Alright, everyone. Thank you so much for joining my RP!

I am not going to start it off just yet, since no one has claimed the newbie spot. However, I will start within a day or two. The newbie spot isn't something vital, and they can literally hop in anywhere.

If you'd be up for a discussion thread, let me know and I will make one. If you'd like on, however, please PM me instead of posting here so as not to accumulate clutter.

    Thanks!

(Alright, I'm going to go ahead and kick it off. To start this out, I'll just have them hanging out in their base. After everyone can do a bit of introductory posting, I'll move into a bit of plot. Nothing too big yet, though things will heat up after a while. One person has thrown me a slight plot twist for later, and everyone else is welcome to PM me with ideas as well. I love hearing input from you guys so I can try and make this RP the best I can! Onwards!
Also- I don't expect posts this long every time. I just tend to go overboard with introductory posts.)

      Hayato Mikoshiba - Male - Leader - 24 - Tagged;; n/a
It had been four years since Hayato had been sent to this place, nine since he'd managed to find the rebellion. In that time, he had experienced many things he never thought he would. Growing up in the slums hadn't been a good life, what with having to constantly struggle for food and even struggle to stay alive. Any soldiers or higher class townsfolk that would wander into the slum area would often find some poor kid to beat up, or sometimes a young child to tease or torment. Hayato would never put up with this, often fighting back and trying to stand up for the others that wouldn't, either because of no energy or no hope. Many in the slums never really cared what happened to them. They knew that they were destined to die, to rot away without anyone really caring. He had always been different. While he never thought that he was destined for true greatness, he knew that he wasn't going to die in the slums. No matter what he had to do, he would make sure that he got out of the horrid city he was born into and do something worthwhile.

Now, as he stood near his new home, Hayato knew that he would do something great. He would help lead the rebellion to a victory, one death at a time. Every corrupted merchant or noble they disposed of led them one step closer to victory. It would only be a matter of time before they could attack the heart of the problem, removing the corrupt minister from power. Once that duty was done, everything would get better for the city, as well as the country as a whole. Sighing, he ran a hand through his hair and closed his eyes, letting the gentle morning breeze blow over him. The sun had risen not long ago, and he was currently surveying the area. A small ledge of rock near the base gave a good view of the surrounding valley, and it was here that he often found himself in the mornings and evenings. A bit further back from the edge stood markers, graves for his fallen comrades. He hadn't managed to retrieve all of them, but he still made them proper graves. Every day he would talk to them, ask them for forgiveness for failing to save them.

After a while of standing, Hayato decided to head inside and start on breakfast. He was normally the first one up, or at least the first one that left his room, and thus it was often him that made breakfast for everyone. Others would sometimes step up and do it, but he didn't mind. As he stepped into the kitchen today, he ran through the food they had in his mind. He would eventually have to send someone to town to buy supplies. He couldn't go for fear of being recognized, but that was true for others as well. Coyote was a well-known soldier at one point, and it wasn't soon after he left that his face had joined Hayato's on wanted posters around the city. Still, today there was enough food for him to make breakfast bowls for everyone. He gathered up the sausage and eggs and other needed supplies, making everyone a bowl just how they liked it. While they didn't have assigned seating at the table, he found that everyone normally chose the same seat. Thus, he set out everyone's bowls where they normally sat, taking his own to the head of the table and sitting down to eat. He hadn't gotten word of any missions yet, but there would surely be one in the next day or two.

Coyote Varia knelt before a small shrine he had erected in his room, head bowed low in respect. This was his morning ritual, a habit he had developed during the past two years. Each morning, the ex-soldier would wake up to the rising sun's rays illuminating his room in a pink glow. It was quite likely that Coyote awoke the earliest, his military training never leaving him entirely. However, Coyote was not the first to leave his room. He always set aside an hour each day to pay his respects to the spirit of his wife, his Elaine. Even now, he could recall the circumstances that had brought them together.

