Gifted with a Curse (Roleplay)

Long ago, your ancestors were born with a power. The powers of earth, water, air, fire, weather, light, ice, life and death. These were considered powers of the Gods, until they realized these gifts, could turn to curses. The powers would turn out of control. Fire would burn, ice would freeze, and death would kill. The earth would cause natural disasters as it teamed up with weather, water and air. Even the power of life was dangerous. If it fell into the wrong hands, they would have control of the earths population and bring back those who should stay dead. Trials were held against these 9 people who were gifted with curses.

Now it's modern day and little do they know, but many young teenagers and children will soon learn there new destiny as the holders of these powers. Who knows if there are already some in hiding. Some have power assistants, which are pets which help out and boost their magical abbility. Not everyone has them. These are normally found in animals. (Earth powers have dogs, water powers have turtles, air powers have doves, fire powers have horses, weather powers have bears, light powers have ferrets, ice powers have deer/reindeer, life powers have cats and death powers have undefined creatures from another world.)Now these people have to team up, get rid of the bad name to there powers, control the gift/curse, and stay alive all at once... Because the hunters will get you.

And one more thing. There were lab expirements. Some people with the powers were not born with them, but rather created. These people have as we like to call it, artificial powers, but are some times twice as strong. They can be very dangerous working on the labs side, but against it, very powerful. These people may have the normal powers but are more likely to have the power of electricity. These people, are said to be rare and in hiding. They sometimes have a power helper of a hologram animal.

There were nine original people who were gifted powers, but in four of the peopls power genes there was a disease and the genes died off, but later that disease came again and may have given some people powers but they are in hiding. More people were given them in labs, but they are also in hiding. No one knows yet and they never should.

How she got her power, Her great, great, great, great grandmother was gifted this power, it continued through her genes to her son who passed it to his twins. Only one of them recived it though and, the twin who got it was her mother and she got it from her mother.
Are they in hiding, no she hides he powers but is friends with a girl named Aria in the same situation and they practice together, they have heard of there bing three others but the dont know 4 of the original genes died off.
Dothey have a power assistant, yes it is an albino kitty who will stay a baby forever and live forever.

History/how they got there power: when she was 15, her parents were fighting. She got really mad because they were making her younger brother and herself "stay out of it". She thought she was mature enough but she really wasn't. She went off into the forest and stomped her foot hard on the ground. All of the sudden the Earth growled, as to say welcome. She waved her hands through the air and the trees shook. All of the sudden she heard chattering of the squirrels, though it was different, she could actually understand them. Her great great great great great great grandfather had this power before. He had passed it down knowing one day a girl would take it away.

Are they in hiding: Not in hiding from the entire world but in hiding from the de hunters that remain. She does her research. But it doesn't mean she doesn't use her powers once in a while... Everyday...

Do they have a power assistant: Yes, she has Rufus, her dog. They communicate a lot back and forth. He helps her with the un easy translation between animal and human as well as building the taller things such as walls with shrubbery to keep out the "hunters". Yes, they practice.

Any additional information: The only people alive who know of her power are her father, grandfather and brother. Her brother knows because he almost had it and her father passed it down to her and her grandfather passed it down to him. Also, her best friends are constantly wondering why she's acting so strange, except for Ali who is the only person she knows with another power. I guess I just kinda contradicted what I said before. And Rufus is a golden retriever who constantly looks like a chocolate lab because he's always rolling in mud. She believes he was a pig in previous lives.

History: has been best friends with Aria since they were 4. They were super tight. But lately, Aria seems distracted. She is acting strangely...

age. Sixteen years of age. He's only a couple of minutes younger than his twin Sylvia.
gender. Male.
power. Air. The sky is his kingdom, one might say. He inherited his gift from his dad.
personality. While his sister is passion, Mat is perseverance. He meets every struggle with a optimistic mind and a reasonable heart. It is he who gets his sister out of her hand-created messes, as this teenager was born with the gift of words. When Mat believes that there is a chance for them to win, when there's that twist of hope in his heart, he will refuse to back down, and will stubbornly move forth. The opposite of his twin, Mathias is mature and uses logic in most situations. However, there is an extent to the amount of pressure he can take in. For when this teenager cracks, he fratures entirely, shattering like shards of glass. At times, one might consider the boy apathetic, for while he cares for his sister, Mat always puts her first before helping those around him. Occasionally, he's a bit slow helping the outer world.
appearance. Mathias has an odd taste in clothing. At times, he will even wear nail polish and clothes that divvy towards the feminine line if the stakes are high enough. Other times - he's just trying to be edgy, to stand out from the crowd of mundanes around him. For the most part, Mat wears hoodies, complete with jeans and a simple t-shirt. He owns a singular pair of shoes; size-9 black converse. Unlike most guys, Mathias has a daintier sort of build - a lithe shape with a narrow waistline.
history. Mathias grew up knowing he was different. Unlike his sister, his powers aren't as visible, so he was never directly discouraged to turn away his curse. Rather - the two of them were trained in their gifts to work together, as Mathias could easily augment her fire affinity, thus making it stronger.
