Cache/ Loner (6)/ Woods/ Tags: Serenity

Cache let out a surprised yelp when he suddenly felt canine teeth latch onto his scruff. He moved to shake the unwanted intruder off, but before he could even begin the movement the teeth unclamped from his scruff. Cache whipped around to see who it was, prepared to fight them, even if he smelt horrible. His tense body instantly relaxed when his blurred vision sought out the white blob before him.

The shocked tone and words of Serenity made him pause in his advance to better see her with his partial vision. His eyes still stung like heck from the acid spray, but he reined in his whimpering, not wanting to appear like a big baby; even though he deemed the situation an exception.

Trying not to look too sheepish, Cache opened his mouth to tell Serenity what happened.
“Um, I guess you could say I mistook a skunk for a black and white…squirrel.” Cache winced both at his pathetic excuse and the pain burning in his dark eyes.

Finding himself desperate to rid himself of any presence of skunk, Cache trotted over to a muddy embankment of a pathetic little ripple of water and plopped down in it. He then began to cover his large brown and orange body with mud, water, and leaves. He clawed at the dirt with his paws to uproot its hold on the ground. Within seconds his body was fully covered in mud, leaves, twigs, and who knew what else.

Standing up from his completed mud bath, Cache could honestly say he felt a tad bit better. The smell of skunk wasn’t as strong and his body no longer itched as bad as before. Not bothering to give his body a shake, Cache inched slightly closer to Serenity, with his head lowered in embarrassment. He was glad that she was the one to see him like this and not anyone else but he still felt extremely embarrassed for having been caught in this predicament to begin with.

Shuffling his paws on the ground with his head down, Cache looked up Serenity with a look of despair on his wolf face.

“I hate to admit this, but I have no idea how I am going to clean myself up. Both of my forms are going to smell like skunk. I obviously will have no trouble cleaning my human form but…I can’t possibly be able to clean myself while in wolf form. I refuse to clean myself with my tongue. I still am surprised that you put your mouth on my scruff. It must taste retched.”

An idea dawned on him, but it wasn’t one he was thrilled to announce to Serenity. She probably already thought low of him already, he didn’t need to keep adding to it. Seeing as there were no other options in sight, Cache held his breath and plunged forward.

“Serenity. Would you mind,” Cache cringed as he said the last part, “giving me a bath?”

Cache felt his body warm at having to ask her to help him yet again. He warmed under the mud and fur even more at the thought of her having to touch his wolf body. The wolf in him was very sensitive to others touching him. He couldn’t guarantee that his wolf would be on his best behavior, but he would try his best for both Serenity and his sake.

Lifting his dark eyes up slowly, he watched Serenity’s response to his uncomfortable question.

[OOC: Maybe Serenity could bathe him in the woods away from the prying eyes of the pack, with maybe a little help given by the chef? Do whatever you want. ;)]

( Elizabeth. ) ✶ ( 006. )

ELIZABETH
[ RANK ] Huntress (5) xx[ TAGGED ] Roisin

Elizabeth quickly glided down the stairs, falling in with Roisin's footfalls beside her. Entering the living room, she quickly casted an eye over the elegantly carved furniture, the rustic glow of the dainty possessions like china bowls and neat flower arrangements, and the warm atmosphere it gave out before turning the sleek silver doorknob. Her previous fatigue from the run through the woods earlier that afternoon was threatening to pull her under into a deep sleep even as she stood on the solid oak wood platform of the porch, but nearly instantly a gush of cold air hit her. She gasped, her eyes instantly flying open at the sudden chilly sensation that crept up her fair skin and tickled her raven hair, leaving goosebumps in its wake. The crisp evening air completely washed away all thoughts of settling into her snug bed and expelled the spell of exhaustion that hung over her. Now, all that occupied her mind was the thought of the coveted miles of land that lay in wait for her to discover. Feeling a powerful rush of adrenaline pump through her veins, she took in a deep breath and tilted her head back slightly to gaze at the darkening sky. The beauty of the wilderness was wild, almost intoxicating.

"This is what you meant by a run right?" The sentence alone dragged her forcefully out of her reverie. Jumping a little in alarm, Elizabeth whirled around to face her friend. But what was Roisin, or rather, used to be Roisin, was now a tall wolf with thick creaming white points highlighting her orange and tan undercoat. Piercing greyish blue eyes rose to meet hers and her pale pink tongue lolled out of her maw in an expression of playfulness. Elizabeth was stunned into silence for a split-second. Then, suppressing a giggle of amusement, she flashed Roisin a quick smile of recognition. Another flash of blinding light that momentarily engulfed her vision and enveloped her body. She fell down into the slender, svelte stature of her own wolf form, the weakening sunlight streaming down from the sky making her snow white fur seem to glow with a feverish light. Lean muscles rippling with liquid grace beneath that magnificent white pelt, Elizabeth tossed her curved head and barked gently. Her jade green orbs with blue flecks twinkling mildly. Glancing back at the enormous form of Evergreen Reservation behind her then back at the castles of wood in the near distance, she made a silent decision.

