The co-leader of the vampires had his arms crossed as he stood near the window in the large house that housed the vampires. He wasn't right in front of the window, but he was still able to see everything that went on outside. He noticed a few squirrels running around with each other, most likely friends, or maybe even family. He began thinking about his family for a few moments, but it wasn't long until he diminished those thoughts from his mind. He had no desire to ever see his family again, especially since they wouldn't understand him anymore. He was a vampire now, and has been one since...well since a while. He started in the bottom and has climbed all the way up to co-leader, that may give you an idea of how long.

Xander was about to head back to his room when he felt a large mass fall onto him. He landed onto the ground with a thud, lightly hitting his head on the ground. He opened his eyes to see that Ashylana was the one who ran into him, and tripped over Shi. He grunted lightly to himself and stood up, brushing himself off a few times. He then looked over at Shi who was growling at Ahylana. He put up a stern hand signal and Shi stopped growling on command. Xander looked over at Ashylana with a straight face and said "Watch where you are going. The next person you run into may not be so forgiving." He decided to stay in the kitchen at that point, mostly because he would just be lonely in his room. He didn't particularly hate Ashylana, but she did tend to get on his nerves sometimes.

"Yes sir Xander sir!" She said jokingly, chuckling lightly as Xander walked away. When Xander had completely left, she sighed loudly and walked over to the fridge, grabbing the first thing I saw." Nobody really likes me do they apple?" Ashy asked the apple before sinking her teeth into it. It wasn't long before Ashy had finished the apple and, giving up on her idea of making friends with the people she wanted to make friends with, she went back to her room.

The co-leader of the vampires furrowed his brow at Ashylana, not very amused by her calling him sir. He wasn't the leader, he was the co-leader. Yes he had authority over her, but she didn't need to go around calling him sir, it made him feel old. He rolled his eyes lightly as he walked into the living room, making himself comfortable on the nearest couch. Shi laid down right beside the couch and rested his head on his paws, almost falling asleep. Xander of course would never fall asleep in such a vulnerable area, but at the same time he wished he could. However, he had too much responsibility and too many hunters were out there. He couldn't afford to let his guard down, not now not ever.

It was a strangely quiet day, not even the leader had stepped foot out of his room yet. That or he had already left the house and was doing his leader stuff. Xander felt is if he had things to do, but at the same time he didn't want to get up.

Libby stirred when her mother climbed into the bed. Until now she had slept on the edge of the bed, closest to the wall, wrapped tightly in the white sheet. Once, she had her tangerine hair pulled back in a tight braid; now, pieces of her hair fell everywhere. Libby rolled over to face her mother, looking around with tired eyes. Her mother seemed tired. Outside the protective shield the blanket formed was much too cold. She'd rather stay within the heated shell. Libby sighed, closing her eyes once more. she was not prepared for the day. Libby slept for only a minute more before she off of the bed. She brushed herself off and with a tired sigh she strolled over to her dresser. She pulled out a worn, faded pair of jeans and a simple, white t-shirt. She got dressed quickly before she pulled on her socks and her shiny red rain books. She turned to look at Kimberleigh. She didn't want to disturb her mother. She pulled their room door open before she ventured into the hall. Libby walked past Basil's room, seeing her had left the door open and was not inside. She crept passed Lucinda's room. Lucinda startled her sometimes. Once she had made it down the stairs she skipped past the dining room and out onto the porch. Libby stared out at the wood lot for a while, watching the sun rise.

It was another typical morning to Elnyn, however, one thing was different. It wasn't the morning sun shining through her blinds, it wasn't the chilling feeling of the cool air hitting her bare skin, and it wasn't the sounds she could hear ever so clearly of her pack-mates waking, or the birds stirring outside her window. The soreness that struck her to the bone was different. The way she woke up, and just the act of her moving her legs over the side of the bed and standing up, was painful. It wasn't a pain that would make her double over and cry out, but it was a pain that everywhere. A sigh escaped her lips as she reached into her bedside table, and pulled out a bottle of some sort of over-the-counter painkiller. She tipped a couple into her hand and swallowed them dry. Hopefully it'd take the edge off, but if not, she'd manage. She knew eventually, though, that she'd have to follow the same steps to get out and away from her pack to be alone when it god bad.
This isn't the first time it had happened, and it wouldn't be the last. It was getting harder to control her changes and to fight it back, angry or in a calm mood, and it was something she kept to herself. She didn't want to have people lose respect for her or think she couldn't handle the role she had as lead hunter. She had to be responsible and this made her the complete opposite.

