Eregon is a rather off key reptile. He never stays in one place for long, and when in the kingdom he is usually
looking around outside. If he finds or hears something important, he is sure to tell the prince. He stands
about 6 feet 9 inches, having a very slim body. He is very lanky, but packed with muscles. High cheek bones
small egg shaped eyes, narrow face and orange eyes, he is very peculiar. In human form, he is still very tall, lanky and musular
but rather tan, almost chocolate brown colored though it is just his scales, really. He has never shown his human form to
anybody, and never will as he says. In human years, he is about 19. Very young but wise. Eregon is a scout, but is in to the trading business too.K'Joor wrote:

Nobody knows if she can turn into a human, but there is little chance she can or every will. K'Joor is a Hunter.

The cloaked figured passed through the village, handing out supplies to the inhabitants, such as food, water, and even bags of coins. They thanked her kindly, and some even tried to repay her, but the figure would decline their offers politely and move on. The mysterious being was a girl, age seventeen, and a wanted woman. She was Elizabeth Anne Arabella, a thief and criminal to the kingdom, and a care giver to the poor.
Her forest green eyes flashed from beneath her hood, as she stopped to gaze around the village. Her work here was done, and it was now time to move on before her presence to her enemies became known. Humming to herself lightly, she wrapped her cloaked about herself and strode her way through the village quietly. Outside of the village, her horse Aiden would be awaiting her. From their, she would make her way to the next village in need of her assistance.

. Valoria dismounted Grella -a small black mare known for her gentle disposition- with a huff of relief, squinting in the early afternoon sunlight. The morning had been a buzz of servants and maids hustling to get everything ready for the Perrys' departure, and the whole day had been spent in various states of movement, be it in a carriage or on a horse. Val had opted for the latter option just past noon, not wanting to miss the first glimpse of Istoth. She had been infatuated with the rolling hills and lush vegetation from the moment she mounted Grella, fighting the impulse to sprint into the grass and run rampant.
Having a small, nimble body had its benefits, but for the most part, Val found herself hampered by her weak heart and frail form. Such was the case when Val allowed herself to be led into her carriage again. The ride had taken more out of her than she cared to admit, something her mother would surely have disapproved of. But Lady Sybella hadn't been chosen to travel to Istoth with the King. Along with a couple dozen other assorted nobles and servants, Val had been dreading the trip for weeks. Well, dreading wasn't quite the right word. Although Val wasn't looking forward to the weeks of tense parties and hours of boredom, there was a certain element to the whole endeavor that excited her. Istoth and Seulghem had been at war for centuries, and for the first time the two nations weren't fighting, but meeting in Istoth instead to mingle and pave the way for peace.Status wrote:Dorian Lewis

.
Dorian sat up groggily, the edges of sleep chased away by the morning sunlight that filtered through his window. Where was he again? Oh, right. Dorian cursed as the reality of his situation dawned on him. The night before was still hazy, but he vaguely remembered meeting a certain pretty brunette. Swearing, Dorian threw on his clothes with a speed that defied his sleep-hampered body. It was beginning to come back to him, and Dorian could tell things were not looking good.
After all, who would believe him if he said the young woman had paid him to entertain at her daughter's party? No one, that's who. The party had ran late, and by the time Dorian was ready to leave -much to the reluctance of the giggling 7-year-olds- he was in no state to walk the dark roads home to the castle. Marie had offered to let him stay in their guest room for the night, and declining would have been rude, not to mention stupid. The Market District was a wonderful place to shop, but at night the bright and cheery streets became dark and foreboding, filled with shady characters more-than-willing to take advantage of an exhausted mage.
To make a long story short, Dorian had no desire to linger. Writing a quick note of thanks to Marie and her daughter, Dorian wished the now 7-year-old the best of luck, and left without his pay. Now, lets get this straight. Dorian was a mage, and he expected to get paid for his ability. However, Marie was an old friend. Dorian hadn't lived his whole life in the palace, remember? Yes, he had often wished for a special present on his birthday, and Dorian wasn't one to be deny a mere child of some pretty illusions. Glancing at castle, Dorian could tell the Royal Staff wasn't going to be pleased. Seulghem nobles were arriving today, and keeping on time would be pivotal in making a good impression. He could only imagine the fuss the king and queen were making right now. Everything had to be perfect, or else.

