A Fantasy Roleplay.
Backstory:
There's a world on the other side of a stone gate. An entire world. Can you imagine that? A simple stone gate in northern Idaho that leads to a world of unimaginable importance. Though you may not know it yet, your destiny lays beyond that granite doorway. You're drawn to that small town, to the obsolete country farm where the doorway is located.
On the other side of the stone gate, the Elder Gate, you find the world called Eturya. It's a fantastical world split into Four Kingdoms; the North, East, West, and South Kingdoms. Each Kingdom has a native faction of Creature Guardians.
The North Kingdom's faction is Wolf. When you are born, you're given a wolf pup that's born on the exact same day as you. They're slightly larger than Earth wolves, and are the same colors as Earth's canines.
The East Kingdom is home to the Avian Faction. These birds aren't like anything on earth. They're large, and come in any color you could imagine. They're so big you can ride them, and they're also given to you on the day of your (and their) birth.
The West Kingdom's native Faction is also Wolf. They branched off from the North Kingdom in the first Great War. The West is slowly being taken over by The Shadow, a corrupting force that lurks in their kingdom and is slowly taking the South Kingdom along with.
The South Kingdom is home to the Equine Faction. They look just like Earth horses, except they're larger. And the same deal, they're assigned to you at birth. The West Kingdom is slowly taking them over, and when that happens, they'll move as one and try to take the North and East.
Where you come in:
Your character can either come from Eturya or Earth. Be fairly close to Idaho or in the state if you're on Earth. You can have as many characters as you want as long as you can keep track of them. If you're from Earth, and you go through the Elder Gate with the other humans, you'll get to pick what Kingdom you head into. You don't know which is evil/good, you just pick. When you're there, you're assigned a Core. This Core is kept in a small bottle around your neck. It glows faintly, and it's your favorite color. If you lose your color, you won't be able to do magic. Also, you're given an animal and a weapon of your choice.

History (optional, or just a few words): She lived in Idaho with her grandparents and sister, then moved out when she found the Gate. She's been in Etuyra for about 3 years. Her family is the royal family of the North Kingdom, and her granny (Claire) was the queen in the first Great War.

Weight/Build: Lean, Muscular. Extremely strong. He exercises a lot by climbing trees and such. He works outside most of the time, since he is part of the Royal Guard.

Core color: Orange, same as his wolf's.
Weapon of choice: A double edged small ax. About three feet long.

Personality: Semi outgoing, but tends to keep to himself most of the time. He went through a childhood trauma which makes him very sensitive to certain things. He tends to try and stay out of fights but will protect people when he can.
History (optional, or just a few words): When he and his parents were camping, Khalil got separated from his parents during a hike. After a few hours of searching, he heard commotion nearby. He heard screams and the roaring of a bear. The screams cut off, and after a while of being scared, Khalil went to investigate. The bear had left, but he had left behind Khalil's dead parents.
After that, he went to live with his aunt and uncle in Idaho. He found the gate, since he went to the same school with Rose for a few years. They're like brother and sister now.

Personality: He's very cunning and a genius when it comes to battle strategy. He doesn't like most people, and has a very strong hatred toward the North Kingdom. His brother is the King of the North, and he even hates his brother. He blows people off when he loses interest in the conversation, and isn't very merciful. If he sets out to do something, he will most likely be able to do it.
History (optional, or just a few words): When he and his brother were young, his father set out to fight in the first Great War. Their father was killed by the previous King of the North. The North Kingdom soldiers stormed the West's capitol city, and took Kathirok's brother. He was raised in the North and became the King there. Kathirok was stricken by his brother's loss, and grew up to become the West's king. He didn't know his brother (Magnis) became the King until he was older. Kathirok lost his eye in the second Great War, courtesy of Magnis. He's been out to get him ever since, and he became immortal. The Shadow granted him his immortality.
