Toxic Dreams will End...

You wake in a bed that's dusty covered in blankets that are rough to the touch, obviously unused for quite some time. Your eyes gaze around and you instantly see other figures also sitting up in beds identical to yours. Many of the beings around you are of different origins; there are humans, fanged vampires, elven ears and even some horns protruding from foreheads. You have no time to ponder the meaning of such things for the moment you gain your vision fully a door slides open and in walks an obviously mechanical female looking humanoid. She's beautiful, really.. blue hair and a small blue dress with heels to match it all.

She strides in with her arms limp by her side and her face expressionless. Her glowing blue eyes don't land on a single face as she moves to the center of the room. Her lips have yet to move but her melodic, sing-song voice echos through out the small room.

"Welcome to you all. You have been chosen among thousands of people for at the time of your birth you were marked by Ilithis, the lady of dreams." the robot pauses to gesture to a small mark the size of a quarter on her upper arm. Even from the distance you're sitting at you can clearly decipher the small feather captured on her metal looking cover. "Each one of you has such a sign located somewhere on your flesh and that marked your for your quest."

Moments pass as the robotic being lets all the murmurs fly, "The government has invited you to attempt at helping our lost. Some of you may not be aware of what Illusion is while others of you fear it's very existence. Illusion has been tearing into the minds of living creatures for centuries now and the government believes you to be the only ones able to save us." The robot's eyes now make contact with each individual and she smiles slowly, "If you'd like to hear more, please proceed through the door behind me while those who don't wish to continue may exit the back door." She raises a hand and gestures to a door behind all the beds that none had bothered to glimpse.

Will you help against this Illusion or flee?

A bit confused? Go no farther.

This roleplay is based in the far, far future. Your character (of ANY humanoid origin) has been chosen by a program developed thousands of years ago to demolish a threat called 'Illusion'. Illusion was originally found by a shaman in a prophecy and the disease took the life of a single being before everyone quickly believed and gave in to the government program. This program was entitled W.A.R.I. or "Warriors Against the Rise of Illusions" and there purpose was the search out those with the mark of the goddess Ilithis.

Now that you've been awoken the W.A.R.I. are using you to probe the dreams of those inflicted with Illusion.

In essence you are to be sent into the dreams of these inflicted and your goal is the defeat whatever is lying at the end of that dream. This could be a lost lover, a nightmare, a fear that was never confronted or even a simple puzzle that's griping the heart. Each dream is different and varies in scenery. One moment you could be in a medieval fighting the wars of a long lost knight and the next you could zipping through sky-scrappers with the help of power-packs.

Everyone in this will be roleplaying a character of whatever origin they wish. I will not be playing a character and will be playing the dreams. The end "boss" of each dream as well as each conquest needed. Each of these conquests will more or less be based loosely on a song or inspired by a part of a book I read.
