      EVANGELINE
      ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
      [ queen's lady ][ twenty two ][ no crush ][ tagged; marcel ]
Being alone was nice, knowing people would be trying to converse with her whenever they could. Her hands still picking at the leaf, Monty came up to the girl with a stick. Of course, the girl couldn't say no to her dear pup, well, dog. Picking up the stick the dog had dropped in front of her, she gave it a hard throw. Not a normal petty one, but a strong, distant throw, casting it far, far away from them. Monty took off running and she laughed slightly. Hands swinging at her sides ever so delicately, her hand reached up and ran her fingers through her soft, wavy hair. The border collie returned the stick, Evangeline giving it another good, hard throw across the area. As it landed on the ground a ways away, she began to think about everything that would go on tonight. Getting to know everyone wasn't her favorite thing to do, but it was necessary in this case. Her role as a Queen's Lady was to make sure thing went to plan for the Queen, and her dear friend River. Even if Angie did not get along well with Renee, they needed to do this together.

Monty came trotting down the pathway towards Evangeline, carrying the stick proudly. Stopping under a tree, her arm drew back again and tossed the stick, just as she heard movement in the tree. Did it scare her? No. She's been in terrifying situations, and people have scared her as practical jokes with much more shocking scenarios. A prince in a tree was not one of them. Crossing her arms, she looked up. Marcel. Backing up slightly as he came down, she raised an eyebrow at his cocky words. Of course he could get away with it, he was a prince. If Evangeline was herself, she'd get in so much trouble. Her words were quick and cunning, but the mask over that was to be a conservative, proper girl who loved pretty things and doilies. Looking at him with a slightly unimpressed look, a smug grin appeared on her face. Evangeline would have to keep herself calm and collected as possible. 'Don't say anything you'll regret, Evan.' The blonde girl told herself before deciding to speak up as Marcel finished.

"Trust me, the last person you'll be spooking is me, don't worry," her accent rolling out of her mouth. He was a very proud prince, there was no doubt about it. Him mention the castle made her chuckle with annoyance. Of course she wasn't. Being outside was much better than being in a cooped up, well, large castle with a bunch of people who you didn't know. "If I told you I was enjoying the palace, I would be lying," uncrossing her arms, she put one on her popped hip, the other hanging freely. "I think you and I have two different ideas of 'fun'," even the 'funner' parts of the castle weren't amusing to her. It was inside and that's where the scandals were. A soft chuckle escaped her lips as he mentioned him being the best guide, of course her right hand quickly covered up her lips. Moving it down, she spoke in a sassy tone. "Truly, I appreciate your offer, but I think I'm alright for now. I will be seeing enough of this castle soon enough. You can walk me through the gardens until the feast starts, though," feeling kind of like a jerk for her laughing at him, she was hoping to make it up to him by walking with him until the feast starts rather soon.

    KING ELI II
    xxx❛ THE KING OF FRANCE
    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

