Chase suddenly felt someone collide into his side and he looked to see a red haired girl looking at him. By the looks of her, she was not part of 'his crowd' but then again, she was a girl and he felt like it was his duty to make friends. She was wearing quite a cute vintage looking dress and she wasn't exactly ugly. Chase had seen her around school before, she was one of the girls who got good grades. He slightly envied her but then again, he could never be bothered to revise properly for tests so there was no point hoping... Hearing her apologize, he smiled "Hey don't worry about it, I'm not hurt." his gaze softened "Are you ok? I'm fine but I hope you didn't hurt yourself..." He could almost immediately tell that she was feeling quite awkward and by her blushing, red cheeks, he could also tell that she was embarrassed.

--------Finn reached for Robin's hand as she outstretched it. He tugged on it lightly, accepting her help but not allowing his weight to fall on her. He had large but gentle hands. Once he was up on his feet he patted Robin on the back and only after that did he let go of her hand. He nodded towards Angus in acknowledgement. He never seemed to say much, although it was clear that he had a lot to tell. But Finn was never butting in on other people's business. He would always accept what they would tell him but he never demanded information. Finn didn't have much in common with the other guy, except the fact that for whatever reason Robin enjoyed the company of both. Angus was a loner, and Finn, well, he was the class clown. You can't really say that they are expected to be seen together. Finn was an open book, he was clear as day, he was never able to keep his feelings to himself, his thoughts were all over the place. Opposing him, Angus, couldn't afford muttering a word to anyone about anything. We all have our reasons for being the way we are. As much as he didn't necessarily judge his decision to keep things to himself, Finn couldn't understand him.

"Inside sounds promising" he said a large grin spread from ear to ear. Honestly, he'd prefer waiting around a bit longer outside, maybe he'd come across Alaine by any chance, with he being the primary reason he even went to this party. Even so he'd rather not spend the whole night waiting for her outside when she might not even come at all. He saw her friend Scout around so maybe she'll join later. He and the skater were pretty close, but she seemed that she already had a crowd around her so it might not have been the best time to go say hi. It seemed inevitable to bump into each other later that night so he didn't seem to rush his 'hello's.

She smiled greatfully at his kindness and part of her heavy blush receded. She tried to take a step back to give them both some personal space. "Oh, I'm fine, rea-" As she stepped back, she falter on her high heel and let out a small squeak. Miri put a hand on Chase's shoulder to stabalize herself and looked down at her shoes. "****, I broke a heel..." she muttered, mourning her black Mary Janes-esc heels. She looked back up at Chase and sighed with a blush on her cheeks again. "I'm so sorry, this is like the weirdest first impression," she laughed a little awkwardly, mentally punching herself for embarrassing herself like this, especially in front of a cute guy.

Chase heard her squeak and feeling her hand on his shoulder, he reached out immediately to place his arm behind her, just in case she fell. He chuckled slightly and looked at her smiling "So much for being alright eh? I need to make sure you're actually ok.. You could have really hurt yourself, twice..." He looked down at her broken pair of heels and shrugged, he really didn't care about these sorts of things with girls but seeing how upset she was over her shoes, he took a small breath and put on a comforting expression. "Hey... I don't mind." He smiled "I think you're interesting, kinda cute actually..." He looked thoughtfully at her shoes "I don't see the point in heels, they're just spindly little twigs on the heels of shoes that look like they're made to snap any second. But since one is snapped, you might as well snap the other and make a pair of lower healed shoes..."

She giggled. "Alright then, let's get a drink. That's what I originally came for anyway," she said with a sweet smile. "Then I may take you up on that dancing offer." She looked down at her shoe makeover and shrugged. "It would probably be easier now, I guess." Miri waved her hand for him to come and walked into the kitchen, inspecting the drinks. She was uncharacteristic ally aquatinted with the different mixes and complimenting flavors, so she quickly are a strange seeming concoction and took a sip with a smile. "Mmm..." she hummed and leaned against the counter, looking at Chase.

The edges of my lips tweaked upwards at his comment to my name, still didnt make me like it, though. My gaze dropped down to his lips, porposefully, before lifting my gaze to his eyes as he spoke again, Something about his cologne, I could only catch snippets becuase of all the noise."I actually just found mine at the back of my drawer, it was just a sample, its probably five years old by now." My voice trailed off at the end leading to a small chuckle. My ears were beginning to ring becuase of the music that yelled over everyone. "Do you wanna go sit on the lawn?" My hand motioned to front door and I pointed my right foot towards it. My eyebrows, which were freshly plucked this morning, were raised a fraction of an inch, my caramel tinged eyes questioning him. As I gave him moemnt to answer, I let myself size him up, again.
He wasn't any less attractive than before, if anything, talking to him had made him more attractive. Scanning his hat, I smirked in the slightest bit. Although wearing hats makes guys look like idiots, I gotta give it to Jacob, he made it work in his favor.

Chase smiled at her comment "Nobody is perfect in the world. Anyway, i can't call you clumsy, I'm one of the clumsiest people in the world!" he stood still as she rested her hand on his shoulder for balance as she snapped off the other heel. He smiled as he admired her 'new' shoes "I think they look great..." he said encouragingly. Watching as she hastily removed it, he smiled "Don't worry about it..." he said softly as he returned her smile. She was definitely a shyer type of girl, talking to her was quite different from how he was talking to Vegas earlier. A completely different girl needs a completely different approach. He ran a hand through his hair, he smiled at her "Hey it's a party we're at isn't it? Let's go and do something more intersting, do you want to go grab a drink? Or head out onto the lawn?" with a slightly cheeky glint in his eye he added "Or do you want to dance?" Chase idly scratched the back of his neck "I don't really mind, I'm open to all ideas!"

Jacob took off his hat and felt the cool grass touch his warm hair. Gazing up at the sky, his eyes drifted from constilation to constilation. He turned his head to look over at Ethel. "Well, the night sky is a lot more than what people think it is.." he returned his gaze up to the rotating sky. "Stars are balls of hot gas that aren't actually there anymore. We are pretty much seeing the past. It's... Just amazing how the universe works and how it actually started."

Propping himself on his rump and elbows sideways on his knees, Jacob looked over at Ethel. "Haven't you ever wondered what was here before the universe was born? It's just mind-boggling to me." He looked up at the sky and put his hand under her chin. "Did you see that? Shooting star. A hot ball of ice rocketing a speeds we think is impossible across the night sky." Sighing, he kept looking up at the sky as if it was a new movie that everyone wants to see.
