the sun began it's arise over the horizon, and kimberleigh poked her head up. the first few rays of the morning sun reached over the horizon just to blind her. scowling, leigh sighed and began to pack up her stuff. she was working on a potion that can only be made in the minutes before sunrise. it was a potion that her mother had been attempting to make when she was killed. carefully putting some form of saran wrap over the cauldron, the syrupy liquid inside quickly cooled. slinging her backpack filled with ingredients, utensils, and potion books pver her shoulder, she picked up the heavy cauldron with one hand like it weighed nothing. exiting the little burrow she had made in the bushes, she stepped onto the forest trail and headed back the way to the coven home. the coven home was a little two story house abandoned many years ago. her great-great grandmother, the original head of this coven, had found it on this tiny mountain out in the middle of nowhere. leigh knew for certain that there were other supernatural beings around in the same area, but leigh choose not to try and find them because when she's not doing coven business, she was caring for libby. libby was getting old enough to where she needed proper witch training.

soon the coven home came in sight. it wasn't colorful on the outside, it was meant to look abandoned. but on the inside, there was so much diversity you couldn't even tell that it was the same house. everyone in the coven (currently four) had their own room. all from different cultures and societies, everything was unique. the first room you walk into is the living room. connected to that is the kitchen. next to the kitchen is the dining room, and up against the wall is the stairs going up to the second floor. basil's room was on the immediate left of the stairs. then down the hallway a little was lucinda's room on the right. then there was a bathroom on the left, then there was an empty room, soon to be libby's or if someone new joined the coven. at the end of the hall is kimberleigh's room, which she currently shared with libby. leigh tiptoed into the house and shut the door quietly behind her as not to wake anyone up. she silently walked upstairs and into her bedroom where she jumped into bed, still wearing the morning's clothes.

name: dafari marrok
age: twenty one. / gender: male.
species: human / rank: werewolf hunter.
tagged: none/open.

As the sun peeked over the horizon, Dafari could be found sitting of the railing of his apartments. The rent was cheap so he didn't really care for the lacking of luxury; in fact, the only reason Dafari chose this place because it was secluded and near the forest itself. Surprisingly, Dafari found the forest most comforting and made him feel at ease. The young male kept to himself and didn't really interact with others, therefore he had the lacking of people you'd call friends. There were a few people he knew but they weren't anywhere close enough to call them his friends. Perhaps it's because their personalities near matched well; Dafari was reversed and quiet while everyone else seemed to be perky and loud. Dafari didn't mind loud people, but people minded Dafari's quiet nature.

The sun had already began to go to work, heating the cold earth and changing the darkness to light. Always up before the sun, bright and early, Dafari didn't even use his alarm clock. It was useless to him, why he still owned the thing was beyond him. Dafari ran a hand through his braids and pushed them out of his face, taking a band from his wrist and tying his hair back. The hunter stood up and began to make his way towards th forest. Reaching into his pocket he grabbed his blade, this was merely for show. It was something his parents gave him before he left, he took pleasure in keeping it around. It wouldn't do much with killing werewolves though. Distance was key when t came to that, overconfidence is the number one killer when it comes to battling monsters. You couldn't be too confident when you came face to face with one of them, you'd be more prone to making mistakes and again, get you killed.

Dafari walked to the clearing of the woods, touching the cold bark of the trees as he passed by; the chirps of the birds growing louder, he watched his step as the weather was changing causing the leaves to fall and become crisp. The crunch of the dead leaves would note anyone nearby of his presence, though he wasn't hunting right now. Dafari was searching for any signs that someone or something went by recently.

Waking up the young girl stretched and yawned she was woken by the bright sunshine, she examined the area and stretched again and sighed I guess it's time to wake up She sighed in disappointment and started to stand up from her bed she started to think of anyone was even up so she slowly went outside her room thinking no-one was awake. She went to the bathroom first before even going somewhere but she only checked her hair, after that the girl slowly ran to the kitchen to get some water out the tap as she was very thirsty water, the best in the morning she said quietly and started to slowly drink the cup of water.