xxwhere: the castle xxxxwith: river & the rest of the courtxxxxfeeling: anxious
xx Eli walked down the hall with river still interlocked in with his arm. He felt a peace walking with her, he saw everyone walking behind him into the castle. Then he looked at her, once he heard her comment. He smiled and replied," I'm still the same my lady, the same ol eli , only with a ridiculous title." He never wanted to be king, but his father always had trust in him and thought he would be perfect to rule France. He tried to convince his father many times to make marcel or astor the king, but his father didn't buy it. He looked back at her blue eyes and said," but, it does seem my old best friend, grew into a beautiful young lady." He smiled at her once more as they strolled inside; the castle looked marvelous at the moment.
xx He had spent quite a while making everything to his liking as well as hers. He ordered them to put her favorite flowers in the vases in the hallways, and the decorations were mainly a combination of florin and eli's ideas. He looked at her and whispered to her that he wanted to show her something. They strolled into the sitting area and looked to the fireplace area. Right above it was a painting of them when they were little, with all of his brother's and her sisters. The room was full with art, most of them were of their parents and some of them were of scenery and some of themselves. He looked into her eyes and said," Why my dear, i have settled for us to be painted by the royal painter tomorrow at noon." He was pretty unthrilled because he didn't want to replace his parent's picture but they are going to move their portrait further down the wall with the others and replace it with theirs. He had always loved the portrait and now that his mother passed, he felt a little upset about it leaving its spot. It had been there since before he was born, but a part of him made he still feel happy because he and his best friend and now wife to be will be on that wall. The new king and queen of france and Scotland. He looked at her and then at the guards who were standing at the door. Then informed him that the feast is almost done and then he looked at river. " I will let you freshen up, i will meet you at the feast my lady," he said leading her out the hallway. He walked her to her room; one of the biggest rooms after his.
xx Once she was inside, he nodded at the guards who stood at her doorway, making sure they would stay at their post. Only for the fact that before the ladies arrived, they were all pretty disorganized and Eli didn't really want the guards following him in his every move, and he they wouldn't. Nobody did actually; the guards would pretty much guard the castle and that was it, their job was fairly easy, and everyone had liberty and freedom to do anything. Young ladies would arrive and they would throw royal balls. But now it would all change, the castle has ladies who can't defend themselves, they are going to need the protection. Eli arrived to his room with the guards right behind him; he walked inside closing the door behind him. The guards waited outside, and he walked to his bed. He threw off his clothes and his boots; and grabbing the new clothes that were laid down for him; for the feast. Eli had just remembered he had saw florin with one of river's ladies, he spread a smile on his face. He knew florin would never change, but Eli had to. He looked around his room and frowned, he wouldn't be as happy as before; now he will be taking action and will have to marry river. Of course he had some feelings for her but it was hard to love her, as she is his best friend, and they grew up together.
xx He was an emotional mess, he didn't know what he felt, but he left his mental state and started to put on some new clothes. This time, he was dressed in all black; he didn't really find it necessary to change for everything, but for being king he had to. When his father was king, he would change for everything and would make Eli change as well, he said that's what you do when your king. You have the luxury and the power to do so; so he would end up changing at least three times a day, everyday. He sat down on his bed and placed his boots on. Once he finished put on his outfit, he placed on jewelry, but less this time; after all he was going to eat. He walked to his mirror and looked at himself for a second and fixed anything that was not right. Then he fixed his hair and walked out the door and the guards following behind. He turned around and faced both of them, then he sighed. " Guards, you guys can have a break, i will let you know when to come back," he said laughing. They looked at him with a confused then happy look ; they said," thank you your majesty, if you need anything please let us know." Of course Eli was more than delighted that once again he could walk around without them at his tail. He started to walk the other direction and to a big window at the end of the hall where he could see the gardens. He looked down and saw one of river's ladies, the girl named evangeline, with her dog monty and his brother marcel. He didn't know why but he felt jealous and he didn't know why. He found her attractive just like all the other ladies, but he felt an attraction to her he didn't feel with the others. Of course, he knew marcel would try to win her, and knowing marcel he probably will. Eli sighed and remembered he was going to be married in a few weeks.
xx He looked at her one more time admiring her beauty and then walked from the window and down the hall. As he did, he saw Florin and renee walking together once again and smiled at them. He didn't want to interrupt so he acted like he was in a rush and quickly paced down the hall into one of the sitting areas. He sat down and looked around the room, he knew that the feast would start soon, but he didn't feel like going. Since this time he would have to eat properly, he didn't want to look like a snob, but the men were use to eating like men and now they would need all their manners back. He arosed from the chair as he heard the guards step inside the room and tell them the feast would commence in a few minutes. The other guards had went to announced everyone already and now they were waiting on Eli. Eli paced to the guards and walked in front of them as they walking into the dining area. The guards announced him and he made his entrance sitting on the end of the table looking at everyone else who were already seated.

