Gavin threw the last t-shirt into his bag, then quickly zipped up the bag and went down stairs. "Kali!" he called, throwing the bag by the door. He huffed, checking his Iphone for the time. He was already late, and he had to go to Starbucks and then get to the library within the next twenty minutes. "KALI!" he called again, his sister finally emerging from her bedroom. "Let's go, I have to be at the library in twenty minutes!" he said, grabbing his bag and slinging it over his shoulder. Kali, his older sister, rolled her eyes and grabbed her car keys as they walked out of his house and to the blue Toyota. He hopped in the passenger seat and looked over at his sister when she started up the car. "Thank you for taking me," he said with a smile. She just rolled her eyes and drove down the road.
After a few minutes, Gavin emerged from the Starbucks with two drinks in his hands. He had an orange mango smoothie for himself since he hated coffee, and then a iced caramel machiatto for his sister. It was her favorite drink and he wanted to thank her for driving him to the meet up place. Within a few minutes of being on the road Kali pulled the blue Toyota into the library parking lot. "Thanks Kali, have a good summer without me," he said, grabbing his bag out of the back seat. He turned and gave Kali a salute, and Gavin felt better after she smiled at him. He turned and walked into the library, finding the conference room where all the other friends were. He was the first guy there, and he thought about not going in but he opened the door anyway. "Hello ladies, the fun-train has pulled into the station! Choo-choo!" he said, pulling his arm down like he was pulling on the trains horn. He laughed at himself and sat down in one of the chairs, waiting for another guy to arrive.

Carson put the last of his clothes, which mostly consisted of jeans and t-shirts, into his large suitcase. He had to sit on it in order to zip it up, but he had managed to stuff all of the essential things he needed into it, like toothbrush and toothpaste, razor, and shampoo and conditioner; he had only left out things that he would need with him at all times. He pulled out the extending handle and rolled the suitcase down the stairs and to the front door. "Mother, are you coming? I'm ready!" he called, a petite blonde-haired woman appearing at the doorway to the kitchen. "Sure, Carson, I was just making you a tuna salad sanwdwich for lunch," Carson's mother said, handing him the sandwich in a plastic bag. "Now, let's get going, or you're going to be late." Carson nodded and pulled his suitcase out to his family's silver Jaguar convertible, tossing it into the back seat before getting in himself and buckling up. He pulled his sunglasses out of the glove box and put them on, the nice summer breeze blowing through his hair as they headed down the road.

They arrived at starbucks and screeched to a halt. Carson grimaced, he loved his mother, but she wasn't the best of drivers. He went inside and purchased hot tea for his mother and an iced coffee for himself. He handed the tea to his mother as he got back into the car, taking a sip of his drink as he buckled. They pulled into the library parking lot shortly afterwards. Thanks for driving me, mom. I'll see you later," he said, taking his suitcase out of the back and giving his mom a hug goodbye. "Bye, Carson! Have fun with your friends!" she called, driving off. Carson pulled his suitcase through the doors, stuggling to get it all the way through before the door closed on it. He debated weather or not to drag it up the steps, but decided to leave it downstaris, instead. "Hey, can I leave this here for a second? I'll be right back for it, I just don't want to drag it up the steps," he asked the librarian, who gave him a nod. Carson ran quickly up the steps to where the big meeting rooms were. He stopped and listened for voices, going to the door where he could here his friends talking and opening it. "Hey everyone," he said, nodding towards them as he sat down in one of the chairs. He swiveled in it, impatiently, as they waited for the last two people to arrive.

Griffon drove up to the library, parking near the door. He speed walked into the library and up to the meeting room, leaving his two cups of coffee in the van. He hadn't slept well last night, so he needed to insure that he stayed well awake. He burst into the door, out of breath. His eyes scanned the people present, "Sorry I'm late, guys. At least I knew you couldn't leave without me," he said smiling, holding up the keys to the volkswagon. "So, you ready to go?

❥ Emily gave a roll of her eyes at Gavin's fun train joke. "You are so childish." Emily told him with a slight smile and shake of her head. Emily looked down at Honey, who by now was back in her lap. Emily gently scratched the kitten's tiny chin, causing Honey to purr happily. Honey was eyeing the various drinks in the table hungrily, likening the smell if chocolate and sugar coming from a few of them. Emily took another few sips of her drink, in away Honey wouldn't get to it.

Emily had set her drink down by the time Carson had arrived, and was rummaging through the side pocket if her bag for the packet of kitty treats she had packed. "Hello Carson. Honey, will you quit with trying to get something sweet." Emily said without looking up as she tried to brush Honey out of the way. Em finally found the bag of treats and sighed with relief, putting three in spots on the floor around her so she could relax while Honey searched for them. Emily pulled her legs up onto the lounge chair and cribs crossed them, getting comfortable while she waited for Griffon and Miles to arrive. The thought of getting to sit next to Griffon the whole trip made her smile.