With movements as supple as a swan, Elizabeth coiled her hind legs and took off like a lightning bolt.

Her white paws hit the leaf-strewn ground softly, almost silently as she ran. The wind in her fur, the lush green foilage brushing against her pelt, she was lost in her own world. This was her home, her source of solace, her inner peace. She looked back briefly over her shoulder to see if Roisin was following. Was that a blur of white and tan bounding through the maze of trees not far away? Filling herself with renewed energy, Elizabeth pinned her ears further onto the base of her skull and pressed on, her surroundings a faint blur of green and red as they flashed past. Her tail streamed out behind her like a meandering river. Further! Faster! she heard the hushed voices of exhilaration surging through her brain. Slim limbs devoured the grass underfoot with each mighty leap and step. Her senses were all trained on the path before her, urging her when to leap, to pounce, to sprint forward like there was no end or tomorrow. After what seemed like an eternity, Elizabeth forced herself to come to a halt quite grudgingly. There was no one behind her. All darkness and trees and... Well, more trees. Where was Roisin?

"Are you there, Ro?" she called, her voice soft and melodious. Just like the rest of her. The very tip of her tail brushed the grass as anxiety mounted steadily inside her. Oh no.

Did she just lose her friend?

Serenity snickered. Then she chuffed. Then she giggled. Then the white fae burst out
into peals of laughter. Cache was defnitely not meant for the hunter lifestyle.
The poor male, squriming around at her feet, just made Serenity laugh harder
and harder. Shifting back to human after a brief burst of warm light, the teen
braced herself against a nearby tree with one hand, another pressed against
her chest as she fought to fight back the laughter still bubbling up inside.
After a moment she was able to catch her breath and face the still whimpering
wolf before her.
"Hmmm...I don't know....I guess I could...But then you'll owe me even mo-ore..."

Serenity grinned devilishly. She had been surprising herself all day, first with being pleasant to this male, then hunting with him, goofing around with him, and now about to give him a bath...she may as well continue before this oddness ended. Reaching out with a small hand, the dirty blonde mussed the fur on Cache's broad forehead, smearing mud and leaves and what not. It was funny to see her packmate like this...but it was also awful to see him in such a state of weakness. Wiping her hand on her jean shorts, Serenity looked back towards the house.
"Why don't you wait a little closer to the house. I'm gonna get Chef and see if she can help me out, ok? Ok." Without waiting for a response, the dirty blonde began trekking back to the clearing, picking over vines and around bramble bushes and wondering how none of this had been a problem to her as a wolf. Eventually reaching the house, Serenity dashed upstairs to her room to change first, and found more of Cache's scent there. Had he been hiding here earlier? Did he know that this was her[b] room? Making a mental note to inform the teen on this later, Serenity slipped on an old black twenty one pilots t-shirt and a clean-er pair of black shorts. It would not be wise to wear anything nice for this. After she had changed, Serenity made her way back down to the kitchen, where Chef was working on loading the last of the dishes into the dishwasher. In fact, she finished and started the machine the minute Serenity opened her mouth.
"Hey Marinette....I need a favor. The old woman looked up at Serenity's voice, one grey streaked eyebrow lifted.
"Of course. What is it dear? Did your bathing suit get tangled in the dryer again? Because if so i've told you to dry that thing by itself." Serenity coughed. That was an embarrassing topic she'd rather not discuss. Laundry was definitely not Serenity's strong suit.
"No, no. Nothing like that. See, Cache...have you met him yet? Well anyway Cache got himself sprayed, and he's being a baby about it, so now I have to give him a tomato juice bath in the forest. I was hoping you could help me?" Chef nodded and began bustling around the kitchen, pulling out jugs of tomato juice that Serenity hadn't even known they'd had, and a metal tub in from the backyard. Together the women filled the tub with juice and hulled it out to the forest.