ALVERE.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
[ male ] [ seulghem ] [ tagged: no one ]
The sun was beating heavily upon his back. Normally, such heat wouldn't bother the captain of the royal guard, for he could always find shelter in the shadows cast by buildings or trees. However, travelling across open fields clothed in god-knows how many layers of fabric and leather, and then a spaulder on the top along with his thick belt and heavy weapons wasn't helping the matter. The young man supposed that he should be grateful, at least, for he still was wearing his hat. The large cavalier hat made from felt and trimmed with feathers where it was turned up was very good protection from the beating sun but it didn't stop the thin sheen of sweat upon his brow.
Lifting a hand to wipe across his browline, Alvere scowled slightly. Himself, along with several other Royal Guards, were escorting the King and other assorted Royals and Nobles to Istoth, their age-old enemy, in order to outline the rules of a peace treaty. Whether or not it would work was another question, and while his blood normally boiled for a fist fight in a tavern or to simply catch enemies to the crown, he was looking forwards to a time of peace. Then he could really enjoy himself in the local taverns, without worrying about having a hangover during the next battle.
Speaking of enjoying himself.... He had been able to spend the night before with a very pretty blonde. A soft snort of amusement flared from his nose and he shook his head at his own memories, blurred by drink. There was no use of thinking of a woman he would never see again, especially now. Digging his heels into into the flanks of his great black steed, Alvere pulled on the reins and moved to travel at the front of the Royal Carriage.

Kai had spent his morning the same way he always did- patrolling the borders of the kingdom. Not the far borders, mind you, but the nearer ones. From his place atop a small hill, he gazed out across the land. The castle and main area of Istoth lay behind him, barely visible over the rises of the hills. Before him lay the fields and hills of the kingdom. Here there were farms and paths that led to the kingdom proper. While he normally only caught sight of farmers and the like out walking their fields, or the occasional guard or envoy leaving the area, today he spotted something else. It was a group that was arriving. While it was too far out to tell who it was, he didn't think it was one of their own.
Quick as a wink, Kai shifted to his snow leopard form and launched himself from the hilltop. It took him a bit to reach them, but he did at last. Stopping in the path about 40 feet from them, he eyed them for a moment before shifting back. The horses and carriage were adorned with the crest of Seulghem. His eyes narrowed slightly, but he said nothing. Approaching them, he moved towards the forward-most rider. "What is your business in Istoth?" While it wasn't his duty to patrol, he wanted to protect the land and his Lady.

ALVERE.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
[ male ] [ seulghem ] [ tagged: no one ]
Before long, with his horse moving at a steady pace, they neared the border that they had with Istoth. He could hear the wheels of the carriage behind him as they moved over the well-worn travel route, he could hear the mutterings, the words of the nobles to each other just over the breeze. No doubt they would be nervous about this visit: they didn't often visit Istoth and when they did it tended to be in the name of bloodshed. Frankly, Alvere himself was nervous, for he would have to sit in with the negotiations, just to protect those of a higher status than him, for anyone could try and drive a knife into a rich Seulghem's chest.
Tipping the brim of his hat further down to cover his eyes from the glare of the celestial body above him, Alvere was forced just after to tighten the reins of the equine he was seated on as the stallions reared upright, causing a whole load of ungodly racket. Clenching his jaw, the Royal Guard forced the animal back down and spotted the cause of the fright: a shape shifter, one who shifted into the form of a snow leopard.
Th man shifted back and spoke rapidly, just about ordering to know why they were there. As if he did not know: the news of their visit would be running rampant through the streets, no doubt. "We are the Seulghem party arriving to speak of a peace treaty," he responded as calmly as he could, raising his eyebrows, "you will let us pass, and we will be leaving before you know it."

As the lead rider spoke, Kai met his gaze evenly. So this was the envoy of which he had heard? While he did not care for politics in any sense, he did hope for a resolution to the conflict between the kingdoms. By choosing to simply be a guard, he could stay out of politics while still protecting those for whom he cared. Pausing for a moment, Kai simply nodded. "Forgive me, then. As a royal guard, let me accompany you to the castle." He met the man's eyes for a moment before speaking once more.
"I am known as Kai. I assume you know the way, so I shall simply accompany and not lead." He turned his gaze upon the others on horses, meeting their eyes for a brief moment before turning back to the road ahead. He set off, his feet making nary a sound as he walked. While he did hope that everyone here was either a diplomat or a guard, he couldn't bring himself to trust them fully. Any one of them could be a spy or assassin. Keeping his guard up, he tried to keep himself calm so as not to raise suspicion.