Growing up, Coyote had always been heavily influenced by his father. As such, it had been no surprise to anyone that the younger Varia had desired to join the Imperial Army. Protecting the citizens had been his job, though Coyote had never once bothered with the 'scum' on the streets. He'd just been another soldier, following his emperor's every order blindly.Coyote had known that corruption had begun to creep slowly into the capitol, but it didn't matter to him so long as he was able to fight for the greater good. Thinking on it now, Coyote realized he truly had been a blind fool. Greater good? That would have meant putting the people before all else. That had not been his orders, though. Once he could no longer ignore the people's cries for help, Coyote had thrown down his arms and walked away. Of course, he hadn't left alone. He'd taken his Imperial Arms, the impenetrable armor Draig, with him. At that time, Coyote truly believed he'd be free of the chains that were quietly binding him. How foolish he had been.

After a few months of wandering from town to town, Coyote had finally decided to settle down on the outskirts of a small town. Nobody seemed to have much there, but everybody was happy. Families were much closer to one another, the community itself seeming like one big family. Nobody was a stranger. Everybody knew one another, and Coyote found he himself being dragged into the community. He pulled his own weight, setting up a nice-sized farm to grow food for the town. There, he'd barter the excess produce for meats and other goods. It was in that town that Coyote met Elaine. She was the daughter of a baker, a kind girl loved by all. Quite often, Coyote found himself staring at her, admiring the way the sun reflected off her golden locks. He had seen beautiful women before, but Elaine was something different altogether. Oftentimes, when he was wrapped up in work, she would visit him, bringing with her fresh bread and good company. A few months before his past caught up to him, Coyote had married Elaine. She had become his life, his light in the darkness.

Coyote broke out of his thoughts, not wishing to dredge up memories of the day he had lost everything. Rising to his feet, the quiet man made his way to the kitchen. It came as no surprise when he found Hayato there. His boss was just as early a riser as he, though the former didn't dedicate quite as much time to dwelling on the past. Sitting down at his usual spot, Coyote clasped his hands in prayer. It was no doubt a rather unusual custom in the eyes of other people, but Elaine had made sure Coyote never forgot his manners. That was one of the reasons he'd cared for her so much. She had never let him forget what was right and what was wrong; she'd kept the darkness away from his door. Of course, no words came from Coyote's mouth as he prayed. None had since the day he realized just how corrupt the empire had become. No member of Night Raid seemed to need to hear his words, though. They needed only watch his expressions to know what passed through his mind.
Please help my dragons grow so that they might live.

╚════════════════════╝
The room was dark and spacious. Not even a tiny crack of sunlight pierced the shade. It was indeed a gloomy place. In the center of it all stood a man, quiet and motionless. His eyes were slightly glazed over but he was staring straight ahead into nothingness. There was once a time when being alone with oneself was a peaceful time, now it was all he could do to keep himself from growing mad. Tiergan stood there in the darkness for a while longer, his mind was wondering. A thing it often did, to his dismay. The world outside was not a kind place and his persistent memories never let him forget that. For a slight moment he forgot where he was. However it quickly came back to him, it always did. Despite it being morning the sunlight never reached his room. There was a simple answer to that. He was not a fan of being woken up, be it by the sun or by others. Because of this he had covered the small window, erasing all traces of light from the dank room. It wasn't that he hated the light, he would just rather not deal with it this early. From the sound of it the others were starting to move around as well. The brunette took in a deep breath, the air cool and crisp. It was enough to wake him from his daydreaming. While barren his room was always kept neat not a single object out of place. Then again there was not much to misplace. If he was going to leave his tiny sanctuary he was going to have to appear presentable. With a muffled yawn he scanned the area for his outfit of choice. It is true what they say, after all. The longer you stay in the dark the easier it becomes. Of course that was a metaphor for something else but at this moment he didn't care.

After putting on somewhat decent clothes he took one glance at the mirror. It hung, tilting slightly towards the left, ready to fall at any given moment. After a quick peek he ran his fingers through his hair. Not that is really mattered because in the end his hair did what it wanted to do. And today it felt like sticking up any which way. Tiergan was never one for impressing people. He felt little need to put effort into his appearance and it showed. Still, it was hard for him to look like a bum. With one last look around his room he headed towards the door. His room was lovingly placed at the top floor, that being the fourth floor. Which made every morning a chore. Even from here, however, one could smell the scent of food being cooked. It never took much to motivate him but food was always the best at that. Judging by how early it was being made there could have been only one person making it. In this building that only five of them lived in there was one person who was awake before the rest. Hayato was a mystery to him. The guy seemed to always be awake. Still he was thankful that their leader had a sense for cooking. He, himself, had never learned such a skill. If he ever tried to do such a thing he would probably end up catching something on fire. Deciding that cooking was a grace that he did not have he left it up to the others to do it. As he made his way down the stairs the smell only grew stronger. There was not a single person who was not hungry after waking up. He was no exception.

