The Sanctuary

Storyline

You are a young wolf. Born in the Sanctuary, you spend most of your life exploring, hunting, and surviving throughout the lands. Wolves from all around the world had been brought in, branching off into two different packs.
The packs live in peace. They share territory, and trade resources to avoid dying out.

Theres the ValleyPack, and the MountainPack

ValleyPack wolves are sweet, caring canines.
They live in a field surrounded by lakes and waterfalls.
They usually hunt from the water,
but have been seen dragging deer and other large prey into their territory.

SwampPack wolves are a bit rough around the edges.
They live around the wetlands near ValleyPack.
These Canines Hunt big prey, and have to fend off several types of creatures.

Birch blinked open her bright amber eyes, scanning the environment.
She had fallen asleep in a flower field near her den.
Birch stretched and shook out her pelt.
She then made her way around the territory, going place to place, making sure they had enough resources.
Nobody else seemed to be awake yet, though. "Plenty of food.. Plenty of Herbs.."
She murmured to herself, crossing them of the list.
Birch then walked around, freely patrolling the area.

a cold breeze swept through the wetlands as a large grey and white wolf nestled deeper into her nest, not ready to start the day; blinking her dark amber orbs her thoughts drifted to her mate- the Beta male of her pack. groaning at the thought of him being upset with her sleeping in yet again the well muslced female slowly emerged from her den in the Swamppack camp. flicking her thick tail she scanned the camp, taking note of who all was awake not many I see she thought, shaking her large head.

stifling a yawn a young reddish brown and cream brute stretched in his nest, paws reaching forward and tail curling behind him; he was careful not to hit or bump any of his fellow denmates. satisfied with his stretch the young Hunter happily emerged from the den he shared in the Vallypack camp, scanning the camp with his yellow orbs Finch let out a soft whine, disappointed that there was no one awake he could bother.

Birch continued patrolling the area, when a certain plant caught her attention.
She stopped abruptly, and walked towards it. She identified it as a Bat Flower.
They were a rare site, hardly ever grown in this area.
Birch carefully dug up the flower, root and all.
She picked them up, then began walking back towards her den.

Frost

Frost twitched in his sleep.
He tossed and turned all night. this resulted in him hardly getting any sleep.
He woke up as soon as the sun rose, and stretched his muscles.
Frost walked out of his den, heading towards the hunting grounds.
He didn't see anyone else awake, but went on a hunt anyway.

Elysium awoke to the sound of the birds and a light wind brushing against their coat. The Russian wolf stood to their paws quickly, as being a hunter means you have to wake early to go get food for the rest of the pack. Elysium slightly growled in annoyance. When walking out of the den, they saw a fellow hunter Frost walking towards the hunting grounds. The dark-furred wolf bowed their head as a greeting to the other hunter and trotted past him. Elysium thought elk would do good, but maybe for lunch. It was still dawn, and they were still tired from last nights sleep. So the hunter thought a smaller prey, such as rabbit, trout, or various types of birds would do well. With that in mind, Elysium trotted towards the hunting grounds where most prey could be found. All of a sudden The Russian wolf heard a squeak and grass rustling to the left of them. The hunter got down low to the ground and crawled towards the source of the sound. Finally seeing two jackrabbit ears prop up from the feather weed, they pounced. Killing the animal quickly. Proud of their accomplishment, they picked up the animals in their jaw and walked to the a pre-dug hole they always put prey in when hunting.

Frost nodded back to the Elysium.
He had seen them around before, but not interacted much.
The male turned around and walked towards them.
"Hello there."
Frost plopped down in a clover patch somewhat close to Elysium.

The dark brown female woke before the sun once again from yet another nightmare. It was one that has been plaguing her for months and she had yet to find an herb around that would help her sleep peacefully through the night. Rising to her paws, the large tundra wolf shook out her pelt before stretching and reclining to her haunches. Olive hued orbs scanned the area just outside the cave, it was clear and silent which was no surprise to her since no one was usefully up at this hour. When the first rays of sunlight began to show, she rose to her paws and headed out of the den to go and gather some herbs. She was running low on a few of them and needed to replenish them and she also wanted to see if she could find anything new. She really wanted to see if she could find something to help her sleep better, she was growing tired of eating the bitter poppy seeds which only helped her drift off and not really keep her asleep.
