Icarus glanced around at the landscape for a moment, looking slightly forlorn. After a few seconds, he bent down again, more carefully this time to avoid disturbing his injury as much, and began searching through his medical kit for some antibiotics. He had forgotten to take some earlier, and didn't want to risk his injury getting infected. Finding the container, Icarus tipped one of the tablets into his hand, and swiftly consumed it.

Rikimaru glanced up from their writing to look at Reinen. They dropped their gaze almost immediately, though, seeing as they couldn't look any longer. They had a theory, but they needed him awake to inquire about it. Though they almost wished he'd never wake up, because he was bound to be furious at them.

InfectedHau wrote:"We can do that in the morning," Wesley said, still looking out at the sky. "I don't wanna go over there in the dark, god only knows what starts walking around here at night." It was strange, she reflected, night had clearly fallen, and yet she didn't feel the least bit tired. Maybe this planet rotated faster than Earth. Or maybe she was just hyper jet-lagged. "Say, captain?" She asked, looking over at Theo, "what do you think the people back home are doing right now? Do you think they'll notice if we don't come back?

Minerva raised a quizzical eyebrow at Alec's change of attire. "Really?" She asked, looking him up and down. "You're really going there?" She knew they were exploring a cave, but still, wasn't that a bit cliche? Well, two could play at that game. Not only that, she could do him one better. Minerva had never tried putting on clothes before, she hadn't exactly seen the need, but now that she tried it she found that it wasn't all that hard. Her form shimmered, and short shorts, a tank top, and combat boots materialized over her digital blue skin. They were blue as well, of course, she couldn't do colors, but the resemblance to a certain retro video game character Wesley had shown her was clear. Especially given her...physical readjustments. If they were doing this, she was going all the way. "Alright then, junkyard, Minerva said, flashlight beams shining forth from the front of the Owl, "let's get exploring."

Some tiny part of his mind knew that he was dreaming, but it was very small and very far away. He floated in darkness. He could hear voices, and someone saying his name in conversation, but to his fevered, busted brain, it meant nothing. He remembered, when he was very small, having a fever like this one. His mother had picked him up in her arms, rocking him gently, singing an old lullaby. What did she look like again? he couldn't remember what she looked like any more. She was just a distant memory of silvery blonde hair and a laugh like summer rain. Memory was a strange thing. He had known her only briefly. Somewhere between memories, they became dreams. He saw her, Mother, standing beneath a tree. Her white dress rippling in a breeze he couldn't feel. She was still far off. He could hardly see her face, but he could see her waving. She gestured for him to come to her. He smiled and walked toward her through tall grass. It felt too slow, like wading through hip-deep water.
The tiny part that knew it wasn't real was very instant that he should go back. That tiny part knew that his heart rate was slowing and that his breathing was becoming shallower and slower and that moving forward would be never going back....

Theo frowned. Would they notice? Of course they would. This expedition for a new Earth was well funded and well publicized. There were probably media fire-storms blazing right now over the loss of transmission. Search parties would be deployed as soon as the distress signal was picked up. It could be a while before anyone actually showed up, though.
He shrugged "It's hard to say," he offered vaguely. "We should all get some rest for now. Icarus and Reinen are taking care of the wounded. Get some sleep if you can. We'll start salvage operations when there's day light."

Rikimaru continued to write in their profiles. Reinen: Sure to be furious upon remembering the details of the unfortunate event. Psychological profile points to a rather timid passive aggression as the most likely response, avoiding confrontation.
Looking up at the subject of their writings, they noticed he was sleeping quite fitfully. Frowning, they put a hand to his head. He wasn't breathing well. They stood up, folded their notebook into their pocket, and went to fetch Icarus.
However, being unable to find him, they returned somewhat more worried with a medical tool in their hand. They allowed it to expand and hovered the device over his head. It worked to show Rikimaru the extensive damage in his skull, and Rikimaru stashed it under the bed before trying frantically to think of how to keep his breathing regular. They pumped his chest with no idea what else to do. They would continue to do this until he woke up or help arrived.

"One small nap for man," Wesley said, leaning up against the side of the shelter and closing her eyes. They were the first humans to sleep on this planet in thirty years. "Nice night, isn't it?" The stars were different, but they still twinkled like the ones on earth. The grass still swayed in the breeze, the crickets... well, they weren't crickets, they were Ducklings, but they still chirped. It was almost like being back home. She'd slept outside then plenty of times, and she was fine doing so here. Besides, if creepy space monsters attacked her, the captain was there, as was the rest of the shelter. She'd gone through a lot in the past few hours- the loss of her ship, the loss of her crewmates, having to cope with the fact that she'd probably be stuck here for the rest of her life- but right here, in this moment... she almost felt content.

ALEC

Alec pulled ahead of his companion, plotting a straight path towards the entrance to the center of the earth. Minerva had gone a little further than him with her outfit, but he didn't complain. (He'd never actually watched that movie, or even saved any images of it to his memory, so it wasn't like he could mimic the explorer perfectly.) He would like to file this as solid proof that programs could have a sense of humor, though.
"So, these cave-tunnel thingies don't exactly connect to each other everywhere. Real life isn't convenient, didja know that? Personally I feel like we should go down the leftmost course first, the longest one... what's your two cents?" Alec's image turned to face her, although his cameras, still facing forward, wouldn't be able to capture her reaction.

Deciding that this wasn't working and that I cards wasn't coming, they tried thinking of what to do. But they didn't have any medical training- they didn't know what to do. They opened up the medicinal package they were equipped with and rummaged through it. Pulling out a small booklet and at the same time putting multiple pills under his head, they began to do as much as possible.
They didn't want to give him any medicine, they didn't know what to give him and didn't want to make it worse. They started by taking off the bandages on his head to lessen the pressure on his skull. The bandages were bloody and they discarded them out the door.

Icarus, sensing the sudden movement in the shelter, picked up his medical kit and headed inside. With such limited supplies, he didn't know how much he would be able to do for the young doctor.
"What's wrong with him?" Icarus questioned, coming to the side of the bed opposite to Rikimaru and opening his medical kit on the ground before him. As he awaited Rikimaru's reply, Icarus extracted his medical scanner, beginning to activate it near Reinen's head.

"I haven't the slightest idea." They admitted. They stepped back and picked up Monty to get out of the doctor's way.
