Friday Lupine:
"No we havn't. Sorry" When she heard this She felt her heart tighten in her chest and she just wanted to cry. She was so sick of this. She lowered her head and looked at the picture. Icarus nuzzled her to get her attention just in time for the other one to speak. If he hadn't she would have missed his words completely. Sniffling she said, "He's been gone for a whole year now." She sighed and prepared to tell them more, taking a deep breath. "We lived in the town of Mard, just off the forest of the lost. He was killed saving me and didn't regenerate where he normally would." She explained. All these stories certainly weren't helping. It would absolutely crush her if her brother was really gone. He was her best friend and all the family she had left.

tsukiyo + hikari 001

Postby starrine » Mon Sep 14, 2015 5:33 am

        ♕ tsukiyo
      male -- 18 yrs -- lvl 91 -- human -- swashbuckler -- location: ylisse
How long had it been since they'd been trapped here? A pair of aqua eyes shone through a kitsune mask, much like the ones children wore during festivals. He couldn't remember how long it'd been. Not like it really mattered, though. His goal was set elsewhere; while he didn't mind staying in the game, there was the chance that his body couldn't recover in the real world, and that.. scared him, only a bit. Tsukiyo's head tilted as he sat in thought, still trying to remember the exact day they'd gotten trapped. He knew the month, but.. The day was a bit hazy.

Thunk. A large, monster-like bird slammed down on the branch beside him. The dark-haired human slid out of the concealed tree quickly, not wanting to make contact with another monster so early in the morning. The bird squawked in disapproval, and took off again, looking for another target. Sigh. Well, then. Dusting himself off, he glanced around, sliding his obsidian dual blades out of their sheathes, holding one in each hand. He gripped the heavy weapons with ease, and examined them for a moment. No repairing needed today. He made a note to upgrade them soon, and slid them back into their sheathes at his hips. Loot hunting sounded like an okay time passer, but.. With narrowing eyes, Tsukiyo turned his blue gaze to the guild leaders, a concealed smirk hidden beneath his mask. There was something to do, indeed. Slipping into the shadow of a building and concealing himself with his tracker ability, he watched Virva and Espella with mock interest. Maybe he could see what they were up to.. for a bit longer. After all, with such a popular guild, getting the inside info was oh-so-necessary for the person who accepted all jobs.. of all kinds.

Waiting for a response from the silver haired boy Virva glanced quickly at her second in command, Espella it seemed was not quiet entirely invested in the conversation at hand someone or something had caught her eye. Following her line of sight Virva noticed a boy hands in his pockets and eyes on the ground, from what he was wearing she couldn't deduce any specific class so what was Espella's fascination with the young man? Returning her blue gaze to her friend Virva seemed to tell her friend to go investigate, an ability born from years of friendship.
"That would be because I have yet to give it. My name is Silver Shadows." replied Silver chuckling softly. As he bowed to her Virva couldn't help but smile a little, who bowed as a greeting anymore? While it was strange it was also strangely pleasant to be treated as a lady, not something Virva usually thought of herself. As he rose he also supplied the answer to her next question "I am the leader of The Order Of The Guardians. You probably haven't heard of us. We don't have very many members." That was it! Despite what he said of their guild being small Virva had indeed heard a few rumours about his guild up in Qroisas, though his guild was small it's work to protect the walled city from the wyvern had become legend overnight. About to tell him this Virva was stopped by the excitement in his eye, following his gaze Virva smiled at Cuán. "May i pet it?" Silver asked in his eyes the excitement of a child who'd just spotted a new toy.
Kneeling next to Cuán Virva smiled "Of course," she said glancing up at Silver, "his name's Cuán, I've had him for...I think it's been three years now." she added scratching behind the wolf-like creatures ear. Looking around them Virva could see the other guild leaders split off similarly talking about small side deals or other business that had nothing to do with the reasons for this meeting. It was three weeks before before the new goblin king was crowned so someone had to volunteer to go, the only problem being that only a few people (Virva and Espella included) that had ever taken the quest and as such there were very few who actually knew where the entrance to the dungeon was. If it was up to Virva she'd have volunteered without a second thought but she also had to think of her own guild and what would happen to them if she did indeed go off on this quest.

