Preferring to spend most of her life around people being as social as possible and dabbling in the love affairs of others, it was no surprise when Calina was claimed as a daughter of Aphrodite. Although she can come across as the stereotypical ‘popular cheerleader’, she is actually a rather sweet girl who tries her hardest not to judge by appearances. She is loud an expressive, an open book that holds no secrets, and who does not take kindly to people who are rude. Sometimes, though, Calina can be rather naïve when dealing with the more ‘mortal’ side of the world – namely, she doesn’t know how to catch a train or which streets are which.
Due to Aphrodite’s children having magical control over fashionable items, Calina was always drawn to the world of fashion, practicing at any chance she can get in creating perfect clothing items that would be the highlight of any fashion show.

Calina Laurel was born early in the morning, sunrise, on April 4th. The youngest child, a minute after her twin brother’s birth. Originally born on the island of Karpathos, Greece, she spent a lot of her life between her birth home and her American home in New York. She had a quiet life growing up, around all the travelling, besides the odd monster appearing here and there but nothing her aunt, a daughter of Ares, couldn’t protect them from.
Since she was little, Calina had always known she was a daughter of the love goddess and was so proud when she went to Camp Half-Blood for the first time at the age of thirteen, being officially claimed in her rightful birthplace.
Her father has since remarried, to a wonderful woman who treats the twins amazingly, and the Leofcas family are expecting a third child. Due to a busy work schedule, her father and step-mother are not around very often when they spend the rest of the year together – it has been getting a little better since Corinna became pregnant and they spend most of their time shopping – and when away from camp Calina works at one of the various high-end fashion retailers.

Calden wasn’t one for a lot of the social aspects of being a son of Aphrodite, but like his sister he loved to mess with the love affairs of others. With his rather charming good looks, Calden aspires to appear on the stage and screen like the other beautiful children of his mother. He was one to gossip with others over trivial high-school things and loves to research into sorcery. He is the more… ‘evil’ side to his sisters sweetness and will most likely hold a grudge. Unlike his sister, Calden grew into the power of Charmspeak and uses it when possible – however, he doesn’t tend to tell people since it hasn’t been used by a man to date.
