The Land of Gold; a green, beautiful mountainous realm where all the creatures of earth and sky come together peacefully as one. The land where griffins rule as a connection between earth and sky from the kings of each, the Lion and the Eagle. Griffins are proud creatures, loving the togetherness of all creatures, well.. some. there is a band of griffins called the Branded Peacekeepers, and peacekeeping is not what they do. Created by the highest ranking creatures of the land, the Branded Peacekeepers were originally meant to restore peace among quarreling species. For centuries, the Branded Peacekeepers protected the balance of life in The Land of Gold. The leader of the Keepers was overthrown by a black-hearted Gryphon named Shard, who was the son and heir to the position. His father was told by a skylight that his son would cause grave danger and destroy the land if he were to gain power. Instead of giving his position to Shard, he replaced him with his brother, Mackerel, who was killed in the takeover. Shard, the bloodthirsty leader of the Branded Peacekeepers is now set on taking over the Land of Gold to become king. He promised his followers that they will each rule portions of the land when he takes over.
Now, Shard has taken over almost half of the Realm of Gold. The rebellion is slowly coming together to stop Shard and his allies. It is up to you to decide what will happen. Will the Wings of Gold stop Shard and end his bloody tyranny, or will Shard take over the Land of gold and destroy all that the ancestors had built over thousands of centuries?

RULES

1.)***important** for pictures... to use the griffon maker i did, go to: here otherwise, make sure it is YOUR ART to use. credit it if needed. if you are playing as another creature, then please try to use a maker like that one. if not then make sure it follows Tess' rules. (for further instructions on how to upload your creation, go to the next post)
2.) ALL of Tess' rules apply
3.) don't be rude please.
4.) this is not a semi lit or lit roleplay. you do not need to type paragraphs. mirror each others' posts
5.) use correct grammar. as you see, i use my commas and apostrophes. (i know i don't capitalize much. it's just how i type. that's my only problem.)
6.)this roleplay is about griffins. you must have a griffon character in order to play another creature please. we don't need to have the roleplay about something else than what was intended. (if there are more creatures than griffons, DONT make another creature)
7.) when out of context, use (){} [] please.
8.) no advertizing other roleplays, unless it is in your signature
9.)no cussing, this is child friendly. you may use dang, darn, freaking, etc. do not abbreviate with $ or *** or you will be kicked out of the roleplay and reported.
10.)have fun with this roleplay, but pm me if you want something major to happen
11.) go with the storyline.
12.) no extreme randomness (ex: Joe felt terrible and decided it would be best to jump off a cliff)
13.) no gary/mary sues (ex. Joe felt so terrible that he decided it would be best to run away and be sad and lonely for the rest of his life with nobody to love. poor sad Joe.)
14.) if you have a Branded Peacekeeper, use them only if there is fighting. they will not be used as a main character.
15.) i hope you enjoyed my rules.
16.) stay on the bright side. nothing too extreme to the point where it's too depressing to reply to. (hint: # 13 and 12)

Types of Gryphons:

Air: the 'original' gryphon. usually eagle and lion. ranging from horse size, lion size, or larger(no extremes)
hawks eagles most owls big birds of prey.
big cats lions, cheetahs tigers, etc.

Earth: specializes in digging, running smaller in size. ranging from tiny to cat size to dog size smaller birds some without flight, small birds. hummingbirds, finches, sparrows, swans, parrots, etc.
small mammals within the feline family. housecats, ferrals, foxes, small wildcats, bobcats, cheetah etc.

Water: RARE medium sized. dog to pony size. specializes in swimming.
water birds ducks, swans, egrets, pelicans, seagulls, etc.
