Natasha parked her black impala, sitting in it looking at the retreat building. She sighed, she had wanted to come to the retreat but being here now was making her nervous. She popped the trunk, getting out and grabbing her handbag and her two suitcases. She walked into the building, she noticed a few people seemed to be on the grounds already. She gave a small smile as she walked up to the women at the desk, stating her name before asking which cabin she was in. She was handed the key to cabin 3, I hope my cabin mate isn't there yet, so I have time to get comfortable before I've to meet her. She thought as she carried her bags to the cabin, unlocking the door and headed up the stairs dropping her bags on the floor near the bed. She sat on the bed, wondering if she should unpack first or get out and about.
She decided to unpack first, unzipping her suitcases and filling the draws before she picked up her handbag and headed out the door, walking down the path towards the center of the grounds.

Delilah watched as a rather pretty girl with dark hair and eyes walked passed her and into the cabin. The girl didn't looked too happy. Delilah hadn't seen her come in a car, which suggested that she walked all that way. Delilah leaned on the railing and overlooked the fire pit in the middle of the circle of cabins. She was thinking about her morning. If there was nothing important to happen, she would probably go out exploring. She would take her backpack with a flashlight and other items just encase she temporarily got lost, and she would wander until her heart was content.

Delilah's eyes widened when the girl came out again, shoving Delilah to the side. Delilah stood where she had been pushed too for a moment. The girl didn't seem entirely okay. Delilah was surprised that the girl had acted so angrily. "What was that for?!" Delilah asked, crossing her arms tightly. Delilah hadn't even said anything until now. If they were going to spend their whole time at this camp arguing and being angry at each other, Delilah would rather sleep in a tent in the woods. Delilah sighed, looking around. She wasn't that mad actually, she just wanted to appear tougher than she really was. Delilah knew that the girls main intent was probably not to fight. Maybe the girl had had a rough morning. Maybe there was trouble at home? Delilah took a seat in one of the rocking chairs on the porch, her arms still crossed.

Alibi looked back at the girl and snorted, how could she take a barbie with its armed crossed seriously? Honestly, she didn't care if her assumptions were dead wrong, but this girl did look like a pre-Madonna and so far acted like a 5 year old. So what if she had pushed her out of the way? She was after all standing right in her way, and a rock had a higher probability of moving in time then she did. She heard her whine something, her voice may not have been a whine but anyone she didn't like had a whiny voice to her.

When she saw movement out of the corner of the eye she finally saw her moving to the porch swing, which was a little late in her opinion. So standing up, she slowly glided up to the steps and in front of this girl who was now sitting, her arms still folded. Clearing her throat she let the words come out loudly like a menacing bark,
Maybe if you learned how to move out of peoples ways I wouldn't have to push you out of my way. So remember to stay out of my way barbie, okay?
. When the last word rolled off her tongue she stepped back, hearing a slight echo in the air. It had been louder than she intended, the others would probably hear her. However, she just felt a swell of pride. It felt good to stand up for herself, especially without the help of the pack.

Vincent groaned loudly as he rolled out of bed. Today was the day he
was shipping himself off to a year round camp. He was down with the
idea when it had first come up within his pack, but when he learned
that there could possibly be other residents, he started to dislike the
idea more than he hated avocado. And boy, did he ever hate avocado.
Vin tried to put a skip in his step as he walked into his bathroom. Nope.
That wasn't happening. With reluctance and a slow pace, he threw on
a dark blue button up shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans. He ran his
hand through his black hair and ruffled it up a bit. His deep brown eyes
curved upwards as he smiled at his own reflection. Despite feeling upset
about the day, he tried to find some sort of excitement from it. He
was ready to go in no time.