xxxIt had been a long time waiting and preparing for the arrival of the ladies, but Florin felt it was all well worthwhile, his eyes admiring those in which were around him, most commonly varying between River and Renee. At times he also found his gaze trailing to Marcel, an ever so slight frown evident on his handsome face as he watched the unlikable young man bother the ladies. It was unfortunate that he didn’t realize his attempts were put on too heavily. It tended to cause for Florin to wince in discomfort, feeling sorry that the young women had to deal with such an overly cocky mess. He inwardly hoped that he wasn’t seen in such a manner, and appeared more maturely stable than the opposing young prince. The thought caused for Florin’s frown to only deepen, shaking his head as he ran a hand through his hair to ensure it was in place, his eyes looking down towards his arm, eying the revealed tattoos, hoping they might not be any means intimidating towards any of the ladies. Then again, most everything about him tended to be seen in an intimidating manner, his past included. He wasn’t anything that a lord should be, this was true, yet, he was capable of acting in such a manner.
xxxFlorin was pleased by Renee’s pleasant and easy going mannerisms, showing a delighted smile as her polite response met his ears, dipping his head in an ever so courteous manner, taking her hand in his as he placed his lips lightly against her soft skin, their gazes meeting. Upon entering the castle, he raised a brow as she spoke, stating that she would take his offer of guiding her around the grounds and castle, a delighted light entering his gaze as he nodded his head, assuring that it would be a splendid time. He was relieved to have a manner in which to easily spend time with the young lady, and better get to know her. Florin was able to decently recall whom she was, although there wasn’t much in which he could directly remember about her. Florin shook his head, releasing an ever so light sigh as he heard her question. “No, no. But the time in which I have has been wonderful,” he responded with a genuine smile displayed on his handsome, strong features. “Indeed it is,” he agreed, looking around the interior for a moment, though of course, he had a favorite area in which he tended to go and spend a great deal of time when the weather was not pleasant.
xxxAlthough unfortunate, it is a well-known fact that Florin hasn’t always had the pleasure to be a part of the royal scene. He and Eli met at the young ages of around six years of age, the time in which Florin’s life began to change for the better, and Eli’s life became tainted. Florin had been in the care of an orphanage, and met Eli one day when the young prince came to see the other walks of life. The two had formed an instant connection, although Eli’s guardians were not all too pleased about the young man in which took such a liking towards the dear prince. Of course, they couldn’t prohibit Eli from seeing his newly appointed, closest friend, and the two became inseparable ever since. They never had moments in which they worried about if Florin may leave to a foster family, being as the trouble making, devilish young boy had been quite unwanted, many stories told of his various schemes and trouble he had caused. Alas, upon reaching the age of seventeen, Florin was able to leave the orphanage, finding sanctuary at the castle alongside Eli. It took some time getting used to, but with each passing day, the more he began to adore the kind, elegant people, as well as his closest friend.
xxxAs the two made their way through the nearest halls of the castle, Florin showed her various rooms in which she could enter during her stay, and of course, noting the ones in which she would most likely wish to avoid. He highlighted some of his favorite areas, in which included the stables, the archery range, as well as several of the secret passages, assuring he would save them for another time in which to take her and let her experience firsthand. As their time neared to an end, he showed her to her room, feeling no need to change himself, and awaited for her patiently outside of her door as she prepared herself for the feast. He didn’t mind the wait by any means, making small talk with one of the guards in the hall as he leaned against the stone wall, on occasion unrolling the cuffs of his sleeves to adjust them to a more comfortable position. Florin was curious as to what he would find at the feast, having asked Eli previously, but the young man had refused and tell, stating that it would be a surprise for them all. Eli of all people knew Florin’s strong dislike towards surprises.
