Ilia bit her lip, deciding not to mention that the Shadow already had her. "Those who know of me care nothing about me. If someone who wanted to catch me found me, they would not know how to tell if it was really me. I know how to avoid those who would wish to make trouble for me." She sighed. "It is a difficult life, but it is mine, and I would not change it."

I hum a tune I learned in one of the taverns back in the White City. I spent a lot of my time there, buying foolish merchants drinks, and then stealing their coins when they were passed out. I made a lot of my wealth that way, and working as a mercenary.
"Snow, I was going to ask you something." I say to the white wolf.
"Yes?" He asks expectantly, leaping over a log.
I step over the same log and reply, "Remember when we were in that one tavern. What was it? The Sullen Knight?"
Snow thinks this over for a minute, his white brows scrunching up in thought. I'm still getting used to animals having facial expressions and being able to talk.
His orange eyes light up as he remembers, "Ahh yes. Which time though? We've stayed there many times."
"The time when we fought those disguised Shadow guards."
"Oh! That was a great fight."
"Yes, it was. And then those one --"
I'm interrupted by the beating of leathery wings.

Ilia smiled faintly. "Nowhere specific. I ought to find shelter. A safe place to take care of this doe, and eat, and rest for the night."

"You can come stay with me, I have a small cottage outside of town, so nobody would see you," Devon offered. The horse swung his head around at him and glared. No. No, she cannot come. No! She's from the West Kingdom!

Ilia glanced at Dire to see what he thought, then shrugged. "Your friend doesn't seem to like that idea," she observed.

"Zephyrus just likes everything his way. It's okay, this is good for him. He needs to get out more." Devon stroked him, but the black horse kept his stony glare.

I am the last of my kind.
I'm the only Dragonblood left in this whole world.
This disappoints me slightly. My son is too far away for me to find out if he is a Dragonblood or not. Right now, he's plotting to murder my brother, the King. He's technically the High King, but not for long. Once he's dead, my son will take over the Northern Kingdom, and our conquest will be complete. The East is so easy to take down, we're saving them for last.
I fly over the tall trees as a dragon. My dragon form is large and dark grey, with battle scars all over. My wings have small punctures and slices, trophies of previous wars. Being a Dragonblood grants me ten extra years on my life, give or take a few, and the Shadow has given me immortality. By now, I practically am the Shadow.
I'm flying over the North Kingdom, and I came from the South. I was on a small raid on a village near the Sea, which was very easy. It was a fishing village, and the residents even tasted like the fish they collected.
I let out a deep, throaty roar. It echoes through the forest below me, and I grin a large fanged grin.