Vincent arrived at the camp in an old Chevy Silverado. It's black paint
was dirty from the occasional mud hole that he would hit on purpose.
He grabbed his two sport bags from the box of the vehicle and started
his way towards the front desk area. He eyed the lady closely as she
handed a key to him with an six stamped on it. She handed him a
brochure, but he turned it down with a wave of his hand. He turned
away from the front desk and started to walk towards the general area
of the cabins. When he got to the circle of them, he groaned under his
breath. It seemed a whole lot of people had already arrived. Vin
continued on his way towards cabin six, and when he went to open the
door, he could tell someone else was already there. Great, a roommate,
he thought. Walking inside, he peered around the room and shut the
door quickly behind him. He stepped further into the cabin and saw a
young man about his age unpacking his bag. He bit his tongue to prevent
himself from making a witty remark. Instead, he simply made his way
over to his bed. Vincent started to unpack, but after just a few shirts,
he gave up with a shrug.

Vin headed towards the exit of the cabin, and on his way past his room
mate, he gave him a quick look. "My names Vincent." His voice was
scratchy and somewhat aggressive. Before he could hear a reply, he
turned out of the cabin. He walked onto the hard ground, stopped, and
looked around. Maybe that was a bit aggressive, he thought with a fast
      shrug.

Caine had only finished unpacking his more personal belongings and had just started on arranging his clothes into the wardrobe when he heard the front door open and close again. Cabin-mate! The nineteen year old rushed to the door leading to his room and only got a glance of the new guy before he disappeared into his own bedroom. 'So much for hellos, then...' Caine muttered to himself, pulling an overly surprised facial expression. He continued to unpack his clothes when he heard footsteps. 'Finally come to make an appearance?' Caine thought to himself.
'My name's Vincent.' came a voice very suddenly. Woah. At least he gets to the point. The guy - Vincent - seemed somewhat flustered if that was the right word? He left the cabin without another word. Caine smirked and followed him out. He joined Vincent out on the porch. 'And my name's Caine,' he grinned, 'A hello would be nice, you know. People tend to use formal greetings when meeting for the first time, that is if they want to make a good first impression.' Caine remarked, leaning down onto the fencing surrounding part of the porch, even though it was slightly damp. 'Nervous?' Caine looked up to the other man for a reaction. He was always a bit much to handle on first meetings, and some people didn't appreciate his snarky remarks, but something told him this guy had thick skin.

Caine was interrupted in his train of thought by some words being exchanged by two girls. And it didn't seem particularly friendly. He hadn't seen what had happened, but leaned farther over the porch to see what was happening. 'Girls!' he called, not moving in his position where he stood, 'What are you two pretty ladies arguing over? Can't be that bad, can it?' he crossed his legs into a casual position. He knew he sounded a bit cocky or something, and he knew it wasn't his business, but can't help a guy being curious, can you?

Vincent scrunched his face when he heard his roommate step out of
the cabin. He turned towards the guy, who called himself Caine, and
nodded as he spoke. He shrugged when he had finished speaking and
he tilted his head to the side. "I guess you could call it nervousness,"
he said, his voice a lot more relaxed than it had been before. Vin
wasn't really nervous, he was just a little bit concerned. Concerned
about what? Accidentally shifting in front of someone and possibly
ripping their throat out. He had a very feral wolf side, and it was
quite hard to control his instinct.

Vincent stood patiently when he heard a fellow pack mate, Alibi,
start yelling at a human girl. He turned towards the situation, but
before he could head over there and figure it out, Caine left to save
the day. He growled in slight frustration at the human male as he
looked around for some other form of entertainment. Vin spotted a
young woman sitting by her lonesome on the porch of cabin number
two. He eyed were quickly, taking in her brown hair and petite
frame. He decided to leave her be, for he didn't really want to get
himself stuck in a conversation with a human girl. So instead he
stood out in the cluster of cabins looking like a fool.