Once on the first floor the scent was inescapable. Tiergan was not surprised by who he saw already sitting at the table. Coyote had also been a early riser. While he never asked, nor cared much for it, he was always curious about the others. However he knew better than anyone that the past is something best forgotten. The older male had been praying when he walked in. He never saw a reason for such inconvenience. Praying to some deity that watched its followers beg and cry for help never seemed appealing to him. There was once a man he knew very well that did the same thing as Coyote. When he asked why the man simply sneered at him but never gave a response. Maybe it was just a habit. Taking it as a bad thing that he had been thinking this much he quietly sat down. Despite everything different about them they all seemed to work together well. The table was mostly devoid of people. While they always sat at the same spot everyday it seemed that some of them had yet to wake up. In front of him lay a plate covered in food. For the most part it was meat, and then more meat. Tiergan's upbringing very much reflected in his eating habits. Despite his brutish attitude and appearance he ate like a proper gentleman. It was too early in the morning for him to want to say much of anything. So instead he sat quietly and ate slowly.

Josephine

When the sunlight fluttered in through her drawn curtains, Josie groaned in annoyance. She hated mornings. They were evil, little devils in her mind. She pushed herself up and stretched, sighed and began getting dressed. She pulled on a pair of black leggings that went up above her belly-button and then her crimson red tunic that went down to mid-thigh and was slit up on both sides up to her hips and fell down to her elbow. She brushed out her hair and pulled it back, glaring at her bangs as they fell out like usual. The last thing she put on was her gun, even though she was in the safety of the base, she never felt okay without the feeling of the cool, heavy metal resting on her hip. She double checked her ammo and walked out the door and made her way towards the kitchen.

Nothing new up there...I wonder what I was like? She thought to herself. Her memory was no better than how it was when she woke up in the forest. Her head had been throbbing, each beat of her heart had sent a fresh wave of pain over her. Even though she liked her life as it is, what she had been like before was always on her mind.

When she entered the kitchen she smiled at Coyote and gave a mocking frown to Tigeran. She took her place at the table and leaned back in her chair. "Morning, boys! Did ya'll sleep well?" She smiled down at her bowl. She had never really been one for liking some meats and she was happy Hayato knew that. She took a small bite of her eggs and smiled.

(I'm sorry it's not as long as everyone else. Today has just been, well tiresome.)
I am like a brilliant red rose. So beautiful to look at that you just want to have it, but you do not see the thorns I have. I have the beauty of lady but the attitude of a caged tiger!

Ayame is an odd one; she is very motherly and over
protective of the weak as well as being harsh when
necessary. She is very knowledgeable when it comes
to fighting and can deduce almost anything just from
looking at a person, as well as this she is very proud and
self-reliant, she hates having to depend on others.
Lastly Ayame is a very hard worker, she works so hard
she can push herself to the brink of exhortation or death
in a battle. This girl’s history isn’t exactly a pleasant one,
when she was eighteen she was sold off in to slavery by
her family because they needed the money. She worked
hard to please her boss and his mistress but the woman
didn’t like how her husband took an interest in the young
girl so she tortured the girl and then gave her the sack.
After this she returned to her family, after two years
of peace she found herself engaged to an older man
who she had never met. After hearing this the twenty
year old ran away from home and four years later joined
a group of assassins.

