This was the reason for our destruction. The reason that we had to
pick up, and leave the land we called our own. Earth as we knew
it was being torn apart by the seams, by a force unknown,
unstoppable by any army that man could create at the time. The
force ripped through our militaries, conquering whatever was
left of our apocalyptic world. Some billion people were wiped
out within the first year of the raging war. They called
themselves Armonian. We called them the Anarchists.
Everyone's thoughts were the exact same:
How would we manage to destroy
the force and reclaim our home, Earth?
Most thought it impossible. They believed that Earth was being
razed by the Anarchist forces. It was not because they had
number, nor due to their superior technology. We could've
handled that, but these creatures were bread to kill.
Everything, down to the bone, suggested that they were made to
dominate and conquer anything they wanted, the world was
their playhouse. They had superior eyesight. Their bodies were
their own weapons. They could run at high speeds, making them
impossible to catch. Natural born killers.
We thought we couldn't kill them, thought we were finished. At
least, most of us did.
There was a group of humans who still had hope that, with the
right weaponry, with the right team, the right skill, we could
protect our homeland from the Anarchists. This same team
employed the help of a fallen government and were launched
into space, into the International Space Station, sent to give
the station a new purpose, many, actually. Now, it was not
only a space station, but a base, a research facility, a defense
mechanism. They renamed the International Space Station
Ares, classifying the entire project as "Zeus". It has been
hidden from the waking world, and still is to this day.
We know this force as the Olympians.
They were the elitists when it came to dominating the
aliens themselves, but they were not the only band set out
to kill the aliens. Some Olympians would divert from the
division and create a band of rogue survivors, who fought
against the Anarchists by their own rules.
So, who were you? Were you one of the mighty Olympians,
fighting for the sake of our Earth's survival? Were you a
cowering civilian, who stood by while the Earth was
dominated? Or were you a rogue, banding together in
a group to overcome the government and the aliens,
both at once?
