Storm killed some zombies while Atlas was responding to make sure everything was ok. Storm was happy Atlas knew greek as well and its nice to be able to talk to someone about it. So Storm said, "Thanks I dont know how my mother cam up with my name but I like it too. Also its nice your mother taught you I had to learn about it but it ended being a fun class to take. This might be a weird question to ask hut how do your powers work? Like to do just look in someone mind to see what they are thinking or what?" Storm didnt even know if Atlas knew what his powers work. For Storm he just squint his eyes and can see 200ft that way.

his powers? He looked down for a moment before back to storm. "well...I am not sure exactly but. I just think of someone or look at someone and their thoughts come out. Sometimes...I lose control, like when we are all sleeping, and I cant stop from hearing everyone's thoughts at once. Peoples thoughts are sometimes louder than others aswell, like when they are mad. It percy for instance, his voice is always loud in my head. Also the thoughts have this echo to them so it's easy to figure out if its thoughts or actual talking." he says at he shrugged. He wasnt totally forsure about every aspect of his ability. "most of the time I dont even have to think to hear someone's thoughts, it just ...happens. if that makes sense. What about you?" he asked.

Nova walked for a bit, she decided to go a different route which lead her to a gas station. She wasnt too far away from the compound but far enough to not see the fences anymore. She...had this feeling someone was watching her. She pulled out a knife that was strapped to her thigh. Her best bet if there was someone in there would be to teleport and take them by surprise. She took a deep breath before teleporting into the gas station and quickly looked around. But she didnt see anyone. She put the knife back on her strap and adjusted the straps on the backpack before taking a few steps. Broken glass crunched beneath her boot as she looked at the shelves. She still had this feeling of being watched as she uncomfortably tucked her hair behind on of her ears. She remained quiet though, and didnt call out. The last thing she needed was for it to be zombies and she is out here on her own.

indentationBenji watched as a girl teleported her way into the gas station. He slowly and quietly let out the breath he was holding. He slowly walked around the gas station to avoid her running into him and breaking his illusion. He was doing great until he bumped into a candy rack, causing it to fall to the floor with a rattle. "Crap." He muttered and tried to keep his illusion up but it was breaking. He felt the fabric of the reality he was creating faultering. "Maybe she didn't notice?" He thought to himself hopelessly.

she was looking down the shelves before she heard movement, then a candy rack fell over. She quickly grabbed her knife and threw it in his direction before turning around completely and looking around. She still didnt see anyone but the sense of someone being there was obvious at this point. She wondered if the knife skimmed whoever's it was, it was stuck in a wooden post behind where benji was. She face palmed as she realized. "good job, you just threw the only weapon you had.. " she whispered to herself. She didnt even think about it her body just reacted. Did this person have invisibility? What was this person able to do and why coulsnt she see them. She remained calm as she stared in the direction benji was, squinting her eyes, did she catch a glimpse of someone for a split second? She shook her head, just her eyes playing tricks on her? "hello...." she said but it was rather quiet. If there was a person here they would know her exact location at this point.

indentationShe heard it. Crap. Crap Crap. Suddenly a knife came whizzing passed him into the wooden beam next to his head and he looked at the girl with wide eyes. As his illusion faultered more he heard the girl call out "Hello." She sounded calm but it was quiet. He paused for moment think through all the possibilities. What if she had another weapon waiting? He didn't need weapons just his illusions. Maybe he could take her? No she definitely looks like she fights people for fun. He went against his gut and let down his illusion. Well here goes nothing I guess. "Hi." He replied back softly, letting the girl finally see him. "I-I'm Benji." His voice was rough due to not talking to anyone in years.

the eerie feeling of being watched still settled on her. She really wasnt one to fight, but she would if she needed to. She was more of the person to kick back and watch the sunset. She didnt have any other weapons, she was dumb for not being prepared. Then suddenly, a boy appeared infront of her, besides the candy rack just knocked over.
so it's not teleportation the rack wouldn't have been knocked over like that. It still could be invisibility but, when he revealed himself something else felt different, gosh I shouldn't have came out here by myself. she thought to herself.
She narrowed her eyes at the boy as he introduced himself. Should she trust him? No, not yet. keep your guard up... she told herself. Should she introduce herself? what would be the harm, it's not like he can look up where she lives on the internet. "nova..." she replied but her voice was laced with caution. This is the first outsider she has met since she has lived with the group. "I'll cut to the chase then, why were you hiding?" she asked. It was mostly because he could've hurt her if he wanted, but he didnt. So that told her at least he wasnt dangerous or has no weapon. But was he alone? And she still didnt know his ability, so that made him dangerous.

indentationBenji cleared his throat before speaking trying to shake the rust off his voicebox. "Its kinda my thing. Hide under illusions. I hide because its easier than fighting. It easier to be alone for me at least. Less people I uhm...Have to hide as well? If that makes any sense." He responded. "I-I know you're with that group. I'm not a threat. I just wanted food..If you want I can help you with that list of yours..Why are you out here alone? He questioned. Usually they travel in packs of 2-3. It was weird seeing one without more around.

"Well I have 20/20 vision but I can see 200 feet longer than that. When I squink my eyes that when I can see 200ft away but I think the normal vision I can at least see 100ft further its not the best power but its something. Nice powers by the way." Then for some reason anger swelled up in Storm maybe it was jealousy but he couldn't tell, so he kill more zombies and focused the anger on them. Storm wished he could do something other than kill zombies over and over and over again it was tiring to him so he sat down on what was grass. Waiting for Atlas to respond.

the boy seemed sincere and he seemed rather...innocent. ah so illusion. He wasnt invisible he just put a mask on to make him not appear. she thought. "I dont appreciate people messing with my head...." she stated to him as her eyes stayed watching him. She knew something felt....different here, and now that he wasnt hiding that feeling was gone.
His next comment kind of threw her for a loop. ' know you're with that group...' it rang in her head. not a threat.... she closed her eyes and quickly teleported directly infront of him now only a few inches away. She ignored his question for now...right now she needed answers. "you say you arent a threat....but that's hard to believe when you've been watching us. So why are you?" she was able to put 2 and 2 together. If he knew she was with them, that meant he knew about the group and probably been watching them, plus he was questioning why she was alone, which might've meant he watched people leave too. Her eyes looked at his, it was like she was looking for an answer before he even spoke. Was she being too cautious? Questioning him too much? She had gotten close to him and he could potentially have a weapon.
She just wanted to be safe, and cautious. Not put anyone else in danger.

atlas nodded slightly. "that's actually pretty cool....trust me...I'm not too fond of my power." he stated. It causes a lot of mistrust between him and others. It also makes it hard to know if someone actually likes or cares for him, mostly because they dont want to think Ill of him because he can hear them. He narrowed his eyes at the boy as his demeanor changed entirely. "are...you okay?" he asked. Even if storm didnt tell him, atlas would be able to figure out through his thoughts. Unless of course storm kept his thoughts clear.
A small part of atlas did like his power but that's only because it was easy for no secrets, and it was easy to figure out peoples issues or communicate without words which some people like bow had a problem with.

indentationBenji's eyes widen and he jumped and threw his hands up in defense. "Whoa whoa. I camp near your compund. Less dead heads because your guys take them out. You guys have never noticed me because of my illusion. I only hid to protect myself just in case you guys weren't friendly." He rushed out trying to defend himself from the girl. He backed away only to have his back hit the wooden beam with the knife in it. He took the knife out and held it in front of him towrads Nova. "H-here. I will say it again. I am no threat to you or your people. I am unarmed. I've only survived this long due to my mutation."
