"Tsk. You're right. I know that well... I moved apartments some 3 times because some guy wanted to stab me," He grinned sheepishly at the memory of a man threatening him with a screwdriver.
"But I don't wanna leave just because I dunno what's out there, and I'm kinda attached to this strange and twisted place..."

Wern sat bown and nodded her head, and licked her muddy paw, "Yea, don't blame either of you, it's amazing here and I actually felt really in tune with my cat side as soon as I stepped foot in the woods. So, Jay, I never got to ask, what's your story? How come you moved here?" Wern asked.

"Eh... I didn't exactly move here. I was raised here, and have lived here my entire life. Me and my parents were forced to move here after they found out I would be a shifter. Once I was old enough to care for myself, they kindaaaa left. Moved back to the big human cities. I just stayed here. Decided to make a decent living until the day I die." He shrugged.
"Fairly typical. The only reason I got mixed up in this is because Night came to my store... I don't regret it, but she's the reason."

[Static light]

Wern nodded, "My parent did something similar but a little more cruel, anyways, is it just me or does Night have a thing for finding awesome people like me and you or what?" Wern puffed up her chest and purred at the comment.

He chuckled genuinely and smiled.
"I dunno. We managed to find some good people though... Some are a bit stubborn..." He paused, thinking of Miko.
"But good people. One of them you haven't met... He's a doctor. Saved my life. I feel bad for leaving him without even letting him know... He's around in the forest somewhere though. Probably with my dog..." He muttered the last part.

[Static light]

Wern lifted her paw and patted him on the back, "There, there, I'm sure mask left for a reason, Am I right?"

"Yeah... Plus, I owe him my life, I can deal with him taking my dog for a bit," He smiled softly, and picked up Wern, suddenly giving a little laugh,
"You know you're so cute? I could stay with a cat alone for weeks upon weeks..." He pretty much hugged her and nuzzled her.
