the young blonde headed girl listened to the idle banter about her location. there was going to be a masquerade. 'great.' she thought idly. classes would be spent listening to girls raving about their dress, and cat fights would break out when two girls had the same dress. victoria found them amusing at best, but more often than not they were annoying. then, the queen of the school arose and spoke loudly, expecting everyone to listen to her. 'celeste needs a prince in shining armour to take her to the dance. do we have any takers? if you're a little shy, you can come and talk to me later.' then she sat, her speech was over. victoria, being in the sour mood she happened to be in, stood and walked over to the table upon gathering her items. she claps as she approaches the table.

"my, my. what a lovely speech you gave, your majesty." she spoke sarcastically. she absolutely despised the plastics and their preppies. "oh, i'm sorry, you were looking for a date to that dance then? i'm sure someone will drop everything just to approach you and ask you for the dance. huh, maybe you'll even get lucky and a guy will dump his girlfriend just for you! see that guy over there? oh he's just so cute!" she mocked them without remorse, tossing her red-tipped hair over her shoulder in a manner quite similar to their own. she scoffed them mockingly, turned on her heel, and stalked off. victoria had never been in such a sour mood. usually she was quite docile and very much a loner, but perhaps the knowledge that her father would be trying to throw her something of a special birthday for her seventeenth birthday had her on edge (if you don't mind, i am going to assume it's maybe just a few days before her birthday), when in reality she would want nothing more than to see her dog give birth and go riding. victoria left the dining hall and sunk to the floor just outside and opened her book. she was now on chapter fifteen of twenty. she was so close to finishing the book, but it was so boring...

nirvana brought both her hands back to her tight spot, not wanting to cause any more accidents. what might have happened if she had accidentally dropped his phone on the floor? her bright blue eyes would've probably grown the size of a walnut and she would've dashed out of the cafeteria due to how embarrassed she would've gotten. but luckily she only moved it a slight bit.

hearing the guy's words, nirvana glanced up with her eyes almost looking as if they were going to shot poison at him any second now. how dare he call her a peasant? especially when it had been an accident from christ's sake. he didn't even know her well enough and she did not have any clue as to who he was anyway. "Excuse you?" she spoke, her eyes still filled with poison to show that she had not sound his little joke quite entertaining. unlike ninety three percent of the girl's in this school, nirvana actually lived to have others respect her and not just use her and run away. mainly the reason as to why she had only been out with a guy once in her life but then he cheated on her and blah blah blah. she wasn't going to let some random guy go around and call her names that had nothing to do with her. rage was racing through her blood as she managed to close her book and shove it inside her leather bag, if he wanted to keep about with his little attitude than she for sure wasn't staying in this table for long.

