Perry looked away as he listened to her list. Maybe some days he wished he could fly a little higher than the spires allowed him, or farther than the enclosure walls. Different food would be interesting. He wasn't sure what meat it was that they brought him, packaged and cut up. And on those days that the handlers or doctors never visited, he would get to be so bored... His head swiveled towards the door and be observed the claw marks that scarred its shiny surface. There were other harpies here, at one point. Dr. Caden had the scars himself to prove it. He wondered what it was that happened to them. Did they escape? Did they... Perry swallowed and looked down at Magdalena. He had been here much longer than her, and never once considered these things. He shook his head trying to rid it of these ideas. They were dark and frightening. She cursed him with Outside thinking! "Things could be much worse, you know!" he.screeched, turning his back to her. "You should appreciate what they have given us."

(I wouldn't mind, after all he's their doctor, so he's supposed to interact with them at least a bit.)
Magdalena took some time to think about that. "yes." she agreed, "things could be much worse. Our wings could be clipped, or we could be given bad food. But things could also be much better." she added. She knew Perry would know what she was talking about. "and compared to the Outside, I cannot appreciate what they have given us. Mostly remember what they have taken from us."

She was in a tree braiding vines together to make them stronger, her slightly ripped dress hanging off the tree she was humming as she did this

Malcolm wandered deeper into the fae forest, looking for them. Then he heard humming and started walking that way. He saw one of the fae, he couldn't remember her name, doing something with vines. This was only his second week, and he was still trying to remember their names. Malcolm walked shyly forward.

Juliet stopped humming when she heard him, but she kept braiding the vines together she jumped down to the next lower branch when she ran out of room to braid up there and kept braiding as she looked at him

Fae: only about 4' tall, medium-skinned, large butterfly wings, sometimes antennae

Malcolm stood there for a few seconds, unsure of what to do, then walked a bit closer. "Umm, what's your name?" he asked quietly. Why did he have to always be so shy??

Juliet flew down to the grown letting go of the vines "Juliet" She said slowly looking at him "Whats yours?" She said her soft voice helping her sound calmer than she actually is her antennae twitching

Anhrefn swooped back down and landed by the smaller Dragonborn. "I'm Anhrefn. Welsh for chaos, if you get the picture. I'm a Dragonborn. I refuse this humanoid title," She snarled. "There's nothing human about me."

He spread one wing in a stretch and gazed down at her. "Things could always be better. You shouldn't think with that mindset, or you could never be satisfied." He crouched down in his perch and nested his head in his feathers. A full belly was making him sleepy, and this conversation only made him uncomfortable. Perhaps if he dozed, the conversation would end. Though now a feeling of dread sat in his gizzard and made him feel almost guilty to be happy here.