xxxIt wasn’t long before Renee emerged from her room, Florin straightening his posture, dipping his head as he took in the sight of her once more. “Ready for the feast?” he questioned with a small smile as he gestured for her to begin making her way towards the grand hall in which they would be eating, walking at her side, various thoughts running through his mind, nearly flustering the young man, though he managed to keep himself calm. As they neared the area, he waited for Renee to enter before following her inside, walking along the left side of the large table and pulling out a chair for her to take her place in. Alas, he would not be sitting at her side during this meal, instead his place was next to River, and near Eli. Evangeline was on his left, while River was to his right. He sighed, curious as to what the other lady’s demeanor might consist of. All the while hoping Renee would have a pleasant meal, and possibly seek his company at a later time so that he may ask of what she thought of the meal. Of course, the thought of being in her presence again sounded grand as well.
xxxAfter taking his seat, Florin dipped his head in acknowledgement to Eli, making small talk with his closest friend for a short time, though it faltered to an end as more members of the court began to make their way into the hall. Florin greeted most everyone with a pleasant smile, though of course there was the occasional person in which he either failed to catch sight of, or didn’t wish to acknowledge. One spectacular quality of Florins, is that the young man is not fake by any means. At times yes, this may be unfortunate for the one not receiving a kind greeting, but it showed how truthful he was towards his inner feelings and beliefs. Florin tended to feel slightly uneasy when around large amounts of others for a meal, being as throughout his time spent with Eli and the other men, he tended to break, and forget the strict habits in which had been taught to him upon first arriving at the castle those years ago. Clearing his throat ever so slightly, his attention was captured as River strode into the room, her beauty astounding. He moved his seat in ever so slightly closer to the table as he watched her take a seat beside him out of the corner of his eye, uncertain as to what he could possibly say to her.
xxxRather than attempting the sad start of a short conversation, he sat still, eyes wondering over the others, attempting to not allow himself to get so flustered over River’s closeness to himself. Before the meal had even begun, he found himself in a bizarre state, trying to ease himself, yet the thoughts racing through his mind didn’t allow for such a thing. In a matter of seconds, he pushed his seat out, standing from where he had previously sat. “If you would excuse me,” he murmured quietly to Eli, the look in his eyes clearly speaking for themselves as Florin moved away from the table, pushing in his chair, giving a curt bow to those seated, about to feast. He turned, heading towards the hall, though as he was about to exit, a young man entered, carrying a tray of ice water. Attempting to stop, Florin was too late, the tray clattering to the ground as glass shattered, covering the two in frigid water. “My apologies,” he murmured as he quickly knelt down, helping to collect the mess in which he had created. He shook his head as the young man began hurriedly apologizing, casting him an assuring gaze, though an ever so slight blaze of intense anger could be seen. “Please,” was all Florin stated in response before standing to his full height, walking around the water as he made his way towards his room. No longer able to be in the view of others as his old habits got the best of him.
xxxReaching his room, he bust open the door, not even bothering to close it behind him as he stripped out of his cold, wet clothing, changing into something more comfortable, eying his nearly bloodshot eyes in the reflection of himself that shown in his full-size mirror. Florin sighed, shaking his head to himself, wondering why he couldn’t get over the moments of unexplainable anger and pain. It was from traumatizing moments in his past, that he very well knew he no longer needed to worry of, though there was a panic in which would be triggered, and all he could do was distance himself from others. Deciding it best not to return to the feast, he accepted he would not be eating that night, and made his way out of the grand castle, towards the ever so lovely stables. Upon entering, a small smile appeared on his handsome face as he noticed Cornell peer over the door to his stall, snorting softly as he caught side of his beloved human. “I managed to mess up again lad,” Florin murmured in a sad tone as he released Cornell from his stall, the two walking side by side outside, Cornell grazing as Florin stood, grooming the stallion’s bright, dapple grey coat.