❝ I'd have to say I'm in love with f o o d.
There's just no room in my h e a r t

- Ellie

Elizabeth only just glanced down at Finn's notebook. He was drawing something, but he stuffed it away hurriedly before Ellie could see. It was probably private or something, so she wouldn't have looked anyways, at least, not without Finn's permission. Ellie grinned at him crookedly, noting how uncomfortable and rushed he appeared to be. Ellie knew that Finn disliked when people showed up suddenly, which is basically what she had just done. There was no time to feel guilty though, because Elizabeth wanted to eat.
Sitting down across from Finn, Elizabeth wiggled her eyebrows jokingly before taking a huge bite out of her pizza, nearly burning the roof of her mouth on the hot cheese. Wincing slightly, Elizabeth continued eating, unfazed, even as the steaming sauce stung her tongue a few times. Scarfing down her pizza, Ellie regretted after she was done with the cheesy goodness that she probably should have eaten slower and savored the taste. Their high school had surprisingly good food, especially the pizza and fries. Speaking of fries, Ellie attacked the pile of curly fries next, eating voraciously.
She was nearly halfway down when Finn began teasing her about the fact that she was now sitting with him and not her usual crowd. There was a lot of truth behind his joke, prickles of guilt shooting into Elizabeth's heart. However, she found Finn sweet and funny, so she laughed willingly, wiping her hands on a napkin. Tapping her finger against her chin, she assumed a superior sort of look, sniffing mightily and narrowing her eyes haughtily. Drawing herself up to her full height while sitting, her back straight as a pin, Elizabeth said in a high British accent, "Well, every good queen must greet her subjects at least once in a while. Spreads the popularity among the peasants," she returned his tease with a wink, popping another curly fry into her mouth. Shrugging, Elizabeth offered a small smile to Finn while saying in her regular pleasant alto, "Besides, as much as I love them, the populars can get a little annoying, especially the plastics. The preppies are normally nicer and friendlier, which is why I chose to be a preppie and not a plastic. I'm not really a queen bee sort of type," Elizabeth stated lightly, chewing thoughtfully. "Also, there's no more room at the table. Not to mention the girls stare at me when I eat. I'd rather be judged than starve, though, if you ask me." Ellie shrugged again while consuming the rest of her curly fries surprisingly quickly. It was true. Elizabeth ate like a pig, but still had a healthy body because of all the hours she spent at the gym. She wasn't stick-skinny like some of the popular girls, but she had nice curves and a flat stomach, which she was pretty proud of.
Polishing off her tray, Elizabeth picked up her soda and took a few large sips, her eyes watering a little bit like they always did when she drank soda. It was the carbonated water, mostly, that gave soda the sting in her mouth.

He watched as others quickly joined the table as it was filling up. He gave Celeste a look over, noting she wasn't in his grade. Probably a junior he noted. "No problem cutie." he winked being flirtatious. He caught a bit of Fay and Celeste's conversation and became alert at the mention of a ball. He couldn't help but grin like a fool. To him this was a perfect chance. He wasn't blind to the fact Arabella liked someone else, but maybe if he asked her she would at least consider his offer. He almost clapped when she admitted to not already having a date. He would have to do something special to ask her, but for now he could always plant the idea of them together in her head.

"A ball huh, I don't have a date either Arabella," he chirped in directing it straight at her. Celeste was pretty and all but Arabella had already caught his eye and it would take a lot of effort on her behalf to change his mind otherwise. He munched away on his chips, waiting for her or someone else to make a comment on his suggestion. If she shot him down he would be surprised. It wasn't like he wasn't up there in popularity. Not to be to hot-headed, but he could easily get a girl at this very moment if he wanted. Of course he didn't want to though.

---------Finn tried to hold down a chuckle as he lowered his head the slightest, going with the whole peasant scheme and looked up at her with large puppy eyes, addressing her superiority. If there ever was a girl who loved to eat then that was Elizabeth, she could eat whatever and whenever, she was rarely full. When his father invited her to dinner over at their house she could have easily eaten a double of Finn's plate. Having finished his curly fries the gamer was left to watch the girl devour her meal in an un-lady like fashion. And being Finn, that was what he liked about her. She was not ashamed who she was and was not afraid of anyone's opinion. When she began talking about the plastics and the various topics of conversation Finn glanced to the other end of the table to make sure that no one was eavesdropping on their conversation as if Ellie was telling some kind of big national secret. He leaned over the table, his arms folded and elbows careful not to tip of neither book nor plate that were set on opposite corner. Just as she finished talking and Finn was getting ready to speak and reply to her there came Fay, clearly with a purpose. Most of the students' chatter quickly died out, shifting their full attention towards their lord and savior like the obedient little peasants they were. She announced what she had and sat down back to her sit and let the noise atmosphere reestablish itself between the dinning hall's walls.

