    Natasha Romanoff // tags; Apollo
Natasha had been in this situation once or twice before, especially in her earlier years with SHIELD. It certainly taught her a lesson, and now whenever she was supposed to be tracking someone, or keeping tabs on them, as Apollo put it, she would never let them out of her sight. It was all strategy, and now that she had done it so much, spying and tracking wasn't as fun as getting her hands dirty on combat missions. "Don't worry. Knowing these new recruits they are probably off trying to find some guy or girl to call them their own." she reassured. Most of the time those they were sent to keep an eye on weren't a danger to anybody, but had to be watched in case Hydra or any other enemy agency tried to get their hands on them. Thinking of that, Natasha figured it might be wise to try and find this person, especially if they were a mutant. "I could help you find them if you'd like," she offered, which was rare of her to do, but she was bored and this was better than nothing. "Apollo right? I'm Agent Natasha Romanoff."

"A restaurant sounds inviting" He mused, looking towards the parking deck before observing Sasha and Marc's bickering. Vision watched with faint curiosity, tagging behind the three while walking with his hands behind him. The car did seem old, but the android didn't know much about cars anyway. Besides, old doesn't necessarily mean it needs replacing...Probably could get better with age. 'Or does that phrase only refer to wine?' The Android thought, before climbing into one of the back seats. A smile tugged at his lips when the car spluttered to life, leaning back on the seat and staring out the nearest window. The area they seemed to be going to looked promising, but he focused mainly on getting to know the area; mapping it out in his mind. Since most of the people back at HQ knew the area, Vision made it his goal to get familiar with landmarks and small nuances relating to his current residence. Besides, he didn't want the mind stone to do most of the work anyway. "By the way, what exactly is a kebab?" He asked after a while, tilting his head. So far, his culinary knowledge was substantial; mostly due to Tony's teachings on what is deemed 'The food of life'. He'd had a variety of food so far, recently shwarma on a group bonding day, but he hadn't stumbled across kebabs just yet. Oh well, at least its something new.

Apollo sighed and stared at the sky, faint curiosity sparkling in her eyes. Shaking her head weakly, she cleared her head of all thoughts and looked back at Natasha, waiting for her assessment about the situation. The brunette bit her bottom lip and looked out over the kids. She smiled softly praying that they never went into the profession she chose, and that they never found out what horrors laid in the shadows. As she stared at the kids, her eyes held a softer look in them than they had in a while.

Once Natasha started speaking again, she jerked her head to look at the older woman and nodded, biting down on her bottom lip. She listened carefully, nodding every now and then to let the woman know she was still assertive. Her face paled greatly when Agent Romanoff mentioned Hydra or another sideline agency taking Sophia. Apollo quickly shook her head, and looked down at her clenched fists. "That will not happen." She muttered with such certainty, looking up only when Natasha offered her help in finding the runaway Angel. She smiled weakly and nodded. "Agent Apollo James, it's an honor to be working with you, Agent Romanoff." She says and relaxed her clenched fists, trying to calm the "fangirl", whatever that is, that was squealing inside of her.

Marc turned around in her seat to look back at Vision. "It's like meat and vegetables cooked on a stick, then wrapped up in flatbread." She whipped back around as Sasha slammed on the breaks, cursing loudly at the guy in car in front of him. He'd adjusted pretty well to America and it's customs, but his driving was one thing that hadn't changed. In fact, it got worse when he went back to Russia.

Despite the roller coaster ride of a drive, they managed to get to the restaurant in one piece. Sasha hopped out, looking proud of himself. "I think I did pretty good," He commented. Marc could only rolled her eyes and try to comb her fingers through her windswept hair.

After watching Quetzalcoatl fly off in another direction, Kainix walked down the street with an eye trained on the faces that passed her. She never made eye contact with any of them in order to keep from invade their minds. She knew the signs she was looking for and she didn't need to search anyone's eye for the subtle signs of the black cat. Her search was fruitless once more however and she soon decided that his creatures must be traveling in another part of the city. Kainix joined a small group of people waiting for the light to change to safely cross the road and looked up at the buildings that nearly blocked out the sky completely. She could honestly say that she hated large city It was too crowded and loud here; too many things going on at once and too many people coming and going to keep track of. Kainix had hoped to keep her visit short, but once they traced he trail of the black jaguar to this location, she knew they would be there a while much to her dismay.
The sweet sound of an exotic bird song suddenly filled her ears and she held her arm out for Quetzalcoatl to land on. She felt the breeze his brought brought as he slowed his decent and lightly clasped his talons around her out stretched arm. He shook his out his feathers as he pulled in his wings and sung another sweet little tune as Kainix stroked his neck feathers.
'They are close. They can not be too far from where we stand at this very moment.' he mused, passing the words on through their mental connection, 'But they have hidden their presence well. I can not place just exactly place their location...'
Kainix took a deep breath and sighed, ignoring the staring eyes around them, all looking at the brightly colored bird sitting on her shoulder. The light ahead of them changed and the crowd waiting to cross started moving. She sighed, 'He's stalling for time, sending us on a wild goose chase to give him time to wait for night fall.' Kainix thought back to him, 'It may be better to go ahead and alert SHIELD of his presence before then...It would give us more of an advantage.'
Quetzalcoatl chuckled, 'That is true. I know anything about him, he is not at all a patient being.'
Kainix grinned a little before moving forward and following the crowd across the street, still ignoring the many curious stares around them, 'Then perhaps we should make our way towards SHIELD's HQ instead of looking for them then.'

