[ When Aidah was younger, she always felt alone. She doesn’t want any children to be forced to be alone, like she was, so she tries her best to foster creativity in happiness in children. It might me cliche to say she works for the children, but it’s totally true. ]

[ Phoenix wears a black cat suit with tall boots that go up to her knees. The entire thing is flame-retardant due to her powers, and her mask is thin and black, incredibles style. She has orange wings on the back of her suit that reflect the idea of an ancient magical bird. ]

[ Phoenix can control flame. She can manipulate it, channel it, and conjure it. She uses it to carry her around, like the Human Torch. She also uses a small dagger that was bequeathed to her by her parents, whom she never met. The dagger works with her powers and can be alit with flames. ]

Aidah is very independent, and extremely intelligent. She as awkward and nerdy, and doesn’t really know how to effectively communicate with people. She likes to focus on science projects, and can come off a little standoffish. She knows she’s smart, but isn’t likely to flaunt it. She’s hard to get close to, but a loyal friend.


Ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ;;
[ As far as she knows, Aidah was born with her powers. She lived at an orphanage where she barely got any attention and was severely abused with many other children. When Aidah was twelve, the abuse got so bad that she couldn't handle it. Her emotions went haywire, and she ended up severely burning her attackers, and scoring them across the face with her dagger. The police came to the children's home soon after and took them all away, convinced that it was the abuser's fault that they got burned. None of the other children blamed Aidah; she had saved their life. The officers placed Aidah and her adoptive family of other abused children in foster homes across the state of New York. She uses her powers very little, as she can be slightly out of control, and she worries for the people around her, such as her captors. Flame powers are hard to manipulate, and can easily get away from their users. The only thing she had from her true parentage was the knife she now uses for defense. When she turned sixteen, she got a job working as an intern for a large science firm and made enough money to rent a tiny apartment. She goes to Richardson’s Academy on Scholarship, but she is very worthy of the money, and gets stunningly good grades.

Adam is a very sly and tricky person to understand. Almost anything that comes out of his
mouth can be taking as a lie. Mostly Adam is just a very anti-social person. He dislikes
talking to people, but oddly enough its not just because he generally doesn't like people, its
just the fact he is afraid of lashing out at someone. At times Adam has horrible mood swings
which often lead to him getting taken out of class or simply just teased. When he has on his
consume though Adam seems to be a totally different person. He is witty and likes to laugh,
but still has his same anger where he is definitely not afraid to defend what he believes in.

Ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ;;
Adam was born on the outskirts of New York. Adam's family was never the wealthiest family,
so he never really did have a life of a normal teenager. At the age of fourteen his mother grew
ill. Being the family that they where it was almost impossible to pay for medical bills. His father
decided not to deal with the burden and left the family. Adam pleaded with almost anyone he
knew or saw to help, yet no one did. Finally one day a man came to visit his mother. Adam had
never seen this man in his life until now. The man introduced himself and explained his predicament.
He had said that he was a scientist working on a top secret drug that would be able to function the
human brain to change almost anything about the body, and ,maybe even things they come in contact
with. He said that if Adam did a few test runs with the drug he would pay full expense for his mothers
treatment. In the end Adam agreed. He meet the man at his home and simply handed Adam the small
bottle. Adam reluctantly drank the substance. Nothing happened. At least at first. A few days passed
and Adam started to feel, well, different. Very different. He grew two inches in a matter of days,
his hair color started switching from brown to black and back to brown. Even some days Adam felt like
he had to much of one thing. The serum even started to change his mood. At random times he might
start yelling at people on the street or have the sudden urge to just kick something, or even someone.
Adam finally returned to the Doctors house after about a week of the trials, but he was no where to
be seen. The odd things kept happening to him, and he could not find any way to stop it. He even
went to check up to see if his mother bills had been paid and they hadn't. Over the course of a year
Adam learned to control some of these powers, but his mood still seemed to change. He almost got
arrested for punching a guy on the street telling him to move then lying to the cop. Finally his mother
passed away and that seemed to be the very breaking point for Adam. He saw no point in people.
In normal humans . No one cared if another peasant died day by day, they just went on with
there stupid lives. He swore he would get revenge on all the stupid humans for everything little thing
they have done.