Róisín's smiling maw shut ever so slightly as her companion gazed at her with an expression that could be described as nothing else but shock, indicating that, possibly, this was not what Elizabeth had meant. However, the giggle that rose from the other girl's chest pulled the playful expression back onto Róisín's face as her short tail wagged lightly. The light that erupted from Elizabeth caused Róisín to turn her head, looking out to the woods. The same light breeze that tugged at her pelt caused the trees and bushes to dance, swaying to some inaudible music. The dimming of the light beside her told her that she could turn her head back, and when her greyish eyes fell on the wolf who stood in front of her, her expression changed to one of clear surprise. The raven-haired girl had been replaced by a snow white wolf, her once dark eyes now a hypnotizing green. She stood as the white wolf coiled her muscles, launching herself out into the wilderness. With a light laugh, Róisín followed suit, her long legs covering the soft, leafy ground with ease. She opened her gait, large paws thudding with an even, four-beat rhythm, long legs covering meters with each stride. With a smug glint in her eyes, she realized that she was catching up to the white, specter-like wolf in front of her easily.
A thought crossed her mind then, the smug glint replaced by one of mischief. Slowing to a more collected, loping gait, she allowed Elizabeth to soar ahead, waiting for her companion to glance back before darting left. Bounding over a fallen tree, skillfully twisting to avoid the sharp, splintering branches, she picked up her long-strided gallop once again, head low, determination in her eyes now. Her large paws thumped softly against the short grass, the white wolf now nothing but a speck through the trees. Another fallen tree demanded her attention, this one too high to jump over, causing her to slow in order to wriggle underneath. With a rumbling noise of disgust, she struggled to get her hips out from under the semi-rotted wood, the long claws on her hind paws digging the moist clay under her. When she finally stood, she shook out her pelt, trying to dislodge the wood bits and moss that remained in her light fur. Raising her eyes, she noticed with disdain that the white speck was gone, and she cursed lightly under her breath, her companion now lost to her. With a soft sigh, she strode forward once again, ears and eyes alert for signs of Ellie. The female was fast, so she had to raise herself to her top speed to even have a hope to find her.
              "
Are you there, Ro?" The clear voice rang through the trees, far away yet but close enough to be heard. Róisín grinned, panting softly, crouching low and slowing her pace to a soft, silent trot, following the source of the sound. Soon, the white speck came into view, and grew until she could make out the clear form of the worried-looking fae who stood, eyes searching for her. She snuck silently around the female, practicing her hunting skills as best she could, giving her a wide berth so she wouldn't see her, or, if the wind was right, scent her. When she was in position, a mere few meters behind the white wolf, she let out a loud, low, rumbling roar-like growl, bounding forward, launching herself into the air, large paws poised to hit Ellie square in the chest if the other fae didn't move.
              Gotcha.

Her mention of wanderlust caused a little flame to burn under his amber eyes. He knew that feeling all too well. The need to explore, to travel far, far away. It was similar to the need to stretch your legs, except it was a need that could not be sated by mere exercise. "Romania? Wow." He said softly. The Eastern European country was one of the furthest within the continent from the small island just off the North Western coast of Europe, but he knew of it all the same. His father used to tell him that he had distant relations there, that he would take them to visit someday, but those notions, as well as his father, were long gone. As her question reached his ears, pulling him from his thoughts, he smiled softly. "I guess. The weather was always miserable, and, in our town, everyone knew everyone. You could never escape someone you knew." With a quick laugh ending that sentence, he shook out his pelt once again. "I suppose it was my friends that I missed most, rather than the actual place. It was really weird moving to the middle of nowhere, but nice at the same time. We lived in a big house near a woods, where a wolf could stretch his legs daily, without worrying about someone finding you." Bunching his muscles, he launched forward suddenly, covering the ground between him and the dens in one leap, then climbing up to the level where she sat with another one. Keeping a distance, he sat opposite her, his tail wrapping around his front paws as he sat, as straight as a statue, gaze softened slightly as he watched her. Now that he was within striking distance, perhaps staring intently was not the correct body language. "What about you? Do you miss Romania, or do you prefer your wandering?"

{ Mᴀᴛʀᴏɴᴀ Vᴇɢᴀ // }

▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅

Inky blue and black shadows seemed to swirl around the she-wolf as she bolted through the forest, accompanied by the icy evening winds that nipped at her sides and created puffs of steam with every breath. Crickets chirped, an owl called in the distance, her paws hit the ground in a rhythmic beat, and Matrona once more felt at peace. She had decided it was amazing, the contrast of mentalities between herself and her wolf. As a girl, she felt stiff, rigid, forced into a position of proper mannerisms and stoicism. As a wolf, even though she presented herself to others in a similar fashion, she felt freer; more in control. Like she might have a million things to think about, but they could all wait until she returned to her human skin. The affairs of humans didn’t bother a wolf, basically.

