Long have the days of war reigned between the kingdoms of Istoth and Seulghem. The war has raged on for nearly a century now. Whatever caused such hatred to spark the fire has been long forgotten. The two kingdoms could end this feud with the marriage of their children. But of course, why would you marry some one you hate? The wars have died off, and social and politically quarreling takes its place. More importantly, what shall become of the lives who created these kingdoms? More importantly, what shall become of the lives who created these kingdoms? Only time will tell.

To some, the intro post might of been a bit confusing. So I'm here to sum it all up in detail!

The role play is set in the medieval ages. Not your standard, historical medieval age, however. It is also heavily fantasy influenced. The two kingdoms are Istoth and Seulghem. Neither kingdom represent 'good' or 'bad', though, and in all honesty, they are quite alike. Yet there is a 'small' problem; the two kingdoms are at war and have been for nearly a century. The cause of the war is unknown, even to the rulers of both kingdoms for the ones who started it have both died in battle. Because of this war, both kingdoms our destroying themselves and their enemy, slowing fading out until they are nothing but ash and dust. Now, what you will actually be role playing in is during a more peaceful part of the feud. There will be no battle scenes. There will be more 'war' through social and political conflict, almost 'Romeo and Juliet' like without the tragic love story to it, meaning they just hate each other and refuse to get along. There could still be things like spies and raids, just like the two kingdoms trying to get back and tick each other off as much as they can. It has been proposed before that the eldest daughter of Istoth and the eldest son of Seulghem marry to unite the two kingdoms, but of course neither child will accept this. The idea, however, is still very heavily thought of. Then there are the people of each kingdom, who most of you who join will be playing. As for your characters, you can have fantasy species, but that will be further discussed in the 'Species' post.

Tess's rules apply as always. That means any cussing, even if starred out, is not aloud. Nor is spamming links and pictures in your posts, and only one image per character form.

Two characters max (one boy, one girl). Please keep genders even within each species. Also, try to keep character occupations even as well. We don't want five spies and one baker, now do we?

Five lines per post, three for writer's block (do not abuse WB). Stay active (a post every other day would be nice). After a week, I will most likely send you a warning/reminder that you need to post, and if that warning/reminder is ignored, I will remove you from the role play. Pretty forms and posts please! I know that some may hate that, but it does make it easier for the rest of us to read if it is nicely organized and has a style.

Humans
I honestly do not think I need to explain this ^^
Elves
Elves are one of the fairest of people who dwell on this earth. They have a love for nature, and are physically above humans. They do like dwarves and their greediness. Think of the elves off of Lord of the Rings. Also includes other types of elves like Dark Elves, etc.
Shapeshifters
I believe everyone knows what a shapeshifter is; a human who can take on the form of other beings. However, in this role play, I am going to limit each shapeshifter to one animal form that they can change into.
Magic Users
This includes mages, sorcerers/sorceresses, and wizards/witches. In all honesty, you can go a bit wild with this one and use your imagination, if you want. Just do not make your character over powered! xP
Dwarves
Dwarves have a love for halls of stone and mighty treasure. They are a hearty folk, but do not like elves. Think of Lord of the Rings.
Other
This could include anything like goblins, orcs, trolls, or just what ever really. BUT! Please ASK before you go off and make Smaug, the Consulting Dragon ^^

Also, please do not, for example, make your character able to
shift into a humongous dragon and kill everyone. Completely
godmodding there. Didn't want to have to say this, but knew I'd

Seulghem needs A LOT more characters. Right now, the ratio is 8:4. I would prefer if it was 8:8, or even higher for Istoth needs more guys since it is overloaded with girls, and Seulghem.. Well, it's just slacking right now really xP

kingdom. It is located on a mighty lake
known as Black Lake. The lake is connected
to a river that runs out into sea five miles
from the kingdom. The surrounding land is
filled with forests and swamp, and Istoth
is ten miles away.

I have revised it to make it more CS friendly so we can be more free
with what we post and not have a lot of physical fighting drama
going on that we have to be careful with.

wise, intelligent, friendly, deadly. those are the good points about this particular man. those are what people credit him with, along with his battle strategies and his skill with metal blades, be them large or small. however, like every person in the land, he has his flaws. no sense of danger - reckless, some might say - amorous, to the point that he has been slapped more times he can count, although he finds he likes that in a woman. his face gives him the look of an older man, and alvere finds he doesn't mind this either. he's a merciless killer when it comes to it, and he does find it a little sad, but he has a job to do and so he does it.
alvere was born to a married couple, happy in their wedlock. they raised him well over the years, teaching him right from wrong, although he didn't take much notice. at the age of eight he was apprenticed to a royal guard and under the grouchy old man he learnt many skills, including how to fight. at the age of sixteen his mentor retired and al became a fully-fledged guard. through the many skirmishes and battles he took part in for his kingdom he has been given the honor of being captain.

Born to the beloved King and Queen, Aeron is the prince and sole heir to the Seulghem throne. He is generally popular amongst his people; the younger generation taken in by his charismatic ways and idealistic vision. However there are skeptics amongst those elder and wiser, for they see both the good and the bad; as endless as his charm seems to be; Aeron is reckless, with hot-blood running through his veins. All through his childhood, Aeron was a rebellious little boy with quick wit and a mouth that got him into no end of trouble with his tutors. As far as he was concerned; he was the Prince, he could damn well do what he liked. This is a theory that he still exercises today.

Aeron is a red-blooded male, driven primarily by want and lust. Even at the age of twenty, it is ill-advised to try and count how many potential bastards he has pattering around the more shady areas of the city. He is a risk taker, which he channels through his love of gambling. More recently, with the pressures of the war closing in and rumours amongst the commoners of a forced marriage with the enemy being the best option, Aeron has taken to drinking. He has even become engaged in drunken brawls, something not befitting of a Prince. More often than not, he tries to find his redemption in the embrace of a woman. To this day, he has never had a woman say 'no' to his charms; he is good-looking and fail that, everyone knows of his stature. It wouldn't hurt for him to finally meet his match and have his advances spurned for once. Aeron is a little chauvinistic, his general opinion being that where women are made to serve; men are made to rule. This opinion could be changed if he came across a woman who actually challenged him. His chauvenistic qualities are more down to his upbringing than anything else. The notion that a women could beat him on the battlefield has never once entered his mind and, quite frankly, it would mortify him.

Despite all his pitfalls and flaws, Aeron has many redeeming features; both on a public and personal level. He has many good leadership qualities and is generous to his people. Although he may not always heed advice, he will listen to any offered to him. Aeron has a relaxed confidence about him, and can easily inspire faith and morale in those who choose to follow him. On a more personal level, Aeron values his friendships higher than anything else and will always have the backs of those he considers his closest friends. Also, he will only be fully open with his most trusted allies, showing a more softer, philosophical side; much older than his years. Of course, he daren't show this side to anyone else; appearances must be kept up and all that!