Kuro listened as the girl spoke. "He's been gone for a whole year now." The girl said and Kuro on the inside felt confused, but he kept his calm facial expression. The girl was obviously upset and was even sniffling. Which Kuro found weird. 'Yes she was looking for her brother, yes it was sad, but there's no reason to show your sadness out in public. Go somewhere private and do that.' Kuro thought to himself ever so slightly rolling his eye, but he looked at the girl again when she spoke. "We lived in the town of Mard, just off the forest of the lost. He was killed saving me and didn't regenerate where he normally would." The girl said and Kuro's curiosity spiked. He had heard rumors about a person not regenerating normally after they died. That's why he and Thorne had become even more carful. They were a higher lever, but you could never be too careful. Kuro turned his head to look at Thorne who seemed to be thinking the same thing because he too had a look of almost terror. Kuro could tell he was thinking of all the stories they had heard about something similar to what happened to this girl's brother. "So you haven't seen him since? It sounds like some of rumors we've heard about~ Ouch! Kuro!" Thorne had started talking, but Kuro reached his hand to a open (not covered by armor) and pinched the skin while also twisting it. Needless to say it caused Thorne pain. "We are sorry to hear about your situation. We are just here because we have nothing better to do. However if I hear anything while I'm here I will tell you. " Kuro spoke up trying to cover up his brother's bluntness. He did feel for the girl, but truly there wasn't much of anything they or anyone could do. All they could do was wait to see if he ever shows up.

Open, another character will need to approach her.

Once again, Ashirah regretted her choice to be a solo player. The gates outside of the city were full of guild masters and second in commands. Many of the guilds Ashirah recognized--The Valkryies, for example--as large guilds with hundreds of players. There was a crowd forming around the small plaza the guild leaders occupied. Ashirah really didn't want to cross paths with these people. The atmosphere of Yliss had changed ever since the Apocalypse. Solo players and smaller guilds didn't even dare to look members of large guilds in the eye. It was an unspoken rule that everyone knew and no one dared to break. People knew their place and knew it couldn't be changed; as if Yliss was back in the feudal days.

What was this? A meeting? A plan for the future? The guilds were in their ceremonial or everyday gear. No one was dressed for a real battle. This was a good sign, but Ashirah still didn't like it. This was a conference of powerful people who could severely impact her life without her knowledge or consent. And she, a solo player, had no guild to represent, no power to bring to the table. Maybe this was an open conference, where anyone could ask a question. She doubted that, since that could easily devolve into chaos, but this was taking place outdoors. No backroom deals here.

Ashirah wanted...no, needed to know what was happening. She bared her fangs and cursed her anxiety. She imagined walking up to one of these level 90 guild leaders and being struck down before the Royal Guard could punish them. It was a stupid worry--no way someone only ten levels higher could insta-kill her--but it filled her head, mocking her...she shut her eyes and flattened her ears, looking at the guild members and the crow of onlookers around her. She couldn't do it.

The ever increasing crowd of guild leaders and members in the square helped Espella narrow her focus back on Virva and the young man named Silver Shadows. However before she herself could become invested in the conversation, Virva caught her gaze and Espella knew what her friend wanted. The leader of their guild wanted her to go and speak with the adventurer who had distracted her a moment ago. Their silent communication was a talent born from years of fighting alongside each other and spending many days and nights together, talking about their ideas for a guild. "Please excuse me." She muttered, placing a hand on Virva's shoulder before she acknowledged the Qroisas guild leader with a curt nod. She slipped off through the crowd and moved in the direction of the young man from before. The way he was dressed didn't express a position of power, then again neither did Virva's mode of dress. However as she approached, the wolf fang noticed he was dressed as a kannagi. The healing classes were in high demand ever since the apocalypse and even more so since the rumours of disappearing adventurers have surfaced. Could the stories and falsehoods running rampant throughout this world be true? Can adventurers turn into the demi-human monsters found in dungeons and forests? The meeting that was being held right now was to designate a party to go and clear the Goblin King raid before the world gets overrun with more monsters than the adventurers can deal with.

The space between Espella and the strange adventurer was no more than several paces. With a warm smile on her face Espella closed the separation in three strides. Hi there. I saw you standing over here and thought it was strange for you not to be talking to anyone." Now that they were close enough Espella could see the status bar of the kannagi. He was level thirty-two which meant he couldn't be a guild leader from any of the large cities. "Which guild are you here with?" Her question was polite, but also offered Espella the chance to learn if he looked so out of place simply because he didn't know a guild meeting would happen today. If this player wasn't associated with a guild, he might also be looking for one to join. If that were the case, Eseplla knew of many guilds in need of healing class adventurers who would snap this one up in a second.

        ♕ tsukiyo
      male -- 18 yrs -- lvl 91 -- human -- swashbuckler -- location: ylisse
Tsukiyo's interest faded quickly as he watched the guild leaders of the valkyries walk around casually. No juicy gossip here. The inaudible, tiniest breath of disappointment escaped his mouth as he arranged the kitsune mask on his face. The mask never came off; that was a permanent rule for himself. No one had ever managed to get it off, either. Not that he'd ever dueled others much. The mysterious, tall boy clad in strangely dark clothing approached Espella with a hastening stride, only to pause midstep. His tracker ability still covered his presence as he stood near her, attention flickering from the dragon slayer, back to Virva, the guild's leader. The two were quite popular, he didn't suppose he would get any good information out of them, anyways.

