides i'm just looking for adventure." preston asked, standing loosely in the sand, with his arms crossed over his chest.

↷↷ ANDROMEDAxx

AKA Andy, Birdy
SPECIES siren
POSITION sympathizer
FRIENDS Lucia
ENEMIES to be decided
CRUSHES to be decided

TAGS Adrien, Azalea
LOCATION the beach
MOOD mildly upset

╚══════════════╝
indentAndromeda was weaving a tunic-like dress when she heard about the sailors. Two ships, washed ashore on the beach. To most other sirens, this would have been fantastic news. A fun time would be had manipulating and tricking the sailors into the mouths of the hungry elders. At least, it would be fun for the huntresses. For Andromeda and the other sympathizers, it was bad news. More victims to attempt to rescue, more victims to attempt to save, more victims to watch die, despite all their struggles to prevent unnecessary death. It was brutal, the way that the sailors were just lured to their undoing, but Andromeda had been taught from her birth that it was a very necessary evil. She had swallowed it, accepted it, but lately, she had started to begin doubting the huntresses and the elders, even Azalea, who was basically her idol. Not even Azalea could escape Andromeda's disappointment at what she considered outright murder, but it wasn't as if anyone cared what Andromeda thought. She was a lower ranking siren, and a sympathizer at that, young and naive and quite inexperienced. She would rather befriend the sailors than kill them, and that had essentially put a target on her back when it came to the other huntresses.
indentStill, not even the threat of being cast out as a loner by the group of sirens could persuade Andromeda to not go onto the shore and convince the sailors to run. Then again, Andromeda didn't exactly talk. She more like watched the men from afar, too nervous and awkward to approach them on a social level. Andromeda had to build up confidence to talk to the men and try to help them escape, and that took a considerable amount of time to build up. Despite her introverted and timid personality, Andromeda found herself running to the site of the crash.
indentBarefoot, her dark hair tangled in loose, messy curls, and clothed in an earthy dress with a leather and seashell necklace, Andromeda was a bit plainer than the other sirens, especially the huntresses. Her face held a naive, innocent quality that was classically pretty, very trusting and obedient. Her large, circular eyes were constantly watching, this time observing the sailors stumbling onto the beach as Azalea greeted them with open arms. Even from here, Andromeda could hear Azalea's smooth voice blowing in the wind, welcoming the stranded sailors and suggesting they go with her. Andromeda found herself biting her lip, chewing down so hard she drew blood, tasting salty metal on her tongue.
indentThere's so many sailors, Andromeda thought to herself despairingly, her gaze flickering around wildly. And they're all going to die. Wiping the small trace of blood from her mouth with the back of her hand, Andromeda found herself staring at a very tall and lean sailor. He seemed to be nearly a foot taller than Andromeda, who was rather short in stature. He had dark hair, like that of a raven, untidy, but in an attractive way. She noticed his long fingers and light brown eyes, trying very hard not to meet his gaze or any of the other sailors.
indentTurning to Azalea in a desperate sort of manner, Andromeda resisted the urge to panic, instead asking quietly, "Should I... help guide them back to camp?" Andromeda was planning on taking a few sailors and trying to guide them far away from where the elders rested, but she worried that Azalea would guess her intentions. The lead huntress wasn't the leader for nothing, sharp and intelligent, but it couldn't hurt to try, could it? Andromeda lowered her gaze, staring at her feet rather than looking Azalea in the eye.

          EVIA KILGORE ✦__________________________
            age: twenty-two years old____role: huntress/siren____tagged: open____mood: neutral

indent Evia was not the type of person to greet new men ashore. She never had been since the beginning which was probably why she had stayed behind when Azalea took everyone to the beach with her to welcome the sailors and the pirates. Honestly, if the girl had to admit, she felt a bit uncomfortable around men which was something to say since Evia was a siren. A creature that lured men into her traps. Her mother had been and so had been her mother. Her entire female member families had been a siren and now it was her turn to carry on the tradition. Evia found it intriguing how her mother had killed her father right after she had given birth to her first daughter. All huntresses and sirens were supposed to kill them. All of them. Which was weird since the male population was just as important in the process. When Evia's mother told the tale of how she had killed her own husband and how she had felt pain in doing so since it was her duty. This was probably one of the reasons why Evia didn't want to get close to a guy. Her duty was just to end their lives after their purpose had been served to the sirens.

indent Evia watched from afar as many sailors and pirates made their way on shore, having confused looks and as Azalea told them that they were welcome. A look of sadness washed over her face before it dispersed, leaving only curious eyes and a neutral face on. She rarely showed emotion and when Kilgore did, it was rare to see. Only a few of the huntresses had seen her facial expressions changing which was bad enough. After watching for quite a while, her eye caught one man in particular who was sputtering something about wanting adventure. She raised her eyebrow from afar as she watched him and chuckled. Poor man, he had no idea what kind of trap he was walking into. Turning her head away and walking back to the village, Evia smiled. That particular boy had caught her attention and his face popped into her mind once more. She quickly shook the image away before entering a cave that she knew quite well. This place was where she always came after the men arrived and it gave her a sensation of calmness. Having second thoughts was not good for Evia since all she cared about was keeping her friends safe. That was all she needed in life which was good enough for her.