THE NEWBIE

╚═════════════╝
It was the flood of awful dreams that woke Ayame, not the birds outside her window. Shaking violently from fright the young woman gently rubbed the pale skin on her arm that had at one point been turned black and blue by the jealousy of a woman. Exhaling and inhaling jittery breaths she pauses to peer across at the window, brown and blue birds chirped softly outside as they flitted about. Sinking back into her pillow she pulls the sheets up around her and rolls on to her side where she stays for a good ten or so minuets running over her past experiences. The sound of footsteps on hard wooden flaw boards drew the girl from her thoughts and back to reality. Sliding from beneath the covers she made her way to her chest-of-draws and rummaged through her clothes before finally settling on a white and red dress. Swiftly pulling off her night wear Ayame changed into her daytime clothes before heading down stairs.

She hadn’t put any socks on, she never did when she was inside she liked the feel of the wood against her skin and it relaxed her. Nimbly making her way down the stairs and along the hall she took a long deep sniff of the air she her nose picked up the scent of something delicious, licking her lips she followed the smell into the kitchen. Peaking her head round the door she spots four of the older Night Raid members and she hesitates for a second before entering. She dips her head in respect to the leader of the group: Hayato Mikoshiba. She then directs a warm smile towards the only other girl in the room and also does the same towards the other two men. Taking a seat she glances down at what the breakfast consisted of sausage, eggs and bacon as well as some other pieces of food. Smiling down at the meal Ayame still felt quite out of place, she had no experience with a weapon of any kind, had never taken a life and hadn’t really done anything to help the other Night raiders except do chores around the house. Cutting in to a sausage she places the piece of meat into her mouth and chews.

It didn’t take her long to finish the meal, so she took out the book she’d been keeping in her pocket and began to read. It wasn’t a long book, or a very well-known one but she enjoyed it. She listened as the group chattered; she hadn’t really spoken to any of them and she doubted they actually knew who she was other than the fact that she was new and her name was Ayame.

╚═════════╝
A cool sweat began to drip across her olive skin as she sat there, wrapping in her blanket, her expression blank. It had happened again, the dreams and memories returned, this time more violent than ever before. As she sat there, silently she looked towards the small children bed in the corner of the room. Empty, as it had been for the last few months, since that fateful day when he decided to help. A tear trickled down her face as she thought about it.

Little Kayo just wanted to be one of them, a fighter and someone to look up to. He followed them one night on a mission, remaining hidden from view as they fought. He wanted so badly to join, but fear had taken over him and he froze in place. He didn't know there were others, more danger beasts lurking in the darkness.....it was the screams that alerted her. Causing her to run to her beloved brothers location only to see him being torn before her eyes.

"No.... no." she mumbled, shaking her head of the memory, pushing it far behind her walls. She needed to be strong for her comrades, she was second in command, showing this much weakness would be frowned upon. Standing up slowly she sighed, allowing the memories to seep back into the walls in which she contained them. What was still left of her arm throbed, causing her to wince as she attached the Imperial Arm back into place. She never slept with it, it caused her to much pain.

Yawning she stretched her arms over her head, popping the knuckles of her right hand as she did so. The tear from before had dried now, and she had almost completely blocked the emotions from her mind as she went to her small dresser. Her wardrobe tended to be pretty typical, black jeans paired with riding boots and a long sleeved blouse. She liked to be feminine if possible, even if it happened to make things a little difficult when it came to fighting.

Grabbing her shawl, she pulled it over her head, the fabric draping around her body like a small cloak. Before closing her door she looked back, inspecting the room. It was just something she did, inspecting it, to make sure there was no way anything could get inside. Being on the lowest of the bedroom floors made her antsy. She always had a feeling that some how a beast or an enemy would be able to break through the windows and over run them.

"Alright then." she said to herself as she closed the door, satisfied with her inspection. As she made her way down the hallway and to the staircase she could already smell the sweet aroma of food and smiled. Of course Hayato was awake, he always was, and he always made breakfast just the way she loved. She was quite grateful of him, as well as all her other comrades. They were there for her through everything, they never looked down on her or thought low of her for her handicap, even if she was one of the best one handed fighters of all time.

She snickered to herself as she pushed open the doors, taking her regular seat on the left side of the table. She was the last on in, like normal, but she didn't mind eating her food cold. She was mostly glad there was any food to eat at all. Nodding her head at her fellow friends she began to eat, remaining silent as she did so.....