Most of it started when his mother passed away and he finally realized just how cruel
the real world is. Also the serum that he took made him have horrible mood swings
that ultimately altered his personality into someone he was not, but now is.

Black and red trench coat with buttons along the right side. A black vest, usually bullet
proof. He always pulls the collar of his coat up and wears a mask that only covers half
of his face. The mask has a simple dot for the eye and a line smile for the mouth. Also
has high boots with red laces.

Aspen is quite an odd girl. If you give her a predicament most likely she will
attempt to find a way where is makes sense in the world. Her father works
as a scientist and naturally she followed in his footsteps. She really likes tinkering
with things or simply giving herself problems to solve. She often always has her face
shoved in a book or is working on something sciency. She can be quite the energetic
and weird person if you manage to take away all her materials.

Aspen was born in New York and has lived there her whole life. She currently lives
with her bother and two younger twin brothers. Most of the time she doesn't really
count her father since he comes home at late hours from the lab. Aspen mostly spends
her time in her room when she has free time off of school. She does experiments and
other lab work. Nothing really tragic has ever happened in Aspen's life. She is just a
normal, every day girl who constantly has to make everything make sense.

At first just to survive but then she started doing out of enjoyment. She also realized that while humans act like they are perfect many are full of darkness. And if there is too much darkness in the world than all light will be wiped out. All the people who have a chance at being good will be evil and how can you be a villain without anyone to fight against.

Ｃｏｓｔｕｍｅ ;;
Nightshade wears a dark purple almost black tanktop with a matching skirt. She also has on a black cropped leather jacket and a simple black belt around her waist. Black tights are tucked into black combat boots and black gloves cover her hands. Around her neck is a black choker with an amethyst pendant. Her mask is a black one with a purple flower near her left eye.

Ｐｏｗｅｒｓ;;
Shadow Manipulation: She can control already existing shadows to a certain extent. She can use them to form black illusions to confuse others or darken an area.
Shadow Travel: Similar to teleporting, Vanessa is able to travel by shadows. It is not always reliable and requires a good deal of energy but can come in handy. She basically just "goes into" a shadow and comes out wherever she pictured going. There has to be shadows on both sides of the journey or else she can't do it correctly.
Shadow Whip: This is a whip that is literally made out of solidified shadows. It is pure black and Nightshade can summon it anywhere there are shadows. While it looks like just shaped shadows at first, it is solid and can actually be touched.
Twin Daggers: When there is no shadows to use her weapons of choice are two daggers. They are solid black and hang from both sides of her waist.
Power Weaknesses: Vanessa can't use her powers when there is no shadows. Also, due to a flaw in the process of giving her powers she has to be careful not to use them to often. If she uses them too much, she will literally become a shadow.

Vanessa is an interesting person. She prefers to be called Vanessa unless you are her close friend. Then you can call her Ness but only her brother has ever been allowed to call her Nessie. She doesn't come off as evil but she is a villain. She is very sarcastic to pretty much everyone and will stand up for what she believes in. She tends to get what she wants from people and will use whatever means necessary to get it. Ness isn't spoiled to the point that she expects to get everything she wants with a bat of an eyelash. No, she knows that certain things she can't have and some things require a little more effort to acquire. She has always been independent since she lost her parents. Especially since she had to support both her and Blake for awhile. Another thing is that she often teases people, especially in combat. It annoys them and she finds it quite amusing to joke around with her opponents. This is basically how everyone sees her but this mainly a cover. She is is actually quite broken on the inside from all she went through as a kid but would never admit it. Instead she channels all those emotions into being a villain or just locks them up in a bottle.

Ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ;;
On November 3, Vanessa Elizabeth Hemlock was born to Justin and Rose Knight along with her fraternal twin Blake Alexander Hemlock. Her father was a scientist and her mother was a stay-at-home mom. At the age of 3, her father began taking Vanessa to his lab while Blake stayed home with her mom. She understood little what was going on at the time as her father constantly did tests on her. A good deal of these tests hurt a lot. She dealt with it though because at the end of the day they always told her good job and give her candy and toys to play with while her father talked with the other scientists. It wasn't until she turned 7 that her dad had taken her out to the lab at a different time then normal. They took her to a different room and strapped her to a table while she asked what was going on. Her father had just shushed her and said that it was a special surprise for being such a good girl. That's all she remembers before lots of pain and screaming. She remembers yelling for them to stop as she was injected with what felt like liquid fire and poked with needles. Eventually she passed out because of the pain.
When she awoke, Vanessa was back at home in her bed so she figured the whole thing was a nightmare. She refused to go back to the lab or even to hospitals after that dream but luckily her father seemed done with her. A few months later though, she began feeling strange. The shadows seemed to be calling to her and the room seemed to darken whenever she entered. Sometimes shadows turned solid when she went to touch them or she actually passed through them to somewhere else. It freaked her out so much that she told her mom. Her mom had just frowned and told her it was nothing and to go play with her brother so Vanessa did. She knew it wasn't nothing though and that was confirmed when she heard her parents arguing about it later.
A few weeks the twins had went downstairs to find their dad in handcuffs and police officers in their living room. They explained that their father had been performing illegal experiments on animals and humans. They said that all of the experiments had been failures but part of one of the files was missing. The file only contained plans for giving someone shadow powers but they had never got to finish the experiment.
With her dad gone the family lived in peace for a few more years with Vanessa learning to use her powers in secret. She would lock herself in her room for hours as she practiced them. She actually almost turned into a shadow once because she didn't know her limits. It wasn't until the twins were 11 when everything started going downhill again. Some villain had been robbing a bank when a hero showed up. He tried to stop the villain but the villain had grabbed Ness' s mom who had been there at the time as a hostage. A gun was pressed to her head but the hero didn't care and just went ahead to stop the villain and save the bank. True to his word the villain shot the twin's mom and they didn't find out about it until they came home from school. That's probably when Vanessa realized heroes could care less about how much one person means. The two would be separated if they were put into the foster system and they definitely didn't want that to happen and there wasn't a family member to take them in so that left them with one option. They ran away taking only a few belongings with them.
They did fine for the first couple of weeks but then they started running low on supplies. That's probably when Vanessa started using her powers more. She used them to sneak in and steal from others or fight for provisions. She is the one that kept her and her brother alive. They were doing fine until they were found by the police. They were put into foster care for a short amount of time after they begged not to be separated. A few months later they got out when a rich couple took them in and enrolled them in this school. They said they would take care of the two but really didn't pay much attention to the twins. Vanessa made sure they got fed and seemed well off by still being a thief. Eventually she took on the role of being a full time villain after watching the news and once again she realized again that heroes didn't care too much about a few lives as long as they got noticed. She saw that heroes were just as bad as villians and needed to be stopped so she stepped up to the role. She would help get rid of the fake heroes and weed out the ones who would actually care about people.
She may be a villain to others but she is a hero in her own eyes.

Blake Alexander Hemlock prefers to be called Alexander or Alex, only allowing his sister to call him Blake. He is quite the opposite of his twin being more quiet and friendly. He doesn't have as many fears as her and trust people easier than she does. Unless they do something to make him suspicious and then he's on to them. He doesn't have too many friends being quite shy but is a lot more approachable then his sister. He is also pretty smart getting mainly A's in his class.

His history isn't as dramatic as his sister's. He had a normal life until they ran away and even then his life stayed pretty normal. He did grow suspicious about his sister but knew better than to question how she got them supplies and why she disappeared for so long.
