being the youngest of three children was never easy for luke. he was taken
care of by his two older siblings at times, but other times they beat down on him
for being the youngest. but little lucas didn't let that stop him from being
a big hotshot at school. and that caused him to be one of the most popular guys
in school. many girls flirted with him, he just didn't care to find romance at
the time. that all changed when she came along. tessa. she was amazing, and
beautiful. they became close and were the best of friends, him wanting more.
then one day, she vanished. for an entire week, nobody saw her. but at 2 am on a
saturday, she reappeared in luke's room. she crawled in through his window and
woke him up, and gave him time to realize what was going on. "come find me."
she whispered. she then disappeared out the window and into the early morning,
never to be seen again. some wonder if she was killed, or maybe she just doesn't
want to be found. but recently a skeleton was found, and the dental records
matched up. tessa. in the midst of trying to pull an innocent prank, she had been
murdered, and nobody exactly knows why. the grief overtook luke, seeing as he
could have saved her if he were to follow. but nobody believes that she actually
came to him that one night. he's currently on sleeping pills because the doctors
believed he hallucinated. the new mood that became luke was one of lust, now
knowing that he can have any girl in the school, he takes advantage of it,
practically having a new girl every other day. on the rare occasion, he does take
his time with them, a week perhaps. but never longer than that at all. nothing.
and now, exclusivity scares him. it'd be a miracle if he ever got a serious girlfriend.

Being a boy, Calum Hood never had to wake up too early. His routine of looks was quite simple, a quick little comb through the hair, a bit of a shake with his hands, and then he's done. Except, today was not a sleep-in day. The alarm on the young boys phone was deafening as Calum woke up with a headache. As tempting as the snooze button was, Calum decided against it and crawled out of bed. Mali-Koa, Calum's older sister, walked past his bedroom door and peeked inside. "New school year, new you?" She asked, wondering why he was up so early. He lets out a slight chuckle and shook his head. "God, no. It's a new school year, Mali, that does not mean under any circumstances I am changing." he mumbled, searching through his bedside table for an Advil. "I don't even get why you do this, Calum. You never used to be like this until you hung out with that Luke and Michael." she wondered while Calum rolled his eyes at her opinion. "They are my friends, they are what get me through the school year. If I don't do what they do, I will never fit in." He replied while he pulled out an Advil and walked into the bathroom to take a giant swig of tap water to help the pill go down. "Whatever Cal, I just hope to see your grades go up this year." She nodded as she walked to the kitchen, preparing the breakfast for the two.

Calum had a fast shower and put his clothes on. He was daring to wear black skinny jeans with a black and white elbow length shirt on the hot Australian day. Spraying some cologne over his body, he brushed his teeth and went into his room. Looking at all the posters covering the white walls, he began to day dream of what it would be like to meet Katy Perry. Snapping out of it, he got his back pack and reached for his phone plugged into the wall beside his bed. Checking the time, he had an hour to get to the school. Running into the kitchen in the one storey house, he let the smell of bacon and eggs win over the choice of cereal. Calum took a plate and put an egg and about 4 pieces of bacon onto his plate and poured himself a glass of orange juice. "You excited for the first day?" Mali asked, smiling at what was most likely the memories of her school days. "No, of course not. All I will do is work that I will never use in the future." Calum frowned, as he swallowed the orange juice in one go. "True," the older sister agreed, and finished off her bacon. "do you need a ride to school?" she asked, as she grabbed the car keys. "Nah, I'll take my own car." He stated, Mali nodding as she was preparing her bag for work. "Good luck at school!" She said, giving Calum a quick side hug and leaving the house. After being in the house alone for 10 minutes and texting a few people, he stood up to put his black converse on. Grabbing his backpack that he prepared last night and the car keys, he stepped out the house and locked the door. He got to the school in about 5 minutes, and waited outside by the main tree. Luke, Michael, Ashton, whichever girlfriend Luke has on that day, and Cal normally stood there on breaks. Grabbing his phone out his back pocket, he texted the boys in their group chat. come on guys, im stuck at school and i dont want to seem like a loner.

evangelina let out a quiet groan as the loud, monotonous beeping of her alarm clock blared in her ears. she opened her eyes just enough to make out the shape of the clock, and slammed the palm of her hand on top of it repeatedly until the beeping stopped. the sun shining through the large window beside her bed caused the girl to moan again as she senselessly pulled the dark blue curtains shut. like every morning, evan stumbled over to her closet to slip on whatever she felt like wearing. that day, it happened to be an old angels & airwaves tank top and some faded denim shorts. after she was dressed, evan headed into the bathroom down the hall where she proceeded to wash her face, brush her teeth, and comb her hair. she slid on her favorite pair of vans and headed downstairs with her oxygen tank in tow, where her mother was flipping pancakes. "morning, lina. did you take your meds?" evan nodded, although she was pretty sure that she'd forgotten to swallow the pills that basically kept her alive. "yeah," she lied, grabbing a granola bar as she noticed her little brother eating pancakes at the kitchen table. "have a good day at school, sammy." with that, evan headed outside, unlocking her silver kia sould and sliding inside. with her tank rested on the passenger's seat, she began making her way to school, also known as the only real place lina absolutely dreaded.

kian awoke to a warm sensation on his cheeks and bright light trying to peek past his eyelids. it was the rays of sun streaming through his bedroom windows, and the boy slowly cracked his eyes open, only to flinch and squeeze them shut again once the light had reached his exposed pupils. he groaned sleepily and rolled on to his stomach, burying his face into his pillow and letting out a deep, exhausted sigh. he laid there for several minutes before he realized that he really needed to wake up. kian sighed, then pulled the warm sheets away from his bare torso, only to be met by the cool air surrounding his bed. he just yawned before slowly rising to his feet. kian stumbled into the bathroom and took a quick shower, brushing his teeth in the process. when he got out, all he had to do was slip on his outfit for the day, which consisted of a tie-dye shirt, some tight black jeans, and his favorite pair of high tops. slinging his black backpack over his shoulder and grabbing his glow in the dark penny board from the corner of the room, kian headed out without having to say goodbye to anybody. he figured that there was no one would care if he left without breakfast, so he skated to school on an empty stomach, anxious thoughts booming in his his head the entire way there.