But however she was, he gave Finn hope. Not in the 'she gave me a reason to live' kind of way, more of a 'maybe she will say yes' manner. And no, he wasn't thinking about Fay, she already had a queue of young man begging for her highness's hand or at least attention. He had his mind set on another girl, slightly lower in the all so important ranks. "Should I ask her to go to the masquerade with me?" Finn said enthusiastically, thinking of none else but Scout Kyles, the girl he has been trying to speak to for the past few year the least. He looked at Elizabeth expectantly, waiting for an answer or reaction of any sort. He told Elizabeth everything, like he did to most of he friends. He didn't like keeping anything from anyone. It was no secret that Finn was crushing on Scout, most of the school knew about it and Finn couldn't help but wonder if the girl knew as well? Finn leaned back on his chair and picked up the pencil he had left by the plate and began drumming on the table using the bottom of it and his index finger on his other hand, he had bitten down the bottom of his lips and his gaze was following the preppie's every move. He could tell that she didn't like Scout, with her being a wannabee [whatever that was supposed to mean] and Ellie being well.. Ellie.

feeling sad, but putting on a smile

❝ I'd have to say I'm in love with f o o d.
There's just no room in my h e a r t

- Ellie

Elizabeth was quite enjoying herself with Finn. After all, the two were close, good friends since they were young children. Ellie was very relaxed around the gamer, but then again, Elizabeth was pretty much relaxed around everyone. Laughing when Finn played along with her royalty act, she couldn't help but be reminded of a small, cuddly puppy when Finn looked at her. The smile continued to grow as Finn looked around their table, as if to make sure no one was listening to them talk, which, knowing Finn, he probably was doing. Running a hand through her thick, messily wavy hair, Elizabeth toyed with her bottle of Dr. Pepper, taking an occasional sip.
Elizabeth was just about to ask Finn if he wanted to go the masquerade with her, strictly as friends, when he said something that made her choke on her soda. Coughing and wrinkling her nose, Ellie covered her face with her hands, laughing at her own idiocy. It wasn't an amused laugh, though, rather humorless, to be honest. Peeking through her fingers at Finn, she finally recovered enough from her soda-choking incident to put on a normal face again.
It was really no surprise that Finn was planning on asking Scout. After all, the boy had been infatuated with Freckles for as long as Ellie could remember, which wasn't actually very long since Elizabeth had a horrible memory. Mostly everyone knew, because Finn could be a bit of an open book sometimes, and tended to tell his friends everything, especially Elizabeth. She could give "feminine" advice, being one of his female buddies.
"Yeah, sure, go for it," Elizabeth said without conviction. It actually came out a little bit sad, as far as encouragement went. Sighing, Elizabeth steeled herself and put on a fake smile. Ellie could pull off any emotion. She was a good actress, and she put those acting skills to use in the real world, able to convince others that she was the same old happy Ellie, even when she really wasn't. "She'll probably say yes," Elizabeth said persuasively, grinning at Finn. She poked his shoulder gently. "You've liked her for so long, you might as well take a shot sooner or later."

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe all the characters are in lunch, sitting in their separate cliques. ^^ I'm sure there are plenty of people who are still open.
Also, sorry for double-posting, but I didn't want to edit it into my rp post in case fallen would've missed it. :u

- The girl narrowed her eyes and picked up her books. Her anger was a bit… Scary, to be honest. She reminded me of Jenna, in some ways. Nonetheless, I wasn't phased by the bookworm's dark expression. Sure, it was a bit of a fresh breath to have her not laugh or runaway in tears. Challenge Accepted. I looked over at Sally (Sam) and half smirked, showing my white teeth. "Oh see, now I pissed her off." My gaze returned to the uh… Angry one. The smirk on my lips never once fading.
I looked down at the half-eaten green apple in my hand, still smirking, and still thinking of something clever to say. "Look, Sweety, It was just a joke. No need to take it so seriously…" My blue eyes gently scanned what half of her body I could see. They didn't rake against her like some pedophile- that'd be… Great. "You can drop my phone anytime you like." I winked at her, but couldn't contain the laughter long enough. A chuckle made itself heard and I shook my head. "I guess I should clarify again… Just kidding… Unless you're into that sort of thing, of course." I looked up at her carefully, almost nervous that she might hit me the way Jenna did whenever I acted like this.