Besides the pain she was in, she had to go for a morning jog. It normally helped loosen up her muscles. But with what she was wearing, a t-shirt and some boy-short underwear, she couldn't go out in public. So she quickly changed into a pair of grey sweatpants, and a long-sleeve forest green shirt. Of course, getting those things on was a pain, literally, but she had been in worse pain. You learn to live with it once you feel it multiple times, for a long period of time. After she was finished, she quickly brushed through her hair and through it up into a high ponytail.

El headed out her bedroom door, and could hear the talk between two of her pack-mates. Avoiding the sound of their voices, she continued down the hall and down the steps, and out the door. It was chilly, but she enjoyed the cold weather versus the hot weather. Hopefully the weather would remain around this temperature for a little while longer. She breathed in through her nose, taking in all the smells around her. A deer, some small mammals, the scent of the dewy grass. She loved being outdoors, and if she was honest, would rather live that way if acceptable. It was too dangerous, though, especially nowadays.

With a few steps, she started on a path she took often. It had minimal leaves spread across the path, so it wasn't as noisy as straight walking through the woods, and it was normally easy to see around her. Not that it was that great of a thing, however, since someone could see her just as easily, too. But she would be able to smell them, hopefully, before they got close enough. Her sense of smell was above all her others, and it helped when hunting. It was a great advantage she had, but it always had it's downsides when it came to strong scents.

After sleeping and wandering around her room,Ashy decided she would go for a walk.Sure,the sun gave her the worst rash ever but she could wear a hoodie and be reasonably alright..So,shrugging on a hoodie and some jeans,she sneaked out the house,past all the bedrooms(since she chose the room at the very end of the corridor),considered leaving a note saying where she went but then decided agains it and set out to the forest and walked.Just walked wherever her feet took her.Then after a while,she made it to a river.'Clean water,fresh air,no-one around...But someone could come..'She thought.Behind her something unnatural made the leaves move.In panic she turned around only to find no-one.Shrugging,she finally made her thought-she would swim for a bit then go back.So,not thinking,she jumped into the water as it splashed around her.She came back from underneath the water and wiped the water from her face before grinning."Perfect!"She squealed in joy as she went back under.She continued to splash around in glee.

Waking up the young girl stretched and yawned she was woken by the bright sunshine, she examined the area and stretched again and sighed I guess it's time to wake up She sighed in disappointment and started to stand up from her bed she started to think of anyone was even up so she slowly went outside her room thinking no-one was awake. She went to the bathroom first before even going somewhere but she only checked her hair, after that the girl slowly ran to the kitchen to get some water out the tap as she was very thirsty water, the best in the morning she said quietly and started to slowly drink the cup of water.

If someone were to tell me I would be a blood sucking monster when I was a young girl I would think they were crazy. Now it takes a lot for something to appear crazy to me. I've seen a lot in my lifetime so nothing really surprises me anymore.

There was eery silence as I sat up on my bed wide awake. I could never sleep very long anymore. Nightmares kept reoccurring night after night until sleep was no longer an option. Sometimes even while awake I would have nightmares come in flashes. I wonder if any one else has the same sleeping problems as I do. It's not something you really want to talk about to other people. You never want to admit that you are vulnerable. At least I don't.

My eyes wandered to an avidly snoring canine at the end of my bed. It was sort of ironic how much I dislike werewolves, but loved my canine companion. Sidka is his name and I've had the abandoned dog for about four years now. I 'adopted' Sidka after accidentally loosing control while feeding on Sidka's abusive owner. After that he became very protective over me. So I guess it was a win win for us. I'm not exactly sure what breed he is, but he definitely has husky in him. A muffled groan can from my twitching dog as he dreamed about whatever dogs dream about. With a drifting smile I stroked the course fur of my dog before getting up from my bed.

As Sidka remained asleep on my bed I ventured out of my room into the living room. I could hear Xander and Ash before actually seeing them. "Morning" I greeted with no emotion to my voice or facial expression. It was surprising how reserved and cut off I tried to be even to those who care for me. Before either of them could answer back I headed outside in need of the fresh air. Instantly the rush of pine scent hit my senses causing me to close my eyes and take in the moment. I wasn't one to wander through the forest, but today seemed like a beautiful day. So I headed into the forest knowing very well that it'd be very unlikely to meet up with anyone else. The forest is a peaceful place to be able to think and it may seem abnormal, but I was a vampire who enjoyed the forest. All the aromas and sounds enveloped around me, bringing me calamity. Taking another deep breath of the fresh air I noticed something different. It was a scent of a human, a male to be more specific. Curiosity got the best of me. Before I even knew it I headed in the direction towards the strong scent.