Tsukiyo brushed past Espella now, tracker ability slipping off of him as he stepped into direct sunlight. Without a pause in his step, the masked man remained silent, the only sound coming from his feet quietly tapping the ground; with his hidden skill gone, he didn't bother covering the sound of his feet. With gloved hands in his pockets, he finally paused, standing next to a short-looking werecat, Ashirah. The darkly-clad human examined the rare specimen for a moment, aqua orbs shining through his kitsune mask. They narrowed, turned to look at Virva, and then once more returned to the werecat. Without saying another word, he continued walking, his smirk returning once more as he walked, hidden underneath the mask that fit oh-so-well on his smug face. It wasn't often that werecat was chosen as a class; much less often did they make it to such a high level. This one was an interesting one, indeed. Maybe he'd stick around for a bit longer and watch; just in case something interesting did happen.

Kyo was stunned that the Wolf Fang had approached him, and he looked up at her, stopped slouching, and brought his hands to his sides, a now curious look in his eyes. He recognized her as the Valkyrie Guild's second in command, although he said nothing and listened to her greeting. "Strange, you say? Ah." he said, tone light. "No, no guild, I'm afraid, ma'am. What might you need?" The intelligent young man had guessed she was here for recruitment. Why else would the second in command of the Valkyrie Guild decided to talk to him, of all people? He was a healing class after all, something her guild might be in need of. He tugged at the side of his deep green robe, patiently awaiting Espella's answer. Just then, he caught sight of another guy, and from his attire, Kyo guessed he was an assassin that had just been using his tracker ability. What reason had he to show himself now? The kannagi stayed alert.

'Shame on you, Taro!' he scolded himself but didn't take it to heart. 'Its been days since the apocalypse and yet you haven't found a single friend!' the young man continued smiling. "Much less a guild." he finished out loud, voice tender. He really wanted to get out and explore with some hearty people, to him the battles were great fun. His thick and heavy armor clanked as he walked along, ever reminding him of his role as a guardian.

Liin was out 'n' about just outside of Vraadon, cold eyes scanning their surroundings. Their hand was clutching a long dagger tightly as they crept through the overgrown outskirts. Liin was merely looking for some low-level monsters to practice on, not having any real plans for the day. They hadn't really done anything truly productive since the Apocalypse until today, so Liin was merely trying out some things. Although the Assassin had mostly stayed in the city, they hadn't come upon any adventurers that they thought were worth teaming up with. A guild seemed too large at the moment, maybe one or two players about Liin's level or higher and they'd be satisfied. The adventurer continued the silent trek, not making a single noise.

Espella had a feeling of a presence in her proximity, but there was no one she could see that matched what she was feeling. In an instance, however, the strange feeling had passed and the kannagi was speaking with her. "Strange, you say? Ah." It was strange for someone within the healing class not to be associated with a guild. Especially seeing as almost everyone in attendance was of considerable rank and level. Most guilds disregard healers' levels and stats on the principle that they can get stronger and heal those in need at the same time. "No, no guild, I'm afraid, ma'am. What might you need?" No there was nothing she needed per se, but Espella felt that this player should at least get to talk to someone with all these important people around, too busy to even acknowledge him. A lonely feeling Espella could relate with on an intimate level. Back when this world was still a game Espella could just log on every day when she got home from school, when the sub class Dragon Slayer was a shiny new title, Espella had decided she would change her sub class. However, her friends around her at that time all laughed at the idea and shunned her because of her one (albeit ambitious) goal. After her expulsion from the social circle Espella had known since she was level one, she had to play as a free-lance adventurer for just under a year before Virva extended an invitation to start a guild with her. Had it not been for her chance encounter with Virva on a dragon raid, Espella would never have found the courage and confidence to pursue her goal of becoming a dragon slayer. "I just know how weird it can feel when there's a lot of people and you have no one to talk to." In truth Espella had wanted to speak with him since she had noticed him the moment she and Virva had arrived and had been speaking with Silver Shadow."That and you kind of looked out place." She added with a sheepish smile that rolled across her face like a wave, it was there for a moment and then seemed to almost fall off her face.

Kyo stared strangely at her when she spoke, eyes narrowed and brows drawn closer. Her answer wasn't at all what he had anticipated, at which he gave a small frown, however his expression soon became straight again. People had their own reasons for their actions, so he wouldn't press the matter if she simply spoke to him because she wanted to reach out to a lonely looking individual. "Ah. I often do." Kyo told her calmly, aware that he seemed out of place in many situations to many people. Always had he felt a little odd around large groups, and always it seemed he could walk away from a group conversation without being noticed for several minutes. You could say Kyo had a lack of presence, but he also was the type to listen more than he spoke.