      Hayato Mikoshiba - Male - Leader - 24 - Tagged;; everyone
After sitting, it was only a few moments before the others began to trickle into the room. The first, as normal, was Coyote and Hayato nodded at him. He was silent, as usual, but he was also decent company. Sure, he wasn't a conversationalist by any means, but that didn't matter. He was almost complimentary to Hayato. Coyote was more gentle and wise, while Hayato was reckless and forthright. At first, the redhead had been intrigued by the fact that Coyote often prayed, but that time had passed. He let his subordinates do nearly whatever they liked, so long as they followed his orders and kept the base hidden. A few moments later, Tiergan joined the two in the kitchen, taking his seat as well. Hayato nodded at Tiergan as well, continuing to eat his food. The peacefulness of the morning only lasted a short time, however, before Josephine came to join them. Hayato let out a soft chuckle at her enthusiasm, something he could always count on.

"Same as always." While he never really told anyone what that especially meant, it was his normal response. His usual sleep pattern was enough to give him energy for the day, but it was often short and interrupted sleep. He tried to never let that show, and had only ever indulged that once to a former teammate who now lay 6 feet under outside. "What about you?" After taking another bite, he spotted Ayame enter the kitchen. She had picked up a habit of bowing her head to him, as if he was someone important. As she sat down, he shook his head gently. "Ayame, you don't need to treat me differently like that." While he did want others to respect them, he respected them the same. Just because he was the leader didn't mean that he should get special treatment. Everyone here was a team, and that was what he wanted.

It was another while before Minasa joined them. While he didn't treat her as any weaker than the others for what she had gone through, he also held a soft spot for her. She had remained strong as the second in command even through that, and he offered her a gentle smile as she sat down with them. Now that everyone was present, he set down his spoon and cleared his throat. Interlacing his fingers, he rested his elbows on the table and his chin on his hands. "We haven't had a mission in a few days, as you all know, but soon we will. Since I've been here, it hasn't been more than 5 days between missions." He moved his eyes around the table, his crimson eyes meeting those of everyone present. "Until we get wind of the next mission, I want all of us to continue training." His eyes moved to Ayame and lingered there for a moment. "Ayame- when you are ready, join me in the training yard." With that, he stood and put his bowl by the sink. "Tiergan- you're on dish duty today."

With that, Hayato left the kitchen and headed out to the training area. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was enough for their purposes. It included a flat dirt area with a few targets at one end and dummies at the other, as well as a small outdoor shed that housed basic weapons- swords, bows, clubs... anything they needed. Everyone that had an Imperial Arms simply trained with that, but the weapons were for those like Ayame that had none yet. Today, he would be training her in the basics of swords, which were his specialty. She'd just joined recently, so he hadn't really had time yet. Before anyone else joined him outside, he pulled out his own swords and started sparring with the air, moving through an imaginary form in his mind. He blocked out all distractions and focused. As a finishing move, he did a flip and landed on a target, sinking both swords nearly into the center, flipping back and pulling them out again. "Tch, not in the center... Not good enough..." He coughed slightly, huffing at himself for his weakness.

Minasa finished her meal shortly before Hayato had begun to speak. She was normally a fast eater, never really taking the time to enjoy a dish when her mind was busy racing back and forth from thought to thought. Looking up from the bowl, she smiled kindly back at him, he was definitely a role model to her, and someday she hoped lead her own branch of Night Raiders, but for now, she was quite content with the love and friendship she held for the five around her.

As soon as he finished speaking and headed away to train she stood, taking her dishes to the sink and washing them herself. She was never one to have someone else do the work for her, even if it was their turn for 'dish duty'. Looking towards Tiergan she smiled kindly, nodding her head at him politely as she made her way out of the kitchen and towards the training grounds.

She honestly wouldn't train to hard today, mostly due to how sore her arm was feeling, but she would test out a few new moves and help out as needed with the newbie. She rubbed her arm gently as she turned down the hall towards the grounds, curious why it had been hurting her so badly lately. There were always stories of Imperial Arms rejecting their wielders but she thought, since it was basically fused with her own body parts as well as being attached to her each day that she would never have that issue.

"No. It's fine. I'm sure...." she said softly as she walked through the doorway, stopping at one of the small bench work tables near the shed.
