The Plague (Post-apocalyptic, New and Accepting!)

In 2028, tensions began to rise between Russia and the USA. Eventually, Russia unleashed a weapon on the USA. A plague. It was extremely deadly, an infected person could go from being perfectly healthy to dead in a week. There was no cure. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, Russia made a serious mistake, and, due to travel, the plague spread to the entire world.
Early on, quarantines were set up to keep the infected out of the general public. Eventually, after the plague had spread too far, the quarantines switched to places for the healthy to stay. Now everyone outside the quarantines is dead. You are a person living in the quarantines, specifically one not far from New York CIty. Some people believe they're immune and travel outside the quarantine to gather supplies, but not all are actually immune. Another subset want to leave and find a way to travel to Russia, believing there's a cure there. Most simply await the final end of an already gone civilization.
The quarantines were originally just for the infected, but have been enlarged since then, and instead of the original two rooms full of beds, there are now two rooms full of beds, one for females and one for males, a large commons area, a kitchen, a dining hall, and a gym. People are free to go anywhere, except the other gender's room.

All characters will be given a number when they are accepted, this will be used to randomly determine if they become infected if they leave the quarantines.
If your character becomes infected, they'll die. No magic recoveries.'
