Rendan sat in a tree, watching a small butterfly flit around. The butterfly noticed her and quickly flew away. She sighed, looking up at the ceiling of the dome. She was so used to this same old routine of hers. The only productive thing she'd managed to do was keep track of her favorite tree. Well, it was not even productive. She groaned and covered her face with her sleeves, leaning forward onto her stomach with her wings splayed out to keep her balance. Her tail curled around the branch, as a precaution against falling. She let her arms fall limply on either side of the branch, tiredly watching the sky, waiting for something different, something unique to happen.
Koga walked down the hall from the scientists' bed rooms. Another day, another chance to torture children. He adjusted his glasses, making a slight tsking sound as he thought of how long this entire project was going to take. He slightly shook his head and continued on.
Naen playfully slugged Kenjo in the arm, laughing at his best friend's story of how he tricked a hybrid into walking right into a scientist, and how he thought he could easily get Naen in trouble the same way. " Pfft. No way, dude. You know I'm better at sniffing out a trap than you! Besides, no offense buddy, but I've had to bail you out of so many boobytraps I can't even count them all!" Kenjo huffed, crossing his arms and rubbing where Naen had punched him. " I was only following your instructions. Besides, I read more than you do, so I'm smarter." Naen chuckled. " You're such a bookworm. I just don't read books because I'm dyslexic." Kenjo glared at him. " You've never told me that before." Naen smiled naughtily. " Welp, I guess the secret's out then!" He shrugged, laughing. Kenjo pinched the bridge of his nose, groaning. " You think I'm so stupid as to believe a blatant lie like that? C'mon, Naen, you're better than that." Naen laughed, shrugging again. They turned a corner, ceasing their laughter when they passed a scientist. When the scientist was gone, they looked back at each other and smiled, almost breaking into full-out laughter. They continued on, work now on their minds.
Hello, I'm Drag! I'm not usually on here, so if you see me it's a rare occasion...