Hiding behind some brush and a few trees I caught sight of the stranger. I wasn't sure how well the guy's hearing was, but I made sure to be extra careful just in case he wasn't human. A flicker of silver flashed as sunlight hit the object. It appeared to be a knife. Maybe he was just a typical human hunter looking for rabbits or deer. I could actually have some fun with this. "You know it isn't wise to be in the woods alone" I emerged from my hiding spot with a smirk on my face. "What if a bear happened to attack you..you'd be all alone" I slowly made my way closer to the guy with a fearless attitude. As I got closer I realized her was fairly attractive and the knife had strange markings on it. Odd. However, the markings weren't odd enough for me to question it.

listening to the birds outside he sighed. awaiting for his pack members to awake from their slumber, with his mind running laps around the dream he had demetri stood confused, furrowing his eyebrows with worry the alpha widened his bluish green eyes at the sight of someone approaching the pack grounds. shaking his head the young man looked outside once more, seeing that was just an illusion demetri huffed to himself, no matter how hard he tried to escape the thought something new would come up to remind him. exhaling a deep breath the scent of pack member caught him off guard, turning around to see it was demetri sighed in relief when he realized it was thomas, a humble fighter of the pack who demetri had helped not so long ago with controlling his inner wolf. dipping his head respectful at his words the alpha smiled. "good morning to you too thomas, sleep well?" demetri greeted with a warming smile. when a small growl revealed from the male he sighed, the alpha himself knew that there wasn't much food to pick from, normally demetri would've chosen an apple or some kind of fruit but after his dream the alpha wasn't all that hungry. once another member entered the kitchen demetri smiled, this time it was one of his hunters, athena to be precise. "good morning athena, how are you?" the alpha asked politely. awaiting both of their replies the alpha continued to gaze out of the window, the morning was already giving the world a beautiful light among the land that he'd called home, all except the land of the witches and vampires.

waking up to the morning sun he huffed. carlisle wasn't exactly the morning person, mumbling to himself the fighter looked over at his clothes, walking towards them he grabbed a pair of faded jeans and a black shirt, putting his clothes on over his body the vampire sighed. retreating form his room carlisle walked down the hall, realizing that most of the vampires were already awake he rolled his eyes, of course they couldn't wake me up he thought to himself while entered the kitchen with a slight smirk. remembering the storage of blood they kept in the fridge he grinned, grabbing the latch the fighter pulled the fridge door open, seeing that there was only three packets left he narrowed his eyes, generally he would've taken one but carlisle's appetite was urging for something alive such as deer or some sort of animal. shrugging his shoulders the fighter soon heard another vampire within the house, realizing the presence of who it was carlisle smirked deviously, turning around carlisle ran hand through his hair momentarily. walking back up stairs he released a small sigh, seeing that it was the healer's apprentice india he dipped his head kindly at the girl, carlisle hadn't exactly spoken to her a lot nor did he know her well but considering he didn't have anything better to do he figured that he might as well get to know who was in the vampire colony. "good morning, india. how are you doing on this fine morning," carlisle asked kindly. examining her ebony hair with blue eyes that sparkled naturally, feeling a small smile tug at the corner of his lips, awaiting her response he fixed his tribal like necklace around his neck and raised a brow briefly.

The co-leader of the vampires had accidentally closed his eyes for a few moments, taking this quiet atmosphere as a reason to get some sleep. He was slightly exhausted from keeping his attention on the dangers of the outside world. He was more worried about the hunters and other creatures in the forest than the leader was. Of course that wasn't true, but sometimes it seemed like it to Xander. He was close to a deep slumber when he was woken up by a familiar voice greeting him and Ash this unusually bright morning. He sat up on the couch and was about to greet her as well, but she walked out of the house without letting him. He laid back down while letting out a long, over exaggerated sigh. His eyes turned towards Shi, seeing that the doberman was looking right back at him. Xander's arms moved behind his head before he looked back up at the ceiling in thought. "Why do girls have to be so complicated. Actually, why does everyone half to be so complicated. Complicated and isolated. It seems everyone is like that these days." Shi jumped up onto the couch and laid right smack on top of Xander, though the vampire didn't get mad. Instead he just pet his canine's head and looked out the window.

The light of day was still present of course. It seemed that the day was much longer than the night, even if that wasn't correct. Xander caught sight of Winter moving through the forest, but almost in an instant she was gone. He hoped she didn't get herself into trouble. There's nothing like having a friend, or at least a fellow vampire, getting hurt due to ignorant acts. He looked back at Shi and said "Time to get up bud." Shi jumped off of Xander just as soon as he started moving. The young vampire made his way to the door and opened it, but he didn't step outside. Instead he kept his feet glued to the floor as he leaned against the door. The different sounds rang through his head just as soon as he opened the door. The birds singing, the rushing water in the distance, the squirrels scurrying around on the fallen leaves. The world was simply beautiful on it own. However, someone would always find a way to screw it up.
