Tommy snorted as he heard Chase's flirtatious comment. He imagined poor little Miri sad or in tears as the jock inevitably hurt her and moved on the the next pretty girl he spotted. Only Tommy was aloud to mess with Miri as far as he was concerned. As much as he bugged and teased the girl he had known for years, it made him angry to think of anyone really hurting her. Tommy grabbed Chase's shoulder and forced him to turn and face him. "Hey, meathead, how about you go line up some other victim?" he said loudly with a pissed off look on his face.

From what I've heard, you're not exactly the friendliest guy to her in the world are you now?" He glared at Tommy, he had had enough of it and now really needed to let off some steam. "Watch what you say cos it would be a shame if I accidentally knock you down. Anyway, you really need to watch what you say, make sure you know who your making an enemy of and don't get into a fight that you can't win."

If you really didn't like her and you love pissing her off then you would gladly let me break her heart. Why are you so bothered about us anyway? You don't know me and you don't know what I'm feeling. By the looks of things you just want me out of the way and all to yourself." Chase stepped even closer to Tommy so that he was practically pushed up against him, "Well tough, you can't decide who me or Miri can be friends, or more than friends, with. It's none of your business and unless you seriously want to get hurt. I suggest that you get lost!"

indentno scout wasn't name calling, that's just how things worked. like lucas was a class clown and so was zachariah. mayseren was known as a loner and scout was one of the 'skaters'. along with robert and renee. lucas quickly said the band geek's name though. lyra... scout stood stock still as she tried to remember the name... it was a small school, she should be able to know everyone. suddenly it hit her. fourth period. second row, two seats diagonal from scout. scout looked rather odd standing there, deep in thought staring at lyra, still holding lucas' phone. jumping back into the present, scout perked up, shoved lucas' phone back in his hands, and ran a hand through her hair.

As Tommy straightened out to level Chase's gaze, Chase narrowed his eyes threateningly. Suddenly, he saw the punch and straight away, his first reaction was to push Miri backwards, he wanted to at least make sure that she wasn't caught in all of this and hurt. He tried to dodge and deflect the shot but after pushing Miri out of the way, he was a few seconds short of time and the punch hit him on his lower jaw. Chase clenched his teeth in anger and pain and snarled "Why you little..." he trailed off as he lunged at Tommy, aiming a strong punch right towards the other boy's stomach. In his mind, he knew that he should just stop and calm himself down but this little punk had taken it too far, way too far. His anger took control of him and his eyes were now blazing. His head was already pounding and his brain was screaming to him. One voice told him to stop, calm down and sort this out like adults but the other half was screaming at him to keep fighting and to show Tommy who was boss, and right now, the more violent and angry side of him was winning.

People were staring at the two guys now, giving them space. Some whispered in shocked tones while others chanted and cheered. Tommy wasn't fast enough to dodge the punch from Chase all the way, getting him knuckles to his rib. His eyes flared with anger and he punched the jock again, ignoring his surroundings now. He'd enjoy giving this guy a few bruises. He winced as he caught Miri's eyes for a moment but refocused on Chase and their fight.
