It was almost dusk now, and Taj finally felt strong enough to stand up. She stretched her aching muscles and joints and then went in search of water and food, she would also need to find somewhere safe to stay; the beach was to exposed for her liking. As she walked into the trees that lined the beach, she thought about her rescue, after all - there was no way she could have gotten out of that ship alive on her own... Someone would have had to dive (how deep had it been?!), no normal human being she knew could survive that deep for any sustained amount of time! She pondered these things until she almost fell into a lagoon that was hidden from the shore. She dipped a finger in and put it to her lips, it was pure. She quaffed more water down and gargled the last of that nasty salt out of her mouth. Suddenly, she heard a groan of pain. She quickly made her way toward the sound, still covered by the trees when she saw a...mermaid?! But then she wasn't a mermaid, not any more, in a couple seconds all of her scales appeared to melt off and her tail separated into legs. Then, out of nowhere, a real-live man ran toward her and asked if the mermaid/human was alright. Taj silently sunk to the ground in shock and confusion at what she was seeing.
(Is there anyone Corinne can interact with? I don't mind doing this alone, but I feel like it's kind of boring stuff for you guys to read if it's just me)
Corinne woke to find his grotto nearly dark. As he dug around his piles of junk looking for something decent to eat, he forgot that he had not bought any food the entire week. Well, now was as good a time as any. He grabbed a small kelp bag and swam out of his place and made his way toward the kingdom.
(What do merpeople eat anyways? And what kind of currency do they have?)
Btw: Are you feeling any better Oáyeia (sorry, don't know how to do your fancy name thing!)
