Rose Tyler

I studied the man. There was something about him that reminded me of the Doctor. The way he held himself, perhaps? I frowned. "What's your name?" I asked suspiciously. I side-stepped to stand next to the Dalek, out of range of its laser.

[FLYBOY]

"My name is the Master," the time lord told her. Perhaps that was a bad decision, perhaps not- it wasn't like he was afraid to tell people his name, after ruling the world for a year. "Who are you?" he asked, genuinely curious.

((Bluh, writer's block.)

My eyes widened. The Master... The Doctor had spoken of him before, sometimes as a friend, sometimes as a foe. I crossed my arms, and responded with, "Well, well, a Time Lord, then. And one I've heard of before. What are you doing, talking with a Dalek?"

[FLYBOY]

"You didn't answer my question,"
were the first words out of the Master's mouth. It was the first thing that had popped into his mind, so he asked- it wasn't like he had suddenly forgotten what he wanted to know just because the human recognized him. However, he decided he may as well ask another question- "How do you know who I am?"

"Friend of mine told me," I said casually. I half-sighed, half-laughed, and said, "Fine, both of you. If you wanna know my name so badly... I'm Rose Tyler. I've travelled with the Doctor, once or twice." I smiled wistfully. "Now then, Master!" I quipped. "What're you doing talking with a Dalek?"

[Jailor]

"HE IS NOT TALKING TO ME." Dalek Spark corrected, "I AM INTERROGATING HIM. THERE IS A NOTABLE DIFFERENCE, ROSE TYLER."
She disliked the way the human had suddenly ignored her, and started to talk to the Time Lord instead. Daleks were superior above every other race - Time Lords, as a matter of fact, WERE NOT!
But it seemed this Rose Tyler human knew something about the Doctor. Maybe he was here, after all.

The Master glanced back over at the Dalek. "No, I'm afraid you're mistaken," he corrected. "This is talking, not interrogation. I am speaking to you of my own free will." Which, technically, was true. If he had decided not to talk, he could simply turn and walk away- if the Dalek had been lying, which it probably was, he would be exterminated then and there, but still- his choice to talk. Lousy choice, but his.

I turned my back on the Master and the Dalek, preparing to walk away. "Nice chat," I called. Suddenly, I turned on my heel and strode back to them. "Well," I started. "I was going to leave, but then, I figured that you two must have a reason for being here, right?" I walked over to the Dalek and stared straight down its eyestalk. "So why don't you tell me why?"