davy panted as he ran inside the castle, blinking his blue eyes and running his fingers through his hair. he tripped, going up the steps and nicked the side of his cheek, and cursed under his breath. scrambling back up to his feet he ran inside, opening the doors and closing them behind him. running up the stairs, the young adult skidded to a halt. i can't go in looking all raggedy... eli is gonna have my neck for being late! he growled to himself and hurried over to his chambers, a good 3 minutes from the feast. opening his door, he slammed it accidentally behind him and cringed, opening his eyes slowly and lowering his tense shoulders. running over to his closet, davy rushed through the clothes, picking out something appropriate. he threw his clothes all over his room and ran over to the mirror, just about to leave and then taking a few paces backwards towards his brush. grabbing it, he ran the comb through his hair quickly and then shook his head, nodding to himself and quickly opened and closed his door, then jogged over towards the feast.

"hey there!" davy said, panting slightly, his chest rising up and down. "i am so sorry i am late. ran into some... uh... never mind.." he said hesitantly, smiling nervously and taking a seat. he didn't want to reach for any food, feeling a bit self-cautious about himself. he had never been this nervous before. probably because all of the ladies were grown up. davy had never really been with women his age since they were little. even all the guests. they were either ten years older than him, or way younger than him.

PRINCE MARCEL

Postby harley.quinn » Mon Aug 31, 2015 11:58 am

──────────────────────────────────────────
PRINCE MARCEL
──────────────────────────────────────────
The Prince of France | Single | Twenty-three | Tagged; Evangeline

His eyes flicked down toward the ground as her dog came up to her, proudly carrying a stick in it's mouth. He gave a small laugh at the sight. He'd always been a fan of dogs, not as much cats, though. Not that he despised them, though, he just wasn't a huge fan of them. "What's your dog's name?" He asked, glancing over at her for a moment, after he'd climbed down from the tree. Marcel noticed the girl seemed to be thinking a bit, as if holding back herself from saying something, however, he didn't bother to comment on it. He much preferred women to know their place and be in it. He tilted his head to side ever so slightly as she gave him a rather smug grin, looking unimpressed with him. Impressing her was not his goal; he'd simply climbed a tree before speaking to one of the queen's ladies. He then gave her a rather friendly smile before speaking, "Very well, my intentions were not to scare you." He said, giving a short chuckle. He noticed her Scottish accent very clearly, it was the same as all the other ladies that had just arrived today had. He heard her chuckle with annoyance at him and tried not to get angry at her for it.

"I can tell you aren't the type of woman to enjoy being cooped up inside." He said, before chuckling. "A sword fighter, maybe?" Marcel asked, giving her a small, rather charming, smile. He listened to her comment about fun before responding. "You'd be surprised.." He said, giving a small shrug. "For a prince, I'd say I do, indeed, like to have your typical kind of fun." He spoke, his eyes turning a bit devious, though, only for a second. "Why, what is your idea of fun, anyways?" He asked, glancing over at the blonde. Marcel heard her chuckle at his words, though, he took no offense to it. "I think I'll have to take you up on that offer." He said, giving her another warm smile of his. He then started walking with her, through the gardens for a long while, until they had to separate to prepare for the feast. "I hope to see you again, Lady Evangeline." He said, offering her a smile before he strode off toward his room to change before the feast. After changing his clothes, once again, Marcel headed down toward the dining hall for the feast. After entering the room, he realized he was just on time.

He sat down next to Eli and near, but not next to, Astor. "Hello, brother." He said to Eli. He then greeted Astor next. He glanced over to his side to look at Florin for a moment. He'd seen his hateful glance his way earlier but he returned only the friendliest of grins at the man. He was rarely ever bitter. He then raised his eyebrows as he saw the man stand up from his chair, muttering something to Eli, and then running out of the room. Marcel watched, in horror, as Florin ran straight into a man carrying a tray of water. The sound of spilling water and shattering glass rang out through the room before Florin bent down to help the man clean up and then he hurriedly exited the room. Marcel had to hold back a snicker at the sight he'd just seen. He watched then, a few minutes later, as Davy entered the room and sat down next to Marcel. "Hello, Davy." He said as he greeted the man. "You just missed Florin's catastrophe." He said, giving a curt laugh.

      ..RENEE ABOTT
      xx.xx━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
      xx.xxqueen's lady - twenty-one - tagged: florin
So far Renee had met the lords, the king and the two princes during the short time that she had been here. However she couldn't help feel that there was one less person that she had been told about beforehand who wasn't present. Her head analyzed the certain faces she had seen, mentally checking off their names which she had spent so long memorizing in order not to get them wrong. Ah, it was the middle prince: Prince Marcel. He was the proud one, the flirtatious one, the one that she had been told to look out for. As he progressed near her and Evangeline, who had been behind, she looked at him, noting the way he presented himself. He greeted her with a smile and she returned it and she watched as he moved onto Evangeline and seemingly pay more attention to her in the end for Renee herself was occupied with the man standing right next to her. She turned away from Marcel just as she felt her hand lift and a small, warm touch pressed onto her hand. She looked down at Florin, their eyes meeting for a mere second, before her hand dropped back to her side, the feeling of the kiss still tingling on her skin.

Renee rather liked being with Florin and the small talk that they currently held even though he occasionally would become silent, most likely lost in his thoughts. The girl didn't really mind for a little silence was appropriate at times. He was a polite being, as all lord's were expected to be, and not so much like his appearance of being menacing or anything of that sort. Renee let her newly found tour-guide whisk her away around the castle from his notably favorite places of the archery range and stables to his own secret passage ways and places she should beware of. It was all very fun and she found herself enjoying it, but once she was shown into her own bedroom, which was unfortunately conjoined with Evangeline's, she couldn't help but feel a certain relief and satisfaction of finally being alone. Of course, this was only temporary for the feast was set to begin soon. She thanked Florin for escorting her here and went inside seeing her bags awaiting her on the floor, before shutting the door behind her.

