Emrys shifted slightly as he was bombarded with a lot more stress than he'd bargained for. He hadn’t been expecting to be comforting his collecting officer, but hey, this was a weird day. There sure were a lot of emotions hanging around the rebel base. “Don’t hate on Nic, that’s not fair. He’s a good friend of mine…I think. Mavis, though, hate on her if you wanna. I’m down to talk smack.”
He wasn’t sure what he could consider Nic. Was good friend the right term for them? Descriptions involving friend for Emrys usually just meant Genesis, if he was honest. Did it matter? He still wasn’t appreciative of his collecting officer being rude about a guy who was shot. Maybe he was part of that fan club? Had he signed up for it unwittingly? Oops. He sighed slightly and leaned forward on his elbows, “Dude, I feel like you’re literally an officer, so you could just organise people to do your stuff or whatever. Nobody was posted anywhere to my knowledge, ‘cos Michael’s MIA and Bree’s focused on doing her medic-y stuff.”
Emrys leaned back again. It was kinda cold in here. He wondered if Nic was warm in his hoodie. Did the snowman ever get warm? He'd never been cold enough to give someone frostbite, apparently, but that wasn't saying much. Neither had Emrys. That'd be weird. Although if he'd been gifted with cool icy powers instead of a wacky advanced hearing thingy and a bond to a friend who had aBaNdOnEd him, maybe he'd be able to give people frostbite. Or maybe not, because Nic couldn't... Distracted thoughts that had gone full circle returned to Riku as he blinked a little.
"Uh, what? Why would I want your jacket? No thanks, you can keep it," he realised as he was saying the words why the other had offered. "Oh. I took my shirt off. It's all good. Don't worry about it. I'm chilling."