      HEATHER ↴

      xxxxxxthe adventurer
      ───────────────────────────────────
      | title adventurer | age twenty | species human | crush none | tags calix, alec

heather had spent a short time shuffling through the closet and drawers of the room she had chosen, stuffing her clothes wherever she could fit them. her sea-blue eyes shifted over the numerous outfits, most of them just sweaters, skinny jeans or leggings and a small stack of sweatpants. she was actually quite excited to just meet everyone, and to harass her twin but that could wait. she hadn't really a done a great job on putting her clothes away, it was somewhat rushed and messy but honestly, who cared? the blonde pushed herself up from the floor and walked over to the window. she noticed fairly easily that this window was missing a screen, how safe. heather shoved the window the rest of the way open and shoved her torso through the opening, giving her brother and his lifelong best friend, calix, a quick wave. when she felt alec had noticed her waving, she stepped away from the window and walked down to the porch where she sat cross-legged on the chipped white rocking chair.

she had no idea what to do now, she wanted to do something to keep her busy but had already finished putting her clothes away. heather shrugged it off, it didn't matter really. maybe she'd try to meet new people or go talk to calix and alec, or even better she could go on a walk. that's what she'd do. she raised herself from the chair and picked her sweater up off the cedar wood. she wasn't sure if anyone would notice, but it wouldn't be a long walk anyway. she stepped away from the cabin, her boots squishing into the wet ground, her feet sticking in the mud as she walked further into the woods. she prayed for some dry ground, it was getting harder to keep her boots from sticking. being in the woods felt right. the dark green pine trees, heavy foliage, and sweet smell of rain flooding her senses. it was wonderful out here. she was admittedly cold out here, but she loved it anyway. heather's hand lifted to brush her bangs behind her ear.

her blonde hair stood out against the dark surroundings, she was practically a walking beacon. a target almost. that's how she viewed herself, a target ready to be taken out. stupid, yes, but she always felt watched? also stupid, she knew that as well. it was just a feeling she had ever since she was a child, one of those things where you just felt followed or something. not like a ghost, but just something. alec always told her it was their mom and dad watching over them, but she felt like it was perhaps more. once again shrugging off the odd feeling, she continued to walk, looking up at the blanket of fog that had formed halfway up the trees, right about where the moss began. it was beautiful to say the least, all the colors and just being out in the wild. one with nature. her mother always said she was something of a wild child, she always told her how she'd never wanted to stay indoors. that was still true to the day.

[ abelia calypso dulcia ] ⊱ the selfless

Postby nimrod. » Sat Aug 22, 2015 12:45 pm

ABELIAxDULCIA
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
role ; the selfless xxxxxxxxx tagged ; vincent xxxxxxxxx feeling ; curious

Abelia’s attention always had a great difficulty with settling on one, let alone few things. Her gaze attentively following various individuals, she raised a brow ever so slightly as she noticed an outburst between two young women a few cabins down from her, watching with slight amusement in her gaze, wondering if the two roommates would get over this silly dispute. She gave a soft yawn, growing bored as some boy stepped in, a haughty air about him as he inquired what the two ladies were arguing over, rolling her eyes to herself, wondering what it was that made some men so indecent they reached out for the most fragile women. The thought brought a slight frown upon her beautiful face, wishing that it wasn’t so natural for individuals to target those that they find to be in a misfortunate state. Of course, she didn’t know Caine by any means, quickly reminding herself not to be so judgmental towards others. A large part of Abelia being who she was is that the girl is extremely open and understanding, always ensuring to closely evaluate all styles of life. In her mind, morals are all predetermined, and something that should be left up to each individual to decide on their own. With that thought in mind, her gaze once more fell upon the tall, handsome fellow she had caught interest in beforehand, chewing on her lower lip softly as she looked away, noticing he appeared to be looking towards her. Telling herself not to be such a coward and enjoy herself as she most typically does, she stood from her place on the steps, brushing off her pants in case there might be any debris that clung to the jean material. Glancing around for one last opportunity of meeting her future roommate, she sighed as yet no one still had joined her. Abelia was not one to be pleased with a lack of company, and immediately she focused back in on the male in which had captured her attention since his arrival in the campsite. Running a hand through her long hair, moving a few stray strands off of her face, she approached him, having to tilt her head back slightly in order to meet his gaze, though finding it to be quite worthwhile, his eyes were simply captivating. “Are you alright?” Abelia almost practically blurted out, a petite hand reaching out, resting on his forearm, an attentive brow raised slightly, showing her earnest concern. She was extremely caring with anyone and everyone, and the aura she felt from him did not feel pleasant. “Come, how about we get away from the bustle?” she suggested softly, using the touch of her hand on his arm to coax him after her as she made her way towards a faint trail that lead away from the circle of cabins, glancing back to him to ensure he was following. Although she didn’t feel the most talkative at the moment, she felt a strong need to try and form some sort of a connection with anyone here, being as unfortunately, she felt slightly left out from all that was occurring. She knew it wouldn’t take her long to get to know the others, but it always helped her to feel more confident once she had a friend at her side.