The agonizing sound of his alarm ran through his bedroom. What's worse than waking
up for school? Waking up for school with a major headache. You could say that going out with his
friends the night before was an idiotic move, but as someone claimed. They needed to end summer
with a bang and well, that's exactly what they did. Slowly, but surely, Ashton rolled out of bed
and went into his bathroom. From the looks of it he was the only person awake in his house which
meant he had to be somewhat quiet. To make sure he woke up Ashton hoped into the hot shower.
Okay, maybe taking a hot shower wasn't the best idea since he was literally falling asleep. He shut
off the water and wrapped himself in a towel. Ashton decided to stay this way while he bushed his
teeth and somewhat controlled his mess of hair. His mum keeps telling him he should cut it, but
honestly, Ashton liked his crazy hair. Before going back to his room to change he took an aspirin
for his horrible headache. Seeing that it was the first day of school and he didn't have the energy
to actually look through his clothes and choose something to wear so he grabbed whatever he first
saw. Which ended up to be a pair of black skinny jeans, a regular black t-shirt, and his old used up,
all black converse. Pretty much, the usual. Before leaving his bedroom he slipped on his glasses,
picked up his backpack, and slid his phone in his pocket. While he headed to the kitchen he did his
best to not run into things through the dark. Once he arrived to the kitchen he turned on the lights.
Just as he did so he felt is phone vibrate in his pocket. He took his phone out and read the message
from Calum. The message made him laugh a little. 'I'll be there soon. Try not to look too lonely Cal'
Ashton pressed send and went to grab something to eat on his way to school. After a while he decided
to go with a banana. He wasn't much of a breakfast person so this worked. He grabbed his car keys and
headed out the door. It didn't take long for him to arrive. As he walked toward the main entrance of the
school he saw Calum hanging by their regular spot at the tree. He never knew why they always came here,
but he never bothered to ask either. Once he arrived he greeted Calum "Your knight and shiny armor has
come to the rescue" he told him in a teasing tone. Referring to his text message in the group chat. So far
it seemed like a lot of people had arrived to school. Which obviously made sense since the bell would be
ringing soon.

Just like almost every person waking up to the sound of her alarm was pretty sad.
It was the sound meaning school was back in session. Don't get the wrong idea, she gets
great grades and likes going to school, but any and everyone loves summer. It's stress free and
perfect. The first thing Baylynne did after turning off her alarm and turning on her bedroom light
was to go to the bathroom and rinse her face off with cold water. It was something she did to
wake her up. Her morning routine wasn't very time consuming. All she really did was put eyeliner
on, mascara, and blush. She wasn't really into the whole makeup thing. Her 'motto' was a little
goes a long way. One of the things she did do while getting ready was her hair. Since it was the
first day of school she decided to straighten it instead of her normal loose curls. While she waited
for the straightener she went to change into the outfit she picked out last night. Picking out her
outfit the night before was something she always did to save her time in the mornings. What she
decided to wear was a light blue denim button up, a redish infinity scarf, black skinny jeans, and
her pair of light brown oxford flats. It was a simple, comfortable, outfit. Baylynne looked at the
clock in her bedroom and went back to her bathroom to finish getting ready. It didn't take long for
her to straighten her black hair since it's natural state was slightly wavy. When she finished with her
hair she sprayed on some perfume, applied deodorant, and brushed her teeth. With that she grabbed
her backpack and headed downstairs to be greeted by her dad who was drinking coffee and reading
the newspaper. They had their exchange of good mornings then Baylynne left the house. Lucky for her
they lived close to the school so she just walked to and from. Seeing that there was still plenty of time
before school started Baylynne decided to sit outside at one of the tables and read her book. Call her
what you want, but Pride and Prejudice is a great book. As Baylynne sat down she looked around.
Everyone was either talking to their friends or waiting for them. She probably would have gone to find
her friends, but she much rather stay out here and read.

After a couple minutes Calum stood more into the shade wanting to go inside more than ever. Living in Australia for so long, you would think Calum is used to the heat. Calum wiped the small sweat drop that was beginning to fall down his face in the heat. After another minute or so, he heard a voice he would be able to recognize anytime. "Your knight and shiny armor has come to the rescue" the boy with the bandana stated. "Oh my gosh, are you like, the new William Wallace?" Calum asked, hoping he would get his reference from history class. Cal was the first one to get to the school, but now pretty much 75% of the students are there. "I wonder if there are any new students?" Calum whistled, looking through the crowd of teenagers. "I'm also wondering who Luke's next girlfriend will be.." He chuckled, nudging Ash a little bit to see if he was thinking the same thing. Cal picked his backpack up from the floor and wrapped it around his shoulder. "The bell is so close to ringing, where on Earth is Luke and Mike?" He groaned, being late is not unusual for the group, but rarely on the first day. He looked at his schedule that he got from the school email. He began to read out the list to Ashton to see if they have the same classes like last year.

He looked to the right a little bit, noticing a girl with long blonde hair come through the gate. Jasey Rae Smith. He has never spoken to her before, but he always thought she was pretty. Most girls would be happy to even be speaking to Calum. But Calum is trying to get out of the habit of dating girls and breaking up with them a few weeks later. Ash had a little chat with the boys a few weeks ago. Something about the way they treat girls, and Calum decided to go with his words.
