Getting far enough in the cave to escape the rain but yet not to intrude I smile, "I just came to check on you." I say. "Are you doing ok?" I ask.

Ebony sighed and nodded. "Fine, thanks." He turned his back to her. "Anything else?"

Maple River woke up and yawned. There was nothing to do. Suddenly she realized she hadn't eaten in days! She was so hungry!

Sitting down I watch him, "Why are you so cold?" I ask. I didn't mean to intrude into his personal you life but I did wonder why he didn't want to interact with any one.