Many assortments of smells were striking her nostrils: the trees, the dirt, the creatures, and most prominently of all, the other wolves. The scent of other werewolves - foreign werewolves - seemed to follow her no matter how far she ran, constantly reminding her of the strangers she was to call “pack”. She wrinkled her nose at the smell, wishing it to fade so it’d be easier to ignore, but it never did. It was there, chasing her like a predator chases prey; relentless. Now that she was thinking about it, the smell seemed rather fresh, as if it wasn’t the trail of a wolf from an hour ago, but one that was here with her now. Her eyes narrowed, not in suspicion, but annoyance, assuming it to be a pack mate. Surely there must be somewhere among this forest I can find solitude… A huff of steam billowed from her muzzle. She did not slow her pace, as the scent was growing stronger, causing her to think she was moving towards it. Maybe she’d pass it, and the foreign smell would be but a memory behind her…

She kept running… The scent suddenly peaked, then quickly began to fade. Whoever the other wolf was, she had in fact passed them, so it was of no concern to her now. She just continued to run, gliding over the forest floor like the shadow she was, convinced she would find solace again soon enough, so long as she just kept running, got as far away from the others as possible...

    “Hey beautiful, wait up!”

The amused shout seemed to slice through the night air like a blade, sudden and alarming, causing the female to tense and give a slight lurch of shock. She’d known he was there, had known she wasn’t alone, yet had still been surprised to hear him speak. Perhaps she’d assumed he wouldn’t notice her, that she was moving too fast, or maybe he’d stopped existing the moment she’d passed him. Either way, she’d not been expecting to hear a voice, and was all too aware of him now. The initial shock passed, annoyance now prickling in its place, bringing a frown to her features. Of course, she hadn’t wanted to socialize tonight, hence the whole point of coming out here, but there was no escaping the male now, at least not without making a bad impression, and she didn’t intend to make this whole “new home” experience any more difficult that it had to be. That is to say, she assumed this was a pack mate calling to her, and wouldn’t notice otherwise until getting a better sniff of him. She started to slow down, glancing back with perked ears and dull blue eyes.

Having now come to a stop, she carefully turned around to face him, fixing the male with an unamused expression. “Do you address every newcomer in that fashion?” Her calm, monotonous voice drawled.

Lunch almost over so sorry it's short.

MARC

Marc crossed his arms over his chest fighting back his annoyance as the female just got closer to him standing in his way with her touchy tone. He waited until she was done speaking before lifting a hand and answering putting one finger up with each one. "A warm bed, and nice shower is in that direction, and two the military hasn't outted our species to the world resulting in mass hunting of werewolves. Other then that they have done nothing for our kind. Now if you don't mind me being on my way.." He trailed off looking over her shoulder before down at her his hand now going to scratch at the stubble on his jaw. He didn't know what possessed him to say it, but suddenly the words "or you can join me causing mischief in the cabin," slipped out. He blinked at himself before shrugging at her.

Cache/ Fighter (6)/ Woods/ Tags: Serenity

A heavy sigh came from Cache at Serenity’s response to his question. His body relaxed a little, but his irritation mounted when Serenity started laughing her head off. Cache growled, not liking to be the main topic of a hilarious joke.

“Har,har. Very funny. You wouldn’t be laughing if you were in my position.” Cache rolled his eyes then glared at Serenity, wanting her to stop her laughter at his expense.

Serenity’s loud laughter stopped with her transformation from wolf to human. Cache has tempted to charge at her, knock her over, then share his dirty, stinky self with her. Then he’d laugh in her face and see how she liked it. But, if he did that she probably would refuse to bathe him and he’d be stuck trying to fix the problem on his own. Not something he would be happy about.

His ears perked up when she said that he would owe her one. Great. I might as well sell my soul to this female. By the time she’s done helping me I’ll need her help again. Ugh.

“Yes, I owe you big time. Feel free to call it in whenever I’m not asleep.”

Cache’s eyes widened when Serenity touched his muzzle. It sent a little tingle down to his toes. She had a surprisingly gentle touch for a werewolf who didn’t appreciate getting bossed around. When her hand pulled away, he had to bite his touch from asking her to bring it back.

With a nod of agreement when it came to Serenity’s plan, Cache followed at a safe distance toward the pack house. He stopped about one-hundred feet before the woods opened into the front yard of the pack house. With a sigh, Cache sat down and waited for Serenity to return.

And before he knew it Serenity and the cook were before him with a tub of tomato juice. He sure hoped they brought some other stuff to help get himself clean. Don’t get him wrong, tomato juice was great for this sort of thing but soap and baking soda made it even better.

