Your time is very precious. Some people give up a little bit of their time to have something they cannot. The most common thing one gets for giving up time is love.
Plot
You live in a world where time can be played with by the ones with magic. The ones with magic are those few who can do amazing things, including control time. They can also make wild things happen for anyone, but they have to have give up something for them in return, their time. You have given up some of your time for something big, but how will losing this time affect you?
Time to You
Different amounts of time is given up for varies reasons. For example if you wanted to get a better grade on that test, you would lose a day or two of your life. But for the more precious things in life, like love, could take years away. The ones with magic gather the time they are given from the day they are born. They use this time to make themselves immortal.

You live in a small town with houses ranging from large to small. The larger houses are usually lived in by the ones with magic.The smallest are the ones trying not to turn in their time.
