The branch he's resting too started to crack- he didn't know! He didn't know that the tree's old. He looked at the tree to find it old. Absolutely.

He reacted as the tree made another new painful crack as the branch he's on started to fall, he jumped to catch the cliffside but...

He didn't make it. The cliff is too high and doesn't have steel inside.