Wanting to get this unfortunate experience done with, Cache wasted no time in hopping into the large tub. He sat his stinky rump into the tomato paste and held his breathe for the next step. The step he was not looking forward to.

“Well what are you waiting for? Hop to it. The sooner we get this done, the sooner I can take a much needed bath in my human form. Oh, also some Dawn soap, baking soda, and vinegar would make this process go faster.” He looked pointedly at the chef, giving her a little hint.

“What exactly am I going to have to do to get back into your good graces?” Cache asked Serenity, trying to suppress a big sigh.

(OOC: Feel free to manhandle Cache if you need to. Haha! P.S. I'll post for Ferrell later today.)

Mobile Floof swwy.

ZANE

Zane slowed down as finally the female came to a stop much to his relief. He thought she would keep running, and he wasn't going to chase her for long. His grin became lopsided at her expression, because it was obviously not amused. Her words only confirmed it as he approached her more his form a bit broader then hers. Of course the shadows, and her black form made her look way more slim then she was. He tilted his head giving a thoughtful look before winking at her," only the females. I rather not lose my hide if I mistake a straight guy, and say that to him. I'm not a runner as you seem to be." He told her giving her form another look before gazing back into her blues. She was defiantly made for hunting. "So whats the rush? You okay?". He asked referring to her run in the forest before going still his eyes widening. " Crude, did I ruin your hunt! O man, I am so sorry. I didn't even think if you were chasing something down. Can I make it up to you? I suck at hunting, but I can try to catch you something." He apologized frowning now the smile having slipped away in his worry.

Serenity shrugged, and doused Cache with a bucket of tomato juice. As she worked
her slender fingers through the male's matted fur, she considered her options.
"At this point, I'm not really sure...When I think of something i'll let you know"
As the wolf mentioned a list of things that neither Chef nor Serenity had, the
dirty blonde tweaked one of his ears...less gently then she should have. The
boy should be happy that he was getting a bath at all. Chef picked up another
bucket of tomato juice and sloshed it over Cache without any warning. The
old woman took a lot of crap from the pack, but lack of respect was not one.
"Hush child, and let us work." Cache's mouth shut and the pair continued scrubbing

the wolf. At some point the garden hose made an appearance, and Serenity took great joy in playfully spritzing Cache randomly with cool jets of water. Occasionally the male would retaliate by shaking tomato juice, water, and eventually soap, all over the dirty blonde. Grinding her teeth at the latest attack, Serenity unscrewed the multi-option nozzle and let the water gush directly at Cache's face. And the grass. And the tub. And Chef. Squealing as she slipped on the drenched ground, Serenity pinwheeled her arms and searched for something to grab on.
"CHEF! OMIGOSH MARINETTE OMIGOSH HELP! HELP HELP HEEAAAAAAAH!"
With a splash Serenity landed in the metal tub, tomato juice and loose fur covering her from head to toe. Serenity came up spluttering for air, nose wrinkled in disgust.
"It smells like wet dog." Serenity declared, spitting strands of auburn fur and bits of her own drenched hair out of her mouth. Chef snorted and proceeded to spray both Serenity and Cache with the hose, causing cries of outrage to be wrenched from both.

Jaiden

Male/Tags; Sterling/Grumpy/Werewolf

Jaiden's pale fingers twisted the fork around, he couldn't decide if he was hungry or not. Jaiden raised the fork to his mouth, eyeing up his food before letting it slide off the fork and onto the plate. His eyes flickered up to the girl as she spoke, and he closed his eyes for a moment and snickered. An abundance of people had trust issues, Jaiden was arguably one of them, but for entirety different reasons. Jaiden's past wasn't as dark as others, he just didn't like people. Misanthropic, perhaps. He opened his piercing green eyes again, and looked down at his plate. "Everyone has trust issues these days, I guess I do too. But that's just because I don't like people. I've always stood out like a sore thumb. You learn to rely on yourself. The boy straightened his back with a slight crack and decided on eating, pushing the fork into his mouth. He looked around, then leaned back in his chair and crossed his one arm across his chest, his other arm occupied with picking at his food. He turned back to Sterling and smirked, then took another bite. So mysterious, Jaiden. And down. His entire body and movements gave off such a sense of misery, as if he was always unhappy. For the most part, he was. However Jaiden found happiness in many things. He loved poetry, and music, and climbing trees. But contradicting his depressing movements were his quirky jokes and expressions. Jaiden was infamous for sending mixed signals. He was a master at successfully displaying his dissatisfaction with life and other people, while expressing his sarcastic side. Confusing, Jaiden was.