The room was grand. To the right there was a fireplace and several love seats for suitable lounging along on as well as a table in the center of chairs. In the back of the room laid a vanity and a desk stocked full with ink and paper. Then to the left of her was the masterpiece, a prodigious sized bed with a dreamy canopy sat there inviting her to come and rest her head on it, which she dearly wanted to do. If only one knew how much the girl desired to get out of the corset that had been squeezing her waist from the early morning and wear her nightgown . Renee opened her bags, going through the many dresses that she had packed for events like the one such of now, until she found this dress. She wasn't going to wear the matching cape that she had made along with the dress, but planned on wearing it for colder weather. The dress itself was primarily loose and white until it got to around the waist, which exploded into golden flowers with a rather risqué neckline that plunged past her chest. It was a risk, but nothing thrilled Renee more than just that. She sat down at her vanity and stared a little while at her hair. Nothing very special was going to happen to it. She took her brush and ran it through her hair, quickly redoing her side part before calling it a day.

The girl then proceeded to leave her room. As she was about to walk down the hall towards the feast, she stopped in her tracks when she saw Florin in her peripheral vision. She hadn't expected him to wait for her, but nevertheless accepted his company. The walk toward the grand hall was silent except for the sharp clicking of her heels that sometimes even drove her mad. When they got to the grand hall, she thanked Florin for all he had done and took her seat near River, but next to Evangeline. She settled down, made smalltalk and watched as different dishes started to roll up. However the feast had barely started when Renee saw Florin bolt out of his seat in such a hurry, a sort of flustered and crazy look in his eyes. After that, everything seemed to happen in slow motion. She had spotted the servant carrying the water and heading right towards Florin, but before she could say or do anything it happened. The sharp clank of the metallic tray and water pitcher against the floor and the contents inside it pouring out onto the floor. Renee found the behavior curious, but decided against going to him at the current moment. It would be disrespectful to leave the feast made for their arrival before it even started, so the girl made her mind to maybe pay him a visit after the dinner if she was feeling up to it.

As the feast dragged on with all the merriment, Renee somehow remained polite in her conversations with the others at the table though in reality all she wanted to do was get the hell out of the place. The air was hot and stuffy, the noise was just about to give her a headache, and most of the conversations she was having, to her chagrin, were starting to bore her. She needed some air, a walk perhaps. She excused herself from the table by saying she was feeling tired and gave a gracious curtsy to Eli, River, and the whole lot of important people sitting at the same table, before leaving.

As soon as the doors of the grand hall closed behind her, Renee finally felt at peace, the noise getting quieter and quieter as she progressed farther away, down the stairs and various halls until she finally reached the gardens. The day was getting dimmer, the moon waiting for its time to take over as she walked through the grass barefoot. She knew that it wasn't at all ladylike and it would be a shame if someone of title found her like this, but her chosen pair of shoes for the evening had been squeezing her toes in an unbearable way, so came the idea of not wearing them at all. Renee kept her head up, gazing at the landscaping of the hedges and the diverse assortment of flowers that had been planted, when she saw a figure in the distance grooming a horse with one of the prettiest coats that she had seen. She couldn't really make out the features of the person, but assumed that it was a stableboy for everyone else was at the feast, and started walking towards him with a want to see the horse up close. "Hey you!" She called out, her voice ringing in the emptiness of the fields. The girl was almost to her destination for the horse grew clearer, as well as the man beside it. His familiar features eventually came into place in her head and she mentally cursed herself for looking as she did. "Lord Florin!" She said before dropping her heels into the grass beneath and hastily stepping into them. "I, uh didn't expect to see you here." Now that was a stupid thing to say for he had clearly told her earlier today that the stables were one of his favorite places to be.