At first glance, Bailey appears to be your typical young adult. Her outgoing, fun and sassy persona seems to deter others from the possibility that her profession included hunting. Not the usual kind that involves animals, although they could be classified as such by mortal humans. No, and as it was constantly being drilled into her head as she grew up, what she killed was worse - much worse. A unique killing machine; a blood-thirsty monster; a vampire.

Having a family of vampire hunters that date back to who knows when meant that Bailey didn't have what would be considered a 'normal' childhood. Not that you will find her complaining - she rather enjoyed growing up with her family. After all, their professions mean their lives are far from boring. There is no use in lying though - as soon as her father knew he was to have a daughter the man was slightly worried. The first thought that popped into his head when he pictured having a little girl involved ponytails, tea parties and pink [lots of pink]. Not exactly the makings of a new vampire hunter, however he managed to persuade his wife to give her a more masculine name [probably in the hopes that it would make her less girly]. Thankfully for him, Bailey turned out far from your typical girly girl, developing a love or sarcasm, a sassy attitude and a knack for fighting. It was apparent that she was born to become a vampire hunter [quite literally], and it was soon clear that she was going to become a skilled hunter. As as tradition within the Parker family, upon the arrival of your 18th birthday you were granted independence and allowed to venture into the world alone, see it through your own eyes and of course, hunt vampires.

So that's how Bailey ended up living in run down motels. She was constantly on the move, and whenever she found a trace of possible vampire activity she went to investigate. This has been her life for the past 3 months, and she was sure that this time she had hit the jackpot, and was close to the nest of the bloodsucking beasts she hunted.

Bailey's eyes fluttered open as a sigh escaped her lips. She would have gone back to sleep, except the mattress she was on consisted of a manner of uncomfortable lumps that made it impossible to do so. forcing herself into a sitting position, she took a few moments to collect herself, which included checking that the knife was still under her pillow, before pushing herself into a standing position "Just another day in paradise" She murmured, stretching as she did before proceeding to her suitcase [cleverly positioned on the couch]. Her clothing collection consisted of just an array of singlets and pants. Bailey found it unnecessary to have anything else, as hunting is a dirty work, not to mention unpaid, so she ended up going through them rather quickly therefore resorting to the cheap versions. Pulling out a grey singlet and long skinny jeans, she headed to the bathroom where she took a shower before changing. Looking stylish today she commented silently, a smirk creeping onto her lips. After drying her hair, she pulled on a pair of boots before grabbing her keys and heading out the door, where her Ute stood patiently waiting. The sight of the car brought a smile to her lips "Ready for work?" She asked it quietly as she hopped in, started the engine and took off.

About five minutes later Bailey had arrived at her destination; the local pub. Why was she there? Well, if anyone knew anything about strange happenings in ton they would be there - or at least drunk enough to tell her. Ensuring that her ID was in hand [she often got stopped as she was only 18] she hopped out of the car and strolled towards the door, stopping only to let her eyes adjust to the dim lighting before heading in, her eyes scanning for potential candidates as she did.

┗━━━━━━━━━━┛

Will Frey began his day just as the sun began it's slow trek against the backdrop of the sky. It still clung to the earth and made a soft orange glow wash over his porcelain skin. He sat quietly in the forest, perched in a tree, in order to be exposed to this sight. The vampire splayed his body along a thick branch of an oak, absently fiddling with a leaf as he watched the sunrise. His thoughts were in a ceaseless hum of disarray despite the calming scenery. All Will could think of was his father and clan. No doubt they were tracking him, and most likely they'd find him, no matter how remote he made himself. The nineteen year old traveled all the way from New York to live in this new clan, one where he found himself comfortably as a healer. It was stupid and reckless to run away, but that night was so charged with energy and emotion he snapped. Will simply isn't cut out to be a ruthless, blood-thirsty killer. His hands were made for healing rather than combat; his general persona too soft for the Frey's. He knew when his family finds him he'll be brutally broken into an emotionless machine, one that can further the Frey clan. It was inevitable. But for now, Will would relish in the time he had away from his life, and watch the rising sun.