➳ Adelaide snake silently through the bushes on the hill just above the ornate carriage, moving with little noise over the dirt-worn trail. How she got there was anyone's guess: She saw a cart going by and was tempted to follow, not being caught up in any other affairs for once. Only this wasn't just any rackety cart on wheels; This was definitely one of a royal family. Whether it was Seulghem's or Istoth's carriage was not that big of a point to contemplate, because it was nearest the border anyhow.
But this wasn't something she needed to think about anyways; Her share of thefts had taught her that there was no schedule for the job. You just took every opportunity you could. And this seemed like a rich one, indeed. Upon sneaking up farther ahead of the carriage along the ridge, she noted the guards at the front of the carriage, steering their horses with an attitude of apparent entitlement pulsating from them. That would be the hardest part, probably, to get past the guards. She was only wielding one dagger at the moment, and she cursed under her breath for not having brought along any more of the weapons stored at her hovel.
But that seemed to be the only major threat: There was only one cart, and a few rough-edged bodyguards to be seen in the small horde. She knew it was a bit of a naïve and rash decision, but she knew that she had to try and get something from this job, and she knew that she would end up stealing from this carriage one way or another. Her funds had been drastically low as of late, and she was desperate for a few septims, if any. There weren't any other signs of life around this neck of the wood, so that would make the job all the more easily if they couldn't call for help. Silently, she trailed the cart, trying to memorize its anatomy. One door on each side. Four very large-ringed wheels. Very ornate décor, though there wasn't exactly ample room for the stagecoach.
It took a few minutes before the carriage halted with not much of a shudder, the guards apparently occupied by a traveler. This was her one and only chance to get anything. The roof of the carriage was visible from her point of view and reachable from the ledge, so she started there. Sliding along the brush, she waited for just a moment, making sure the small militia was fully occupied, before she leaped down on the roof of the carriage with a small but hardy thud. She slid down to the door of the right side of the traveling caravan and thrust it open. There were a few people holed up inside, and she saw little to take. Wonderful, she thought to herself, now regretting her decision to loot the thing. But her eyes did catch a glint, and before she knew what she was doing, her gloved hand reached for and took hold of a medium-sized leather satchel that presumably had something in it. Then she looked to the people inside and unknowingly flashed a small, sly smile before retreating out the door, running as fast as she could away from the traveling party. She waited for the screams, the yelling, the footsteps and hoofsteps of the guards to sound behind her and cringed at that last thought. What she would give for not being captured today...((Oh, my gosh. I'm so so sorry that this is so sketchy! I'm terrible with openers.))

Valoria felt the carriage stop, and sighed with relief. Despite tiring easily, or perhaps because of it, the petite redhead was itching to return to her horse. A dark green hat adorned with a simple black bow rested on the seat beside her, and Val plunked it on her head with a smile. The small carriage was dark and stuffy, and Val had regretted her decision to re-enter the cart almost instantly. Val's maid -a stern, middle-aged woman- protested with her charge, insisting she remain in the carriage to keep her safe, but Val just rolled her eyes. Val reached to open the carriage door, but it slid open before her hand could grasp the handle.
A young woman, maybe a couple years older than Val, hardly paused before snatching up a bag. Smiling once, the woman dashed away. Val froze, her heart jumping painfully. To say the thief was unexpected would be an understatement. Shaking away her shock, Val glanced back at her companions in the carriage. They seemed equally shocked, and only just now had it dawned on them what happened.
"M'lady!" Val's maid gasped, the first to speak. "Your medicine!" Val's bag, which had contained a number of important herbs required in her tea -something she'd been drinking to help her heart that had yielded great results- was gone. Why the thief would have wanted a bunch of herbs was beyond Val; she suspected the woman hadn't known the bag's contents. Perhaps she'd thought she was stealing a bag of jewels, or perfume.
Whatever the reason, the thief had stolen. A second noblewoman began to cry for help, but Val was out of the carriage before she really knew what she was doing. The small redhead began to dash after the thief, suddenly glad she had decided to wear her riding breeches that day. Her mother had always preferred she wear dresses and ride sidesaddle, but her father insisted on purchasing Val some specially tailored breeches to ride in. Since today was a special occasion, Val had chosen to wear a pair of tan riding breeches under a fitted green coat. The whole ensemble created a feminine look that allowed for Val to ride with comfort. Coincidently, it also allowed Val to chase after the thief with a speed that usually wasn't shown in dresses. The way things were, Val was gaining on the thief.

It wasn't but a moment after he turned that the sound of a commotion rose from behind. He thought that it was something that they would be able to deal with, such as someone fainting or complaining about being hungry or the like. It wasn't until the yells turned a bit more desperate that Kai took notice. He turned just in time to catch sight of someone dashing away from the carriage. His eyes narrowed as the first form was soon followed by a second. A lady climbed from the carriage and dashed after the first. If that was a the case, the first was likely a thief.
"Pardon me, Sir." Though he knew the horses would upset again, he shifted instantly to his leopard form and through himself into a sprint. Though snow leopards aren't made for long distance running, he could easily sprint after a human and normally catch them. If they knew a way to hide or dodge exceptionally well, or if they had a horse, there was a chance that they would get away. Kai did know the land very well, however, and had little doubt of catching the thief.