      EVANGELINE
      ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
      [ queen's lady ][ twenty two ][ no crush ][ tagged; the court ]
The moment he mentioned her dog, she looked down at the border collie, smiling gingerly. Returning her eyes to him, she replied. "His name is Monty," her words generous, more than they previously have been towards the prince. her hands resting on the front of her dress, one over the other. Evangeline looked like she was sweet and innocent, but she really wasn't. No one actually knew there was a knife in her boot that she could easily put in your heart from a distance. Her blonde hair flowing ever so gently with the soft wind, Marcel began to speak once again. Speaking of her not being one to be cooped up inside, rather outside and doing something productive instead. The moment she mentioned 'sword fighter', a devious smirk pulled at her soft lips. "I suppose you could put it that way," of course she knew how to sword fight. Evangeline learned at a young age.

While all girls were being taught manners and to hold their pinkie out when they drink from cups, little, wild Evangeline was off stirring up trouble and playing with wooden swords the little princes and lords would goof around with. Of course she was constantly in trouble for it. 'Evangeline, put the toy down! You're a lady!' 'Evangeline, no weapons on the table!' 'Evangeline, you are a lady, not a knight!' When there is a will, there is a way, and that's what the little lion did. Her older brother knew about her longing to learn how to fight, so he taught her when no one was around, and therefore, she became the girl she is today. If she had her way, there would be pants on rather than a dress. This dress didn't have a corset, which was why it was one of her favorite dresses. Pushing a few strands of hair behind her ear, the small flashback came to an end as her eyes landed on Marcel's own eyes.

His mentioning of how her 'ideas of fun' were particularly relevant to his, Evangeline chuckled under her breath. She would take on any man, but the idea of bringing disgrace to her family was not in the general idea of being a Queen's Lady. Embarrassing a man was a great way to take away his pride, but a great way to get in deep, deep, deep trouble. "My idea of fun? You'd laugh at me if I told you," no one took her seriously when and if she told them she could throw a knife or sword fight some of the best swordsmen. Of course this prince took her up on her offer to stroll around the garden. He seemed very proud and full of pride. He was a humble prince, nonetheless. When their little walk came to an end, she knew Marcel was probably still due to prepare his own self for the feast. Smart of her, Evangeline did it already and was ready for what the night had to offer. "I, too, hope to have the pleasure of seeing you, Prince Marcel."

A fake smile on her lips as he finally disappeared, she almost felt as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Taking a deep breath of relief, she knew the feast would be starting here pretty soon, so bringing Monty back to the room would be needed. Looking down at her dog, she stroked it's head and the duo headed back to their quarters. Leaving Monty inside the room, him laying down at the end of the bed, Evangeline kissed the top of his head and was off to the feast. Trying to find where it was located wouldn't be hard, considering there would be music and plenty of chatter among the people attending. Blazing her way down the hall, the sound of the cheery music and laughter filled her ears, it coming into range. Upon entering the great hall, she found a seat immediately, not even checking to see who she was by. Folding her hands in her lap, she bit her lips slightly. What could go wrong tonight?

At this thought, instantly, Florin managed to make a mess. Clumsy, yes, she has been in his situation at the worst times, so being courteous, she didn't laugh, joke, or do anything to make fun of him. Her eyes landed on Marcel, who seemed to be doing exactly what she frowned upon. He was someone Evangeline wasn't too sure she wanted to be around, but at this point in time, there was really no choice. It was an ignorant thing to do, so instead, she started to help clean up. Emerging from her seat, she knelt down and began to pick up the mess. The man insisting she took a seat, the blonde looked over and shook her head. Once the mess had been taken care of, Evangeline made her way back to the spot at the table, pulling it out and making herself cozy as possible without looking the slightest bit 'improper'.

The idea of sitting in a stuffy room, full of people that were constantly asking her the same questions, just worded differently made her rather irritable. Groaning under her breath so no one could hear, the Queen's Lady watched Renee leave, an eyeroll from the feisty blonde taking soon after. Evangeline was not a fan of Renee. Her 'prim and proper' ways irked her like no other. Yeah, River was very....proper, but there was something about Renee that caused Angie to just roll her eyes to the back of her head. Looking down so she wasn't making anymore eye contact, but the moment she looked back up, everyone was talking to her again. Great.

[ sorry this is so short, my parents cut off the wifi, so I had to hurry. ;-; ]