~ Jaguar Warriors ~
The two disguised warriors watched from afar as Kainix and Quetzalcoatl walked across the street across the road from them. They'd covered their animal forms with the faces of the humans they once were and hid their pale, pure-white eyes behind their sunglasses. One of them hissed quietly to the other to wear only he could hear him as to not frighten the mortals around them and blow their cover. They had been quick to trace them, that colorful pile of feathers; much quicker than their master had predicted but now they had dropped the chase and were headed away form them. They knew that the Dragnium knew where they were but it seemed they had caught on to their master's motive. The two jaguars turned to look at each other as the felt the obsidian mirrors around their necks vibrate out a command into their hollow heads.
'I have been found out. Switch to plan B.'
The animals hummed with a complaint thought and the two finely dressed creatures stood from the table they sat at and parted ways, one walking away from the Dragnium and the other following their path from the opposite side. The jaguar that walked away from them was ordered to follow his master's original orders while the other felt the mirror around his neck vibrate once more.
'Don't lose sight of them. Follow them and await further instructions.'

A tall man, wearing a collared, dark purple jacket, a black tanktop underneath that, jeans, and boots walked through the park's area, his eyes hidden underneath a pair of sunglasses. Clint 'Hawkeye' Barton had only one mission...and that was to eliminate a rather well-known gangster, of the crime syndicate, 'The Backwater Family'. They were all over NYC, and had a pretty high holding in the underground criminal organization. The gangster was last spotted in Downtown NYC, IE where he was now, and the most logical place to search was the park - with it's bright sun, innocent women and children gallivanting in the grassy fields, and thus...prime people for the gangster to threaten and potentially kill. His sunglasses were outfitted with an AI designed to highlight the figures of civilians, and scan SHIELD databases for the gangster's build, physique, and face. One 'James Gertrude'.

As he walked through the park, eyes narrowed, despite his hands in his pockets and body relaxed, Clint's sunglasses highlighted two faces, and the faces were automatically recorded. Natasha Romanoff, and Apollo James. The former, he knew, and the latter...not so much. 'Shi-' Clint abruptly twisted on his heel, bumping into a woman having a stroll with her kid.

"Sorry." He muttered, offering the woman a gloved hand. The kid watched, and innocently, reached up and took off the undercover agent's glasses.

"Tommy! Give that back, now!" The mother yelled, reaching for the boy, who darted out of her hands with a giggle. Clint sighed, walking after the little kid, the scene garnering the attention of nearby park-goers. Great...just when he was trying to avoid Natasha, for now - even he didn't really know why - this had to happen.

Tommy threw the sunglasses through the air, and they landed in the grass right in front of Natasha and Apollo. Hawkeye felt a migraine coming on, and gave Tommy a death-stare as the little boy ran back to his mommy. There was no avoiding it, now. By Thor, was he an amateur again? Letting a little kid steal his stuff?

Clint walked over to the bench the two women sat at, mentally hoping he wouldn't be recognized - considering he had no face cover, the hope was pretty low. "'Scuse me, ladies." He reached down, grabbing the sunglasses. Great. The high-tech device wasn't chipped. He stayed in the crouching position, not really wanting to look up and meet the two stares.

"This grass is in peak condition." He noted coolly, acting as if he totally wasn't crouching like an idiot. After that event in the bar, a few days ago, where they had accidentally locked lips when Clint tripped and fell onto her because he was highly tipsy...yeah, he had sorta been trying to avoid the woman by taking a lot of missions. It had worked, so far.

"I've heard a lot about you. In a good way," Natasha responded with a relaxed smile. It wasn't often that she was this kind to people, but she did like what she heard about this women, and was interested to see her in action. Even though they would just be tracking someone down, it was better than nothing. She was about to ask who they were looking for when they were interrupted by a pair of flying sunglasses followed by a man whom she hadn't seen in a few days after the bar incident. "Look what the cat dragged in. A hawk." Natasha spat, clearly upset with the man for avoiding her. Sure they had kissed, due to his drunk self, but that didn't mean he had to avoid her like a teenage school boy. She wouldn't lie to herself that she didn't feel something for the Agent, but that wasn't ever going to be admitted. It was no use anyway, as it was clear he did not feel the same way. "You still hungover? Don't look too hot there Barton." she teased with a smirk. Though she was still upset, there was no use on holding a grudge over it.

Ouch. Hell, he probably didn't look the best. He hadn't been getting much sleep the past nights. Not because of the accidental kiss, but because of work. Regardless, this was the last mission he was going to take that took time out of his civilian life, so his sleep schedule should be back on point afterwards. Clint stood, wiping the back of the sunglasses on his tanktop, before slipping the dark shades on. "Yeah, well, beauty sleep is for princesses, princess." He replied easily, not really taking much notice of the rather confusing, yet blunt compliment/teasing insult. Turning his head so that he slowly scanned the crowd of park-goers, he did notice when his hawk-like eyes locked onto a figure in a hoodie, and the sunglasses did they job, instantly identifying the man as 'James Gertrude'. James seemed to be walking around, but he had his hands in his pockets - pockets that were too bulky to just be hands.

"I found Gertrude." Clint spoke into a hidden earpiece, giving Natasha and Apollo another glance. They weren't in on the mission, but hopefully they knew to back him up if things went to Hell - it was a glance that most seasoned agents knew when they saw it, but Apollo was a newer agent, if he remembered correctly.

Clint reached into his back pocket, and a small, compact, high-powered tazer was gripped in his gloved right hand when he pulled his fist out. "James Gertrude...well-known gangster. Have to bring him in for questioning." Clint spoke up before any questions could pop up, his voice low and quiet. For now, he would wait until the man moved into a more solitary position. For now, the hooded gangster seemed fine just gazing around the park.