The two made their way into the dense forest, Abelia turning to look back to him, walking backwards as she was about to request his name, her eyes widened as her heel caught on an obstacle on the forest floor, a soft oof heard as her rear hit the dirt beneath her. Immediately her face flushed red, looking up to him with practical puppy eyes as though begging him to try and forget the moment for sake of her humility. Taking a moment to fully take in what had happened, she used her left arm to help stand up from the ground, attempting to brush the dirt and debris off of her pants, yet it came to no avail. Abelia gave a loud groan as she turned around, moving her sweater up enough to show the dirtied jeans, looking back at him with a gently protruded lip. “I’m really not so clumsy, you must think I am a danger to myself,” she murmured under her breath, rolling her eyes at the thought, though she was unable to resist a soft giggle at how pathetic the sight must have been, shaking her head. “Well, I am certainly no Grace. My name is Abelia,” she spoke with a gentle smile, knowing the first part was cheesy of course, but it was within her personality to always say embarrassingly brain-dead jokes when nervous, which although wasn’t often, was also not rare by any means. Abelia couldn’t get past the off sensation she was picking up from him, her head tilting ever so slightly to the side as she looked into his eyes, wishing to demand he be straight forward with her, but knowing it would only scare away the man. Yes, men believe they are invincible, but it seems that whenever it comes down to admitting to their inner most feelings and worries, that they are as delicate as the most fragile flower. The thought brought a small smile upon her lips, turning around so that she faced him once again, though her gaze now took in the scenery around them. She couldn’t help but feel extremely delighted to be here, not necessarily here with him, but at the campsite in general. It was beautiful, there was something irresistible about being in the midst of nature. It seemed as though it embraced them all happily within its gracious and loving arms. The thought peeked a slight curiosity within her as she continued to walk on a slight distance more, the sound of water trickling softly catching her attention, following the sound. Catching sight of a small fawn drinking from the cool liquid of the creek, she immediately reached back, a hand hitting a solid chest, glancing back with an apologetic wince on her face, though quickly pointing towards the adorable creature. “It is so cute,” she whispered quietly, though it was enough to catch the small creature’s attention, and in a matter of seconds, it bounded away, disappearing into the depths of the forest. The sight made her excitement only grow, going over to the creek and eying the various tracks within the soft earth nearest the bank. “What is that?” she questioned, her head tilting slightly as she glanced up to the male she had trudged along with her, inwardly hoping he wasn’t too miserable to be in her company. The print she questioned was quite large, and obviously belonged to that of a predator, though she was unable to identify it due to the fact she didn’t have much experience with the topic.