Will sat on that branch for the rest of the time it took for the sun to rise enough for it to be socially acceptable for him to be awake. The vampire could be quite restless and usually spent the dawn tossing and turning, all the while trying to squash down his thoughts. He often took walks to alleviate the constant stress and worry. The sun's rays lightly kissed his skin, which slightly irritated it. Sun could not kill his species, but it could definitely do some damage if there was prolonged exposure. It's the same as any other irish person without a bottle of sunscreen, except instead of a red burn it turned the flesh black. Will hopped off the branch and landed on the hollow forest ground with a soft thud. He started whistling a merry tune as he strode back in the direction of the clan house. No doubt they'd be up by now, or at least the leader.

The vampire thought of his fellow clan members with a grimace. They were certainly an interesting bunch. The leader, Jun, probably didn't like him much. Will has a hard time adjusting to being a subordinate and following orders after his upbringing. There's a bit of a power struggle between the two, but it's completely unintentional. Then their is Xander, the co-leader, a decent guy. The last two were the fighters, Winter and Ashylana. Winter intimidated him quite a bit, and if he was honest Ashylana annoyed him with her childish ways. He didn't have a close friend in this clan, or one at all. It was alright with him, though. Will knew he was like a ticking time bomb, and one day he'd go off when he'd be taken away, and destroy everything in his wake. Building up a relationship with him would most likely end in misery.

Will swung his arms as he trudged through the forest, oblivious to the sights and sounds around him. It was quite dangerous to be out alone and not paying attention, yet the thought didn't cross his mind. The healer could be quite ditsy for a smart guy. The dangers were around every corner in this town. Werewolves, witches, and hunters for each group. He knew the vampire hunters had a particularly large group. Naively, he figured he could take them on if they attacked. Will excelled at fighting, though he hated it. But hunters had specific weapons built to take vamps down. Any one could be utterly powerless. He tried not to think of the possibility and kept walking along until the clan house loomed ahead. The house is tall and large and dark, yet blends in nicely with the forest like any other human-filled house would.

This is what he called home, and it is the truest sense of the word he has ever had.

    BASIL ROBINS
    ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░

    [ black magic apprentice ★ nineteen ★ tagged : ]

basil was in an excellent mood.

so he had been rudely awakened by some sort of obnoxious chirping (birds, every time), and he'd virtually rolled out of bed, forehead bruised from the fall and to top it all off, he'd stubbed his toe against the oaken supports of his bed. but any and all forms of sarcasm aside, it was near impossible to ignore blades of sunlight slicing the otherwise murky room into bright segments. and with the sunlight came promises of a cloudless heat and the faraway humming of bored cicadas. it put him, despite his bruised forehead and wounded toe, in a pleasant mood. and with pleasantry came mischief. toeing on battered sneakers and pulling an equally battered sweater over his head, a flurry of white curls is all that's visible as he struggles to put on the knitwork. with a swing in his step and, if you knew him well enough, you'd know the quiet humming was just a subtle signal that screamed trouble.

the door falls slightly ajar with a creak, and basil pokes his head out from the flaking paints and the messy room. quietly, ever so quietly (it's always quiet with him. not so much quiet perhaps, but sly), he slips into the hallways. their little coven was a hidden wonderland tucked into the outskirts of forestry and foliage. seasoned inside and out, the scent of musky oak is replaced with the mystical aromas of early morning as he takes the stairs two at a time, leaving this little constitution of oak and age.

basil always left early and returned late.

and if you ever caught a glimpse of him, if he ever slowed down long enough for you to ask why, he'd smile and say, "we can't rely on those uncomplicated bonds." and then he'd be gone.

the soil beneath his feet is moist with dew and it's quiet, so empty and quiet. but basil won't be fooled; he's aware of the diversity in these woods. vamps, werewolves, hunters; it was a godsend that witch hunters were few, and the little there were were innately incapable of differentiating human and not so human. otherwise, his nature would get him killed in an instant. he wasn't fond of hunters either way, he had good friends in werewolf packs and vamp hoards. his mind takes him to worlds far away, but his feet take him to a bubbling stream. giggling, laughing, mocking, plenty of experiments were done besides this impish body of water. for basil, with spells and symbols came undenial trouble. he was not morally right enough to use these skills for anything besides foolish pranks and cruel experiments. besides, he met plenty of new people here; it was more of a meeting point than anything.