-------The alarm clock blared into the silence of the bedroom. It ringed and ringed and ringed until it stopped calling out. A dark brown haired boy raised from the navy blue comforter and sheets into the hazy bedroom. The hazy was from the fog outside his aboard windows on the left side of his bedroom. Abraham, the pup German Shepherd laid curled up peering out of the blankets at the drowsy teenager that rubbed his sleepy eyes while sitting on the side of the bed. Miles smiles brightly at his loyal companion and stood briskly, smile spread wide across his face. "Today is when we leave for the trip, Abe." He spoke in almost a excited shout while shoving things into a duffle-bag. The dog somewhat snorted in response and leaped down from the queen sized bed, galloping down the stairs, waiting at the front door after getting some water. That act of the dog made Miles love Abraham even more. He shoved some clothes into the bag, grabbing his iPhone, charger, and his Dre. Beats and metaphorically flew down the stairs and out the front door. Miles arrived at Starbucks, grabbing a quick black coffee to go and walked good-spiritually towards the library where everyone was meeting. With the library in sight he quickened his pace just a tad bit, eager for adventure with his friends. Grabbing the Beat headphones from his bag he looped them around his neck and to his ears, playing sweet, sweet music into his head. He started charmingly dancing in the middle of a cross-walk when someone honked at him and he scurried across the road. Miles pushed the headphones back down on to his neck and grasped the door handle to the library. The pup sniffed slightly and barked. "Shhhh, dogs aren't allowed but, I think I can sneak you in." The door bell clinked as Miles causally walked by, Abe at hand sneakily. Tossing away the empty coffee cup he turned the corner to where everyone was mingling. "Hey guys." He waved the hand without the dogs leash and smiled brightly.

❥ Emily was glad when a now calmer Honey curled up on the floor next to her feet, just waiting for something interesting to happen. Emily heard the quiet paw steps, and a bit louder foot steps comming toward the room and smiled, knowing who it was since she and Miles were the only ones bringing pets. "Hey Miles, and his little friend." Emily said when they came in. Honey eyed the young dog curiously, fluffing her fur up slightly and sitting up. Emily always found it cute when kittens fluffed their fur up, it just made them look so adorable with double fluff.

Emily bit her lip, hoping Griffon would get there soon so they could get going. Also because the room wouldn't be reserved for them for much longer. So when 'the driver' did finally show up she gave a sigh of relief and smiled brightly. She made it a bit obvious that she had feelings for Griffon, she had never been very good at containing her feelings. "Great, were all here. We just need a few maps and then were ready to go, but we could put our stuff in the van and then get the maps if you'd like." Emily told him kindly. She had a small suitcase and then a small bag containing her waterproof HD camera for video and another camera for pictures and then her sketch book and penciled and such.

I said hi to everyone as they piled in, the nervousness still rushing down my spine as I glanced around at our small group of people. This was going to be a really fun trip, I could already tell. Hopefully there wouldn't been too much drama- but with us as a cast of characters, I didn't believe there would be anything harmful.
I found myself grinning ear to ear when Miles walked in, but I looked down at my cell phone, hoping that no one noticed- and if they did, maybe they'd just think it was a silly text I got or something? Oy, I was going to make such a dang fool of myself while we're on this trip. Though, I was always silly and awkward, so maybe it won't be out of the ordinary to any of them.
I piped up when Emily said we needed maps. I quickly grabbed up my backpack and pulled a few maps out, grinning at everyone by me. "I brought some maps that I got from one of the rest areas about twenty miles south of here-" I said, handing them over to Emily. "I also wrote down some cool places we should visit- Google helped me find some awesome spots!" I could feel myself beginning to get overall super excited again, which made a bit of my anxiety cool down.

hey Em! I said sitting down and pulling out my iPad and started reading comics. I murmured hello as everyone showed up, too engrossed in Batman to pay much attention. When Griffon finally turned up, I packed my iPad away. Waiting to get out of here. When Arabella produced some maps, I smiled, even wider when she said they were only 20 miles south. hey Arabella, how's about you look out fir spots and I use my maps. I said. I knew it sounded arrogant but hey, I was the guide. I stuck my hand into my backpack that I had bought along as well as my suitcase. I pulled out a hefty map book that looked to weigh around 20 kgs. this book has maps of all of * whatever states we are travelling through * and I've got portable wifi for google maps I said with a smile. I could practically hear the others rolling their eyes. I realised Carson had turned up. God, I couldn't say anything now, it would be way to obvious...

Skylar looked down at Honey, giving the kitten a couple of pats on the head as he weaved through her legs. While cats weren't her favourite animals since they could eat birds, Emily's honey and white cat was an exception. Smiling slightly, she decided to stand for a while, her hot chocolate from Starbucks still cradled in her hands. " I agree with you there, I wonder which of them will be the first here? " She said, giving Darcy a smile and a hello as she passed by.

As Gavin walked by, her heart fluttered slightly. Now, she had to act subtle. Sitting would be the best thing right now. Her mind wandered to where Gavin was walking, but quickly decided to seat herself next to Emily. Plus, she could stroke Honey if he came near her. Carson then walked in, followed by Miles and finally Griffon. She twitched slightly, taking a sip of her coco and receiving a moustache due to the whip cream, she laughed. Skye then decided to see if she could pull a serious face off before starting to talk, her whip cream moustache still in place. " Both maps should come in handy. They'll also be tour guides and things at certain spots. Anyway, where will everyone be sitting? I believe Darcy and Ari are behind Emily and Griffon, but other than that I have no clue. "

❥ Emily nodded and handed the maps Arabella brought over to their guide, Darcy. "Great Ari, I know some really cool places in Kentucky and Glenwood, I also know of some great hotels along the route were taking." Emily replied, glad she wasn't the only one that knew of cool places. Honey was still eyeing the dog, backing up closer to Emily. Emily reached down and scooped her up murmuring a few words to calm her down.

Emily reached into her bag and quickly took out her camera for photos. Then snapped a picture of them all discussing maps and such with the flash off. She took out a very plain looking book and waited for the photo that she just took to develop. Her camera was one of the kinds that "spit" out the photo after you took the picture. Honey seemed quite annoyed by the picture since the click of the button was right by her ears. "Sorry if I randomly take a photo, I tend to do that sometimes. Also, anything you want a photo of just ask, though if it's a ton we'll need to stop and get more photo paper." Emily told her friends. The photo had developed so she carefully put it in a photo holder. The book had clear photo sheets and white paper in it.