Alibi had waited for a reply from this girl, but seeming as though it didn't come fast enough she was about to stalk off when a voice almost startled her. It was a male voice, and she was obviously able to pinpoint the voice by the rapid twisting of her head. When he asked the question she nearly shifted right there and skinned him. Her business was none of his, and he acted like he had never seen two girls disagree. Being as emotional and touchy as she was she was offended by his nosiness, her anger escalating slightly. Then she realized it, her nails curving into translucent talons, fur sprouting across her hand. With a gasp she turned around, taking one deep breath. Being emotional like she was the feral animal inside her fed off these emotions, and seemed to come out when they were increasing. So replacing her scowl with a smile sh turned around and walked off the porch, walking a few meters towards this boy {Caine} so he could see her better.

With her toothiest smile, she simply yelled at this human,
None. Of. Your. Business.
. With some un lady like sign language she then turned around to walk towards Vincent only to have him swiped away by some girl. She just rolled her eyes and snorted before realizing she was now the weird one, standing within the circle of cabins by herself only wearing shorts and a sports bra. Great she thought to herself as she decided to simply lay down, still near the boy {Caine}, and closing her eyes. Just listening instead of sleeping.

[ alec the alpha ] ⊱

      ALEC ↴

      xxxxxxthe alpha
      ───────────────────────────────────
      | rank alpha | age twenty | species werewolf | crush none | tags calix, heather, alibi

alec let out a heavy sigh, he felt extremely calm, something that didn't happen very often as alpha of a pack. his pack mates were always getting into trouble, granted it was his job to look after them, sometimes it was tiresome. a voice jolted him from the daze he had gone into. "this? nah I was just thirsty and the coffee didn't look too great." he grinned as he took a sip of the rather frilly drink, he didn't care really, hot chocolate was pretty great. his next question began the worry once again, "I'd say it's a pretty correct assumption." he looked up at his sister's cabin window and almost immediately regretted it. her rather eccentric form at waving at him through an open window concerned him but he gave her a short wave and went back to looking away as to avoid her trying harder and falling out the window. she had been clumsy since she was a child.

he furrowed his brows as he watched calix's expressions change. "what's on your mind? seems you're a bit preoccupied in there." he said, tapping his own forehead with his pointer finger. usually he hadn't worried much about calix, most of the time it was just some girl or as they liked to poke fun at, "wolf things", but this time it seemed a bit different. he set his cup down and looked back over at heather's cabin again. odd. she had just been out on the porch, where was she now? probably just walking around the site and getting to know people. still, she usually would have let him know, it was what they did. the twin worrying thing. oh well, it wasn't a big deal, she knew how to handle herself and everyone was well aware of the dangers out here. he returned his attention back to his friend, a continuing concerned expression stuck on his face, what was eating at him? he knew it wasn't just today, he'd been generally different lately.

he frowned a bit, what had come between he and his lifelong friend? he didn't like the thought of something messing with their friendship. heather had noticed it, she had never said much but every now and then she asked if something happened. nothing had, at least not to alec's knowledge. he always said puberty when they were younger, did she believe him? probably not. he was never telling the truth though, he thought that it was something to do with the pack. he had been the alpha since he was just a kid but nothing was serious back then. he had assumed people would be accepting, there were movies, books, news articles and everything promoting their species. but truth was that they didn't believe that they existed. that was the only reason there were so many things about them. it was disappointing really, especially how they depicted them. man-eaters or airheads who only wanted to show off their bodies. stupid.

he really shouldn't have been too worried, he and calix had a rather impressive control over their shifts, but he was worried about the others. some still couldn't, or could but once they shifted happened to be a bit too feral. that was his worry really. he remembered an old pack member who had shifted and killed a human. he had been killed by a forest ranger but it still didn't change the fact that now people worried more than they should. sure, pick up a news paper and it didn't say much about them but still, when a wolf was seen by someone it was rather dangerous for the pack. he rolled his eyes as alibi began snapping at a few different humans, great. she was at it already. "alibi! honestly, can we please be friendly? we are sharing this site for a year with them, I don't feel like dealing with everyone fighting." there was an undertone of an aggressive growl in his voice, perhaps he couldn't really yell here or now but still, she understood.
