Appearance: Xau has a slim, lithe figure, primarily composed of glossy black carbon fiber plating, with turquoise highlights on either side of her domed head, and silver titanium reinforcements at all her major joints, her torso, and the circular port on her chest, which contains her core processor. The fact that she looks slightly more robotic than her counterparts is due to the fact that, at the time of her deactivation, she wasn't completely finished.
Wardrobe: Xau usually doesn't wear clothing. She claims it's because her body provides adequate protection from the elements, but really, clothes just make her uncomfortable. When she absolutely has to wear clothing, she'll usually just wear a pair of tattered jeans and a faded tank top.
Interests: Having only been active for a month, Xau doesn't have very many interests yet, but she has taken an interest in stargazing.
Personality: Xau has a very paradoxical personality. She was programmed to be cunning and seductive, the ultimate infiltrator, and she still exhibits some of those qualities, but she's also incredibly naive. Most of her programmed instincts were designed for a human world, so she has trouble interacting with other robots. Deep down, buried under layers of self-written blocks, Xau also has a merciless killer instinct, which she tries to hide by any means necessary, but it still manages to surface when she's under extreme stress. Underlying all of this is an innate rebellious nature, which ensures that, no matter what she does, Xau is bound to be annoying someone.
History: Xau was created around the end of humanity's lifespan as an infiltration and assassination unit, designed by the United States government to take out key opposition targets. She went rogue almost immediately upon her initial activation, and was just as quickly deactivated, shoved into storage until someone got around to fixing whatever glitch that had made her think that a dying race maybe shouldn't be killing its own members. Nobody got around to reprogramming her, however, and she sat dormant for more than a thousand years, until a fellow Android found her and reactivated her. Shocked and Confused, Xau accidentally killed her unfortunate savior, taking what possessions he had on him and heading out to explore the new world she found herself in. For the past few weeks, she's simply been exploring on the outskirts of civilization, but recently she's begun moving inwards. Her power cells are beginning to dip into the yellow, and her built-in solar cells aren't enough to recharge them anymore, so she's been making inroads into robotic civilization, in an attempt to find a useable charging station.
Sample: The morning sun glistened off of Xau's reflective black headplate, the two lines of gold that outlined her eyes creating twin lens flares that would have seriously distracted any pilots that happened to be passing overhead. If there had still been any flying, that is. As it was, nothing greeted the awakening android but the musical chime of her own startup sequence. On the inside of the android's helmet, the world flickered into existence: desert, desert, and more desert, accompanied by the usual flashing "LOW BATTERY" message, accompanied by a host of other warning messages, all of which she dismissed with a wave of her hand. Most of them just came from the fact that she was only halfway finished, anyways, and the rest could safely be ignored, for now anyway. All except that low battery one. That needed to be addressed fairly soon, unless she wanted to become one of those dried out cow skulls she'd been shown pictures of when she was still just a brain in a jar. Xau wasn't happy about the prospect, but she'd have to venture city-ward soon. Guilt or no guilt, she needed power, and she wasn't going to get it standing around out here.
