The Story:

Long ago, before their were humans on earth, their was simply spirits that ruled the earth. Over all of the spirits were the Moon, Earth, and Life spirits. Earth wanted someone to care for and love, so they created Man and Woman. Man and Woman lived happily on the earth, but the spirits saw that the humans were weak. They needed warriors to protect them. So, each of the great spirits created warriors: Moon created Howlers and Light created Quell. Quell were magnificent, each stunningly beautiful and powerful. The Howlers were powerful animal spirits, but they were ugly. They had teeth, claws and fur. Both of the races were blessed with powers to protect the humans. But, when the humans met the two new races, they were terrified of the Howlers. The Howlers turned on the Quell and the humans. Eventually, the Howlers banished the Quell underground out of jealously. Still, the humans were terrified of the Howlers. The Howlers were forced to hide in the forest. They struggled to survive, living like half starved animals. The Quell, on the other hand, flourished underground. Together the Quell created a paradise.

Present day:

The humans have long since forgotten about the magical species. The Howlers and Quell have been at war for centuries. The old hatred is still burning strong and everyone is sick of the fighting. A lot has changed since the early days. it is rumored that there even Quell and Howlers that have fallen in love. Their children are half Howler/ half Quell. Though, the war still rages on. Lately, things have been quiet between the two races, too quiet.... There is rumor of an attack among the soldiers.

𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔔𝔲𝔢𝔩𝔩:

They are magical creatures, similar to pixies or gnomes that protect the earth. They have special magic powers and are easily recognized by their colored hair ( look down below for the chart). The Quell are mischievous and fierce fighters. They rarely come to the surface for fear of Howlers and Humans. They live peacefully in Solodin and still flourish today. Most Quell live in luxury or at least in middle class. They mostly wear Middle ages/steampunk inspired clothing( like this pictures below). Their government is a hierarchy, they have live under a king and noblemen. The Soldiers, the Roal Guard, Protects the city. They fight the Howlers and are an important part of the society. Their symbol is the sun.

The Quell have powers based on thier hair color ( You may have UP TO THREE) :

Red: Superhuman ability
Orange: Shapeshift into things or animals.
Yellow: Energy control, heat
Green: Earth powers, including metal.
Blue: Fly, teleport
Pink: Invisibility
Grey: Have control over tech
White: Telekinesis
Purple: Healing To others as well as self
Black: Absorb other powers (temporarily)
Maroon: Control over water

The Howlers are a type of werewolf. They have three forms; an animal, anthro, and a human form. They are able to change into ONE animal, based on their personality. The Howlers live in the Aboveground. Their small village is hidden in the forest. Even after all these years, they struggle to survive. Most Howlers are basically starving. They live like wild animals ( or at least that's what the Quell think). Most wear tattered clothes and nearly all go barefoot. They have very simple lives. Each Howler works the benefit the ENTIRE pack/tribe. Every Howler, except children and the elders, must fight. The Howlers call each other Brother and Sister as respect. They live in a democracy, where each Howler has a voice. The Alpha male and Female are in charge of the pack. The Howler symbol is the moon.

For Howlers: You may be ANY animal ( besides fish)

A fire has started in the forest! Though it appears to be a just small fire, it is a serious danger to the Howlers living in the forest. The fire smells strongly of chemicals, so it appears that humans have caused the fire. But, many Howlers feel that the Quell are to blame. At this point, it doesn't seem to matter who caused it, only that something is done about it. The Alpha may need to evacuate the Howler village if the fire gets any closer, but... where will they go?

