Phoenix stopped fooling around and finally turned to see his brother. Churl's leg was worse than he thought, and Phoenix immediately assumed the worst. The foaming-mouth disease was catching up to him.
"What's going to happen?" Trill asked.
Phoenix shuddered, pressing closer to his packmate. "The same thing that happened to me," he murmured worriedly, "when I first found my power."

"Stand down," Solara commanded. Churl was evidently losing his grip on reality. His eyes flickered between anger and horror, and he was lashing his tail furiously.
"Don't come near me!" With a snarl, the large black wolf lunged at his mother, but he was intercepted by Felon.
"You heard her. Now-"
Churl twisted and sank his fangs into his packmate's paw. Solara rushed forward, pinning down her son completely. Felon stepped back, her gaze blank with shock. Behind her, Maggot howled with terror and Recreant snarled fearfully.

Trill growled at Churl. She pressed closer to Phoenix and she shook in fear. The ground started shaking with her. Trill knew what would happen next. "Look out Solara!" She yelled, dragging Felon to safety before pushing Solara away from Churl. She edged forward across the cracked ground. "Churl.... I don't want to hurt you..." Her nervousness caused the ground to crack round Churl. "There is nothing to be afraid of." She was half talking to herself as she took deep breaths. "The ground started connecting but Churls snarls made the ground crack more. It was protecting her. She forced the ground closed but it was being stubborn and soon she was having an open-close war.

"Let me take it from here," Solara said and leaned down. "My son, you need to relax."
"Get away from me! You need to-" Churl snarled before his voice returned to normal. "You need to make it stop. Please, mother, I can't-" Another tortured snarl escaped his throat.
Solara furrowed her brows. "Pups... please look away."

"Aaah! Make it stop before you kill us all," Recreant growled as the ground began to crack. "We're underground you little twerp."
"Don't use her pup name, you hideous brat!" Felon snapped, but held herself back from lunging. "Wait. Let's not fight right now. It's too dangerous."
Maggot whimpered and hid his head under his paws.

"I-I" Grey stammered and made water flow to churls neck "I-I don't want-t to hu-u-rt you..." She said trembling. Churl seemed to turn into her father. she had to kill her father to save the pack. her brother. who died from blood loss. just like her mother. she saw her sister look away in full throw fear "Please...i can't do Anything to help you...you got to get control of yourself.." She didn't know what to say. She was trembling while she held the water to his neck trembling in constant fear as she remembered doing the same thing to her father

The cold water was touching Solara, who was not amused. "Can you let me have a moment with my own son?" she asked, her ears pricking as she turned to face Grey. Phoenix was crouching on the ground, looking completely horrified.

Trill spun to look at Recreant. "Don't call me that. Please." She said as she returned to Phoenix's side. She was looking the opposite direction. She knew what would happen but she looked at Felon. "Thanks for um... telling Recreant not to call me that." She had never really talked to Felon. She stayed by Phoenix's side.

"S-s-sorry..." Grey said her paws trembling as she let the water fall like her heart as she killed her own father. she fell to the floor. it hurt using her powers now.

She was unconscious.

Her eyes slowly closed. it sounds as if stars came down to her and touched her face. She was cold.
Not dead.
Just cold. it was so cold. she couldn't tell why it was cold, it was freezing. then she found herself at a place were she wished never to be in. at the same place were she killed her father. There were snarls from her brother as he pelted his father wish flames of fire breath, And poppy was in a bunny form hiding next to their mother with wide eyes. having the pups who died seconds later. Grey grabbed water and surrounded his neck while thee cold water made it icy. then she slit his neck. he fell to the ground. wordless. dead. The cold feeling was returning. it was horrible

Trill spun to look at Recreant. "Don't call me that. Please." She said as she returned to Phoenix's side. She was looking the opposite direction. She knew what would happen but she looked at Felon. "Thanks for um... telling Recreant not to call me that." She had never really talked to Felon. She stayed by Phoenix's side.

Trill gently grabbed Grey and dragged her away from Churl. She splashed water in her face.

"No problem," Felon told Trill before looking at her own injured paw. What was she going to do? Felon was a soldier, and she couldn't outlive her usefulness. She would sooner die than become a burden. Felon didn't want to wait until she came down with the disease, since she was too strong, too well-trained. She risked hurting more wolves than Churl did.
She couldn't allow that to happen.
"It's been an honor being your packmate, Trill," she said before approaching Solara with her head bowed.
"I'm next."

Solara nodded once to Felon, before taking a deep breath. She placed her paws on her son's neck, the way she had done to Phoenix. But Churl wouldn't be coming back.
This would be goodbye.
"Good night, my baby son," she murmured.

Phoenix yelped when he heard a loud snapping noise, and he moved closer to Trill. "I don't even want to look," he whimpered and looked down at Grey. "Is she okay?"

Trill watched Felon. "An honour to be yours as well." She said. She honoured a wolf who gave their life for the greater good. She looked down at Grey and tried to ignore the snapping noise. "She's fine. Just got over stressed and blacked out. She'll be awake soon I'm sure." She nudged Phoenix. "I'm sorry for your loss." She looked over to Solara as she pressed up to Phoenix, trying to comfort him.
