Plot
Before you, stands one of the Elders of the Ceta Republic's Convocation of Elders. The head of House Belamont, with a sphere of influence in maritime trade, as well as being well known for its riches and skills in information brokerage. And now, she has approached you, the crew of The Prosperity, to undertake a task for her.
"By now, I'm sure you are aware of the Whispering Sea and the Black Pearl Islands, and how very few that journey there return. It's recently, however, getting to the point that the trade here in Ceta is getting affected, and no doubt is affecting other places."
Of course, The Whispering Sea. A place where foolhardy pirates and sailors attempt to discover the supposed treasures, only to be met with a cold, harsh end as the waters suddenly become rougher, the fog thicker and ships destroyed swiftly. Very few return. No one dares speak of their experience. Within the sea, is an archipelago of small islands, known as the Black Pearl Islands, and are said to each have hidden treasures that more than make up for the extremely high risk of journeying there.
The Elder continues. "Given your recent successes and rising... notority. I have a proposition for you. Find out what is causing the ships to disappear, and why. I only require the information, so that I and the Convocation of Elders can discuss how to proceed. If you do so, you're free to keep whatever treasures you obtain from the Black Pearl Islanda. I shall also gift you several silver pearls, that, as I'm sure you know, will fetch a high price. Additionally, I can have your ship equipped with the latest in steampowered submarine technology, and plenty of supplies to keep you fed and watered."
The proposal is a tempting one... but also incredibly risky. But if the Elder is willing for all that just for some information, then it would be foolish to not accept, right? She'd just make the offer to the next viable crew. Still, the Captain eagerly accepts the offer, and before you know it, The Prosperity is kitted out with a new submarine and more supplies than you're used to it having, and you're setting off towards the Whispering Sea.
Who knows what you'll discover? Who knows who you'll meet? And are the legends of how dangerous it is really true? You're about to find out... so get prepared, sailor!
Yes another roleplay, I have too many ideas.