It was a beautiful early morning in in Solodin. The enchanted sun lit up the “sky”, casting a warm glow over the underground city. The energy Quell really outdid themselves in creating this “sunrise”. Sunrises in Solodin were a bit different than those in the Aboveworld, but just as beautiful. Hawthorne watched the sky light up in various shades of orange and light pink. As the sunlight hit his face, the usually stony-faced man smiled a bit to himself. Even he couldn’t help but admire the beauty of a simple sunrise. Hawthorne looked out at the city, seeing Quell just beginning to wake and slowly begin to go about their days. He loved seeing the beautiful sunrise and the sleepy city. Dawn was his favorite part of the day. From where he sat, he could see all the Quell city- his city. Of course, the King and Queen ruled over the city. But, Hawthorne really knew Solodin better than anyone. He knew every part of the city as if it where the back of his hand, from the castle to the darker sections of the city. He loved Solodin more than any other Quell. But, more importantly, he cared deeply about the people. The young man had a good relationship with many of the Quell. Hawthorne watched as Quell began to come out of their houses and get ready for the day. He knew most Quell’s routines by now. He had spent years seeing this same view, from this same spot on the cliff overlooking the city. First, the baker would open his shop, then the farmers would go off to the fields and merchants would open their small shops along the market. Very little had changed in the city over the years. Sure enough, the baker opened his shop, the smell of baked goods filling the square. Hawthorne smiled to himself as he watched the citizens below him. They most likely didn’t notice him quietly sitting up here on the cliff. Hawthorne stood and stretched, coming out of his deep thoughts.He had originally planned for his soldiers to practice maneuvers at dawn, but since he was in such a good mood, he had decided to postpone it. Instead, Hawthorne decided to go down into the square and get a little breakfast. The smell of fresh bread coming from the bakery made his stomach growl. As Hawthorne walked through the city, he greeted Quell in a friendly manner. He was very well known throughout Solodin. But, even though he was relaxed and friendly, Hawthorne kept an eye out for trouble. The Quell city had been peaceful for a while, but he knew it wouldn’t last forever.

ℬ𝓪𝓼𝓲𝓵/ 𝓠𝓾𝒆𝓵𝓵/ ℒ𝓸𝓬𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷: Solodin's Castle / 𝓣𝓪𝓰𝓼: Hamilton? Open

The warm light from Solodin's sun cast a cheerful glow over the beautiful, but imposing castle. Basil woke slowly as the sun filtered through her bedroom window. As usual, she had stayed up nearly all night and woke up late. Basil muttered to herself grouchily as someone knocked on her door- most likely a servant or a lady-in-waiting. " Time to get up, your highness " A female voice called from behind the door. Basil sighed unhappily and rolled out of bed. Still a little grouchy, she got ready for the day. After changing into a deep purple dress with gold trim and putting up her hair ( with the help of her lady in waiting), she headed downstairs for breakfast. She sat at the long table, hoping she wasn't to terribly late. Basil knew Hawthorne was out as usual, probably marching his soldiers or something, but she hoped to see Hamilton. Basil was painfully shy, but she did open up a bit around most of her brothers and sisters.

ᒍᙀᑎIᑭᙓᖇ/ ᕼOᙎᒪᙓᖇ/ ᒪOᙅᗩTIOᑎ: Howler village, the boarders and waterfall / TᗩᘜS: open

In the Aboveworld, the real sun was rising slowly. The forest was filled with it’s warm light, giving the an almost etherical feel. The whole forest was beautiful, except for the small, dilapidated Howler village. The village wasn’t quite as peaceful as Solodin. Most Howlers had been up long before the sun rose. Many scouts and hunters had already left camp, looking for good prey. Juniper was among one of the scouting parties. He was patrolling the borders between Solodin and the forest. He could see the giant water fall that separated the two worlds, but he didn’t dare wander any closer. Juniper surveyed the area, hoping that he wouldn’t find any Quell on Howler land. He didn’t want any conflict between the two races. Juniper hated being apart of the war, but he was a Howler. If he saw a Quell, he would be forced to confront them.

Donnie wore a zombie-like expression across his face as he stared into the rich drink known as coffee. For the past couple of weeks he had hardly got any sleep due to his newest invention and had solely been running on coffee, light meals, and the daily use of his healing ability to keep his body from shutting down. Still, after weeks of the same old harsh routine he put himself through, the lack of sleep and proper nourishment took a toll on him.
As the 'sun' rose, Donnie hissed at the light that made his eyes sting and water a little. He rubbed them, cursing mildly under his breath. Grumpy, he grabbed his drink and stood from the small table he'd been sitting at. The only reason he was out and about was because he ran out of coffee beans at home so he purchased more in great quantity. Now he wouldn't have to actually come out of his self-made lab anymore than he wanted too.
With a bundle of coffee beans in one hand and coffe in the other, he made his way down the Square. Mentally he was thinking if he needed to buy anything else for his newest invention or maybe buy a new book on different kinds of poisons and elixirs? Maybe a book on psychology?!
He smiled to himself, perhaps he should just read 'The Art of War' for the millionth time. Shoot, he practically memorized that book by now. It was one of his favorites. Yawning, he glanced around at the lively people setting up those shops and milling about. "Simplicity at its best" he mumbled, green eyes narrowing with arrogance.