The co-leader of the vampires stood quietly in his room, his eyes watching the outside world as it began its day. He was not much of a morning person, or a day person in general. He would never understand why people actually enjoyed being out in the day. It was an obnoxious time and the sun was completely bothersome. He let out an unpleasant noise, one that would show anyone that he wasn't particularly excited to be up today. He wasn't much of a sleeper, not even during the day. Of course he would always take a few naps here and there, but he was much too busy to waste his time with things like sleep.

Xander made his way out of his room and towards the kitchen. No one was there, which was normal. Most were either sleeping or out and about. That or they were being completely unsocial, which wasn't abnormal either. Claws clicked against the floor behind Xander, casing him to turn around to seek out the cause of the noise. Of course it was no werewolf, but instead his trusty canine companion Shi. He gave the doberman a warm smile, as warm as Xander could make it, as he crouched on the ground and put a hand on the dog's head. He gave Shi a nice long pet, then stood up without saying a thing. He moved towards the fridge and look inside, though all of a sudden he wasn't as hungry. He let out a soft sigh before closing the refrigerator door and turning his attention back to Shi. He crossed his arms and stared at the dog for a moment before saying "Sometimes being a vampire gets a little boring. Lonely even. But then i remember that i would never ask to be a human again. Who wants to be a weak little helpless mortal when you could be what i am today." Shi wagged his little stubby tail at Xander's words, almost like he was agreeing with his owner.

Ashy Taylor

Ashy yawned and rubbed her eyelids. The sun was just rising and slowly began to bathe her in it's lights-it was then she realised that it actually hurts pretty badly.Yelping, she flung herself out of bed and onto the floor, landing with a thump."Ow...Why does sun hurt?Gah,I hate you sun!"She grabbed her hairbrush and flung it out the window, watching as it flew into the sunrise. She then also remembered that it was her hairbrush, something she needed.Shrugging she sighed."I needed a new one anyway."

Picking herself off the floor, she then picked out some clothes and threw them on before walking outside, not before falling and tripping over her own feet.Landing on her but,she picked herself up,for the second time that morning and walked outside, only to see a certain somebody. Will Frey the healer. She thought of him as a big brother, what he thought of her,she was too lazy to find out.
"Will! Will! Will!Over here!"She said bounding up to him.Her eyes were closed and she accidently bounded past him and straight into a tree. She completely forgot about Will and climbed the tree to the very top before jumping off it and landing on her feet, holding a squirrel in her hands.
"I saved you,squirrel!"
Then there was only screams as the squirrel began to attack her.
(Well, that failed...Don't worry next time I'll be better!)

Thomas Anderson Male ▪ Werewolf ▪ Fighter ▪ Tagged;; Demetri
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Thomas woke with a start, a light shiver running down his spine. The werewolf sat up a little confused. He didn't remember dreaming, and everything seemed fairly peaceful. He threw his legs over the side of the bed and stepped over to his dresser. Digging out a half decent outfit he got dressed then took a moment to make sure everything was right. A dark grey t-shirt and a pair of jeans hugged his frame bringing a smile to his face. At times he could be a little vain, but that was something he kept to himself. Stepping out into the hallway he closed his door behind him. As he went around the corner he saw Demetri standing at the windows and gazing outside. The fighter was about a year older than their leader, yet had the upmost respect for him. It had been hard on Thomas when he was first brought into the pack, and there were things Demetri had taught him that made controlling his shifts much easier. "Good morning." he greeted the leader as he headed straight for the kitchen. Thomas scrounged around before irritable growling. Nothing in the kitchen seemed good enough.

After prying the squirrel off her face and giving up on talking to Will, she decided to take a walk in the forest, only to give up on that idea too and finally decided to get some food.Or just to eat something. So,walking into the kitchen, she yawned again and stretched, falling onto a very hard body as she tripped over something."Ah!Sorry,I'm sorry...Oh hey Xander!Oh...Hey Xander....Sorry I fell on you...Sorry I tripped over you,Shi!"She had opened her eyes now,to see a stone faced Xander and a angry looking Shi.She liked Xander a lot and wanted to be close friends but tripping over his dog and falling onto him probably didn't help her to get him to like her...
